This our 3rd time enjoying a family weekend (across 3 generations) in different locations and West End Farm was our best yet! The house is stunning, finished to a high standard and felt so homely and comfortable. It is large and roomy, and everything has been thought off – the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The pool and hot tub were a particular highlight for the children (ranging from 10-15) who spent hours enjoying it, perfect for a winter weekend and the cousins enjoying hanging out together and burning off some steam! One of the nicest cottages we’ve ever stayed in! Beautifully designed, decorated and equipped with a huge and incredibly comfortable bed. Set in its own grounds alongside West End Farm (which we were lucky enough to get a look at and which I’m currently saving up for!) There were koi carp and sheep and a beautiful ex racehorse plus the dogs were delighted with the secure dog paddock. Highly recommend!
Wow. From the minute we drove through the gates it was a wow moment! And that was just the start. The kitchen was huge with a massive island, 2 fridges, 2 freezers and 2 dishwashers. It had everything you needed to cater for large groups. Everything had been thought of. Moving through to the dining area, the grand piano was already playing, giving an instant calmness. That welcome with freshly baked bread and a fabulous welcome hamper had set the scene. This has been our 3rd visit to the Knoll, we love it, it is the most perfect place to unwind and switch off. The house has everything, it’s super dog friendly with its own doggy park, there is the hot tub, it is beautifully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. Added to this it is set in the most wonderful and peaceful surroundings anyone can ever wish for and yet not too far away from the many must see Yorkshire villages and coast.

What a fabulous time we had during our stay at Cowslip Retreat. From the beautiful scenery to the immaculate and comfortable accommodation. The welcome hampers for ourselves and our dog were a lovely touch. Will definitely be back. Can highly recommend.

Just lovely….so cute and easy to walk into the village…the outlook was breath taking…we’d love to come back x
The cottage is lovely & the view is gorgeous. The owners are very helpful. The downstairs is perfect for 6 people, lots of comfortable seating & the kitchen was very well equipped. The only negative, as others have mentioned, is the 2 upstairs bedrooms. They are very very small. 2 people in our group were over 6ft and found the ensuites so small they couldnt really use them. The downstairs bedroom has a proper ensuite & much more room in the bedroom.
