Set in 22 acres in South East Cornwall, Kernock Cottages has five luxury 5* Gold cottages sleeping 2, 4, 6 and 8. Peaceful and tranquil, but only 6 miles from Plymouth, 9 miles from the beach and 15 miles from both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Dogs and children very welcome.
We’ve never stayed anywhere quite like Kernock. It’s perfection tucked away down a beautiful driveway. Cottage was really well equipped with everything you might possibly need and more.
Highlights - hot tub with amazing views, most comfortable bed I’ve possibly ever slept in, great quality gas barbecue that we cooked most meals on, extremely clean (and I am a clean freak), very dog friendly and not forgetting very welcoming and super helpful hosts. Great local pub within walking distance, great welcome pack and growing herbs in pots to add a bit of flavour to our food (or drink?!)

The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
Excellent for dogs. Accommodation well-appointed. The cottage and site were good. The location is not conducive to wandering out for a walk or to find a small shop - car always required.
We had a wonderful stay at The Coach House and felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The setting is idyllic—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle. The cottage itself is very well equipped, extremely clean, combining luxury with a warm homely feel. The welcome pack was fantastic and also included treats and a toy for Maggie (our dog, with her new duck becoming a firm favourite!). As dog owners, we really appreciated how genuinely dog-friendly the accommodation was. There was plenty of space for walks at Central Bark and Maggie was made to...more
More like stay at a friend's house than a holiday rental, and I mean that in a good way. From the well-kept fixtures and fittings to the interesting art on the walls to the cosy beds and comfy best towels this was like staying at a well-healed mate's house.
Being met on arrival was a nice touch along with the welcome pack.
Lots of disability equipment (I'm a wheelchair user) was excellent along with accessibility pen-portraits of many local venues made life easy.
This quiet very rural location was a delight with the only noise at nighttime the occasional hoot of an owl.

We (two adults and three children) had a fantastic stay in Owl Barn. The whole estate is very well maintained and is in such a peaceful location of south east Cornwall. The property itself was clean with lots of room for a family of 5 and full of everything you need for a self catered holiday. The views from the property's hot tub are a real highlight.
Damian and Louise are such wonderful hosts. Ahead of the stay and during, we were provided with lots of information about the location of the property and things to do nearby. Prior to our visit we had read what great hosts Damian and Louise...more
