Very comfortable and stylish accommodation. Welcoming hosts who greeted us with prosecco and cookies. We look forward to returning!
Bibury is so quaint and relaxing and full of history, just like the Bothy. We had everything we needed for a short stay, welcomed by biscuits and fresh flowers and even some fizz in the fridge. A nice touch.
We have just had 2 delightful days staying In Hyde Tynings for my daughters wedding , the cottage was so well stocked and everyone was so helpful and charming Just one suggestion that some other form of heating in the new conservatory except air conditioning and a very small wood burner and as the room is a good size you cannot feel the heat so we were rather cold in that room and with the air con on it made a noise it would be better if there were radiators in that room as they are everywhere else . We will be back Thank you once again for letting us use your home Regards Judy Charnley
A perfect holiday home for a large family gathering - a beautiful, spacious cottage, nicely furnished and well equipped for all needs. Good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend to friends and family of all ages.
We can not thank enough to Adam and Lois for making our stay at the Old Fox Cottage such a lovely and memorable experience. They are without any doubt the best hosts ever! The cottage is super beautiful and very tastefully decorated, it is full of lovely touches, generously supplied and spotlessly clean. We felt like at home from the very first minute, to the point that we decided to extend our holidays for another week!!!! We absolutely recommend the Old Fox Cottage, our stay there was like a dream come true!!
We stayed here for a long weekend. It was lovely place, a good size for 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The stairs were quite steep and the cold air came in the front door but the rooms were very warm and cozy. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of books and DVDs to keep us occupied when we weren't out walking around Malmesbury and the surrounding countryside.
Experienced a most delightful 2+ week stay at Lovell Cottage prior to Christmas. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a Christmas wreath on the front door, a Christmas tree in the drawing-room, and delicious tea cake and table setting in the kitchen all of which were unexpected delights. What a lovely way to start off one's visit. Lovell Cottage has been carefully updated from both a structural and architectural perspective in terms of floor layout, dual fireplace, appliances, and baths. The kitchen, in particular, is spacious and most inviting from both a functional and aesthetic point-of-vi...more
Stepping Stones provides a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds. It is within easy driving distance to nearby villages, Blenheim, and Stratford-upon-Avon. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable with a beautiful patio area and backyard brook.
Absolutely lovely, very private, very clean and everything you could need is there! Would definitely recommend and hopefully return!
Lovely location right in the heart of Ledbury. Easy to miss the entrance and drive way to car park narrow. Care required. Once navigated, you find each accomodation has its own parking space in the courtyard. Accomodation was spacious with a mixture of modern and traditional fittings. Plenty of draw space for up to s weeks stay (we were there for 4 nights). Kitchen well equipped and the shower room clean fitted with both a traditional showerhead and a rain shower head.Easy to use. The couple who managed us welcome d us and we're happy to talkand assist (though didn't need to) whenever w...more
The Coach House is in an elevated position within the pretty hamlet of Saintbury and close to Broadway. We traveled as a family of 5 (including 3 boys aged 12 through to 20). The property was superbly furnished with plenty of space for us all. The 3 bedrooms were a very good size (2 of which had decent sized walk in wardrobes) and there were plenty of mod-cons (Sky TV, X-Box, DVD player, integrated speakers etc). The laundry was large and both that and the kitchen were well equipped. Having 2 lounges was a bonus for a family group. The whole place was clean and tidy. There was a lovely litt...more
A beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped and charming cottage with everything you need in the heart of Stow on the Wold. Fantastic!
Our stay was wonderful. What a beautiful little hut. Brilliant for an escape! In the day we walked around the beautiful area and had amazing food at The Crown and in the evening we stay gazed from the hot tub! Dreamy :). Thank you.
A cosy cottage just off the main road to Chipping Camden or Broadway set beside a field of sheep. A very peaceful break with walks from your doorstep. The local pub has sadly closed but we found a wide variety of pubs whilst touring the area. The beds were extremely comfortable and the living room was very cosy for evening chill time. Many thanks.
Just returned from a very welcome break at Singer House and it was the perfect retreat from the crazy stresses of 2020. Regular visitors to the Cotswolds we have never stayed in Campden before but can’t recommend this stunning house highly enough. It’s beautifully appointed and as good as it looks on the pictures. Would love to return in the summer when the beautiful courtyard would be a wonderful place to spend time. Great location at the end of the high street and lots of beautiful villages within a short drive too. We will definitely return!
We had a wonderful stay at Suncroft Cottage... despite the rainy weather. The cottage is equipped with all the basic amenities visitors could ask for in a weekend away: A fully equipped kitchen, cosy gas fireplaces, Smart TV, etc. But the No 1 selling point of this charming cottage are the views and beautiful garden. Both seem to go on forever and give you a real sense of escaping to the countryside. The bustling town of Banbury is a 5-minute drive for general shopping and groceries, and there are understated pubs and restaurants in neighbouring villages. Suncroft is perched high on top of...more
We made a last minute booking for this property as we were unable to go to Wales as planned because of Covid restrictions and the guy in the Bolthole office on the Saturday was really helpful. This is a beautiful Victorian house, opposite the park and 5 mins walk to Gloucester Quays and only slightly further to the city centre. We loved the house which was very well equipped and tastefully decorated and furnished. The welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch. We were able to park 3 cars in the garage and outside space and we really enjoyed the hot tub in the garden. I suspect that the pric...more
Beautiful little cottage in a perfect location. Car parking space was ideal. Would like to return when the weather is nicer and enjoy using the garden.
I thought the cleaning charge was excessive -there was no hand sanitiser left unlike what it says on your website so we had to buy are own .Also no spare rubbish bags which I think you should have supplied AApart from that enjoyed staying in lovely house in quiet village I do not want this review placed on public website
Maisey Cottage is a very well maintained and beautifully extended cottage. It is very well equipped with quality goods making for an extremely comfortable stay.
Gladstone cottage is one of the best houses we’ve stayed in! Very well equipped, beautifully decorated & comfortable beds! Great pub next door and beautiful garden. Will return!
everything we needed for our stay was provided, the house was spotless on arrival, beds very comfy and 2 minutes walk onto the high street - thanks so much we really enjoyed our stay
Beautifully appointed cottage on the edge of Northleach village. Great base for exploring the cotswolds.
Wow. Our stay at Stable cottage was faultless. We were blessed with beautiful weather so really got to enjoy the outdoor space a lot. Little touches like going to get fresh eggs from the chickens each day & feeding the goats was great. Serena was a perfect host and always on hand if we had any questions. The farm is close to Bath, a really easy drive in. We will definitely be returning again this summer & would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
We were in the area for a family wedding. The accommodation was very clean and had every amenity we needed. The only issue we had was after enquiring by email as to whether there was a walk-in shower due to having older parents, we received a reply confirming there was. But in fact it is an over the bath shower not a walk-in so this was an issue. Otherwise the accommodation was excellent.
Loved everything about the cottage. Had a few days just before lockdown Spacious, warm very clean, well equipped. Really loved it, great shower, comfy beds. Appreciated the tea and coffee and cleaning materials. Great small dishwasher. No complaints
We had the most incredible and relaxing stay. The highlights were the living room area and hot tub (which was heated and actually very hot! Was amazing in the winter cold). The wood burning fire was also a total treat. Oh and the goats/chickens/blue the dog. The hosts were all very helpful and friendly and we felt very looked after (even though they leave you alone and it’s private, there’s always someone around to be cheerful and help you in an instance). Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to everyone.
We spent an amazing weekend at the kingfisher cottage just before the 2nd national lockdown. The cottage has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, very spacious with an amazing river view and a great variety of kitchen equipments for cooking and baking. Excellent location, very close to the town center and next to many walking tracks. Super friendly hosts, highly recommend this cottage!
Superb cottage suitable for a 3 generation family. Walks from the door, the High Street a short stroll and the beauty of the Cotswolds all around. No hesitatioin in recommending both the cottage and Bolt Hole Retreats who handled our booking.
Beautiful home!! Lovely walks all around, short walk to a wonderful local shop and pub. We had a perfect weekend and would love to return to this home, 100% recommend!!
The house is gorgeous made all the more beautiful by the views. The host provided robes, slippers and a welcome hamper of goodies which was a lovely touch. I wouldn’t definitely recommend this place!
Our third visit to Appletree Cottage which is snugly nestled in the gorgeous Bourton on the Water and we adore the warm welcome and cozy feel the cottage provides. The village and local area deliver a stunning landscape as well as having all the local amenities needed. It does what it says on the tin!!
Lovely, quintessential cottage in a brilliant location. Thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break in such a scenic spot.
An attractive cottage with loads of charm to enjoy the wonderful countryside in period style. However, our experience was brought down by a very uncomfortable night's sleep due to the unsupportive mattress and pillows in the master room along with the bedding. With this issue sorted, the cottage would have been perfect in our opinion. We left after the first night of a week's stay. In fairness, the owner disagrees with our assessment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this cottage. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The location was super, close to local shops so everything nearby, complete with easy access to some wonderful walks too. The local restaurants were excellent but you will need to book in advance. A cottage we would highly recommend and one we look forward to returning to.
We had a good weekend, at Jasmine Cottage. Comfortable and cosy and all we needed for a weekend break with friends.
Overall a really nicely appointed cottage. Good quality fixtures and fittings, washer/drier, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, lovely rainforest shower, comfy beds. Nice touch to have a bottle of Prossecco and chocolates as a welcome. Also to be provided with milk, coffee, loo rolls, coffee pods, and other essentials as a starter. We stayed over the Christmas period and we even had a decorated and illuminated Christmas tree in the lounge when we arrived, fantastic! A few niggles - to access the cottage you need to climb a series of steps, unfortunately these are poorly lit and are a hazard ...more
The team who manage the estate were incredible, they were so helpful and available to help. My mother has limited mobility and the farm house was comforted, nurturing and provided all what we needed for a healing retreat. I can’t wait to come again.
We went for a long weekend in the Cotswolds. The house was perfect for us (4 adults and 2 and 1 year old). House had everything we needed. The separate dining room was lovely and good to have a separate space. Coln St.Alwyns was such a cute village. Great local playground and lots of walks. Perfect!
This was an absolutely wonderful girls weekend getaway. Katherine & the team were very hospitable, warm & friendly; though their dog Blue was our favourite host! The location was perfectly disconnected from the “outside” world, though still close enough to grab a few groceries & take out. The walls surrounding the property were really lovely & easy to complete. We loved having the fresh produce available from the farm incl. fresh eggs & veggies. The hosts were kind enough to ensure we had everything we needed & gladly accommodated with a late checkout. The house was so cozy & relaxing;...more
We had a fantastic 3 nights staying at Emma Dent cottage. The cottage was perfect for us as 3 friends with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen and living area is great and we loved the location. Free entry to the castle was great and Winchcombe has some lovely pubs too, aswell as being a short drive from lots of other lovely little towns. We just wish we had stayed longer!
Lovely short break in an apartment at Sudeley Castle. Exceptionally clean and equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds and super soft towels. Apartment was on a beautiful complex a couple of minutes walk from the restaurants and pubs. Was a birthday treat so we wanted something special but expensive so definitely not something we could afford every often!
We had such a wonderful time in Holly Cottage, it was the perfect getaway for friends to get together and enjoy some fresh air especially during such difficult times. The cottage itself was incredibly spacious and well kitted out; very homely, cosy and the decor very tasteful. We had fresh flowers from the owners and the house is so perfectly situated in the village of Coln St. Aldwyns - easy access to footpaths, friendly people and beautiful views. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
We had a great time at 27 Horsefair - the cottage was just absolutely perfect and very clean, we especially loved using the fireplace! It was beautifully decorated, had everything you need and also located a 5 min walk to the town where there are lots of things to do and see, as well as an abundance of great pubs. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a trip to the Cotswolds! Thank you very much!
I struggle to decide whether to give a good review of my stay at Bellhouse. I know if I do, then a lot of people will read about it, and then a lot of people will want to go and stay in this house, then it will be more difficult for me to book this house again in the future. But my conscience tells me that I must tell the truth! My feeling was ..... a great place to stay, the house was full of character and my family loved it. Just book it, I am sure you will like it too.
Cute cottage with all the amenities needed. Close walk to the castle and town center. Quiet area surrounding the cottage which was nice. Went during the holidays and they had put up a little Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. Would visit again!
We stayed in South Winds for 3 nights in December and were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen area is fantastic and well equipped. It is conveniently located without being in an area that is too busy and crowded. My only small criticism was that the meet and greet service were unable to meet and greet us!
The cottage is very comfortable, well-equipped cottage and very spacious. It is perfect for multi-day stays.
Arrived late in the day and was welcomed by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, a bottle of fizz and a box of chocs. Very unexpected. The tree especially made such a different to our short, but sweet Christmas. Very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels, Huge shower - no bath. Comfortable and cosy bedrooms. My husband had to work during our visit so the study area in the main bedroom was brilliant. Plenty of sockets in all the right places. Good wifi. Plenty of parking and excellent location for walking and all the local shops (when allowed)! Staff regularly around for any prob...more
We had a lovely time last weekend, a much needed escape for a few nights. The property was spotless and the accommodation was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed walks around the surrounding area and a night out at the nearby White Hart Inn where the teenagers voted the chocolate brownie dessert one of the best ever ! The castle staff were very friendly, unfortunately we weren't able to see inside the castle much due to covid restrictions but the sun came out for a while when we were able to enjoy the grounds. We hope you are able to re-open your doors soon !
A perfect base for country dog- walks on the doorstep while also being only a short drive from Cheltenham town centre for some christmas shopping. The Gatehouse is quirky and delightful. Everything was spotless on arrival - the welcome pack of coffee pods, milk and preserves a nice touch. After a short walk into Winchcombe we discovered Fantastic Foods - a treasure trove of interesting tasty treats where we found everything else we needed. The property is very well equipped throughout and furnished to a good standard. A great place to visit at any time of year but we were lucky enough to ...more
We recently enjoyed a fabulous 5 day stay at Sudeley Cottages staying in the delightfully charming Queen Mary Cottage. It was superbly located being a 2 minute walk into the beautiful Winchcombe village, a 5 minute drive to Cleve Hill and a 20 minute drive from most of the wonderful Cotswold villages such as Bourton-on-the-water, Stowe-on-the-Wold and Broadway. The cottage was amply stocked and a perfect winter getaway for a family of 4. The bottle of Prosecco was also a lovely touch. Thoroughly recommended!
We had a last minute booking and have had a wonderful week of walking and loved the opportunity to spend time visiting Sudeley Castle and it's beautiful gardens. Lady Jane Grey is a perfect cottage with lots of space, very well equipped and excellent heating for the cooler evenings!
Clean, beautiful cottage for a perfect family stay. Well equipped and location was so good - close to restaurants, cafes etc.
The cottage was a Cotswold stone early 19 /20 century delight. Location to Sudeley Castle and the picturesque town of Whinchcomb excellent. Sympathetically furnished in keeping with the older style of the cottage and very much feeling like a home. Highly recommend this property . We will certainly book again.
Great location if you are looking for a comfy house in the heart of the Cotswolds. House was clean with all needed amenities and very comfy. Good playpark opposite for the kids. Good walks and scenery on the door step. Village has pub and shop.
This was a lovely safe place for us to lock down in the week between selling one home and completing the purchase of another. The stressful experience was made easier by having this lovely place to ourselves.
We stayed at Grindstone Mill for 4 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The house is incredibly spacious-more than enough for us: 4 adults and 2 children. Large and well-equipped kitchen with a lovely adjoining seating area. Very comfortable master bed! Great location allowing for some lovely walks straight out the door. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful luxury break
Overall we had a very nice stay at Amber Cottage, we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped, I have to praise the owner for the pots, pans, plates and glasses etc, everything had been thought of in advance. The open plan layout works well, with two of us staying we had a very relaxed time while also taking time to go to many of the local sites, great access to Gloucester, Cirencester, Bristol (Air museum) and lots of Cotswold locations. We both got what we wanted from the holiday and came back refreshed and happy with our stay. This is also extremely well situated for the 417 Bike Par...more
One of my concerns about going away during the pandemic was the cleanliness of the accommodation. Princess Elizabeth cottage was immaculate. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and all the equipment and appliances are top notch. The beds are comfy and there’s plenty of storage space. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra night. The cottage is on a small complex with plenty of parking. It’s a few minutes stroll into Winchcombe which has plenty of food shops, cafes , restaurants and pubs. It’s also a short walk from Sudeley Castle and there are s...more
This house was stunning, so characterful and brilliantly quirky! We had a great time staying here and loved the remoteness and energy of the space! Would definitely love to come back - a few of the guests are already rebooking!
Brilliant trip for a bit of a wind down after a weird few months. Hosts very helpful and friendly, location while rural is not too far from needed amenities, everything clean and tidy. We couldn’t have asked for much else. Thanks!
The cottage was more spacious than expected and we had a lovely time using it as a base to explore the local area. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. Garden was fully enclosed which was good for our escape artist dog! One of the double rooms is quite small for 2 adults, but plenty of communal areas so not an issue. Lovely pub in village - horse and groom highly recommended and lots of good walks from the doorstep.
Lovely quiet location with an abundance of walks on your doorstep. Cute cottage, which felt very clean, which is so important in the current times.
Very nice well equipped clean cottage. Would have no hesitation recommending to others. The only negative during our stay was the failure of the plumber to turn up to fix the radiator in the double bedroom. Very cold!!
This is a lovely well furnished and equipped property. We visited in early December and were delighted to find Christmas decorations, including a Christmas tree and flowers in the kitchen. It is just this level of attention to detail that makes the property very special. The kitchen had everything we needed, and was by the far the best of any rental properties we’ve stayed in both here and abroad. It felt like you were staying at home. The property was scrupulously clean, the bedding and soft furnishings sumptuous. I would thoroughly recommend New Church Cottage.
Beautiful architectural property with high quality feel and finishes Excellent position and views However let down on some fundamental areas Heating - not working properly / broken thermostats etc and housekeeping support not really able to help - significant problem in December !! Had to bring unsightly radiators after 2 nights of sitting in blankets!! Poor quality bedding not fitting properly Only small double beds in 2 bedrooms - should be larger as there Is space - very uncomfortable for adult couple!! Outside wooden steps extremely slippery when wet and could cause accidents - n...more
Walkley wood cottage was lovely. Gave us a great base to explore the Cotswolds. Would recommend this property
Stayed here for over a month and the cottage was a perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds. I’d highly recommend it.
The property was very clean and located in pleasant village with big garden and good views. The quality of the contents was more for a B&B rather than a £800 for two night property. Curtains made in light material and ill fitting meant bad sleep. The booking via Bolthole confirmation said checkout at 11am but on the notice in the kitchen was 10am. Two cleaners turned up wanting to start well before our contracted check out time and when we asked them to come back later, they argued we were wrong - slightly irritated given the actual contract was with Bolthole who’s terms override anything...more
Cosy cosy cottage perfect for a cold weekend in February. Furnished to a high standard very well equipped kitchen. Loved to aga. Lovely setting with patio in the back, fire in the lounge which made it lovely & warm. Would highly recommend. Only gripe I have is the shower door in main bathroom needs to be sorted as water leaked onto floor.
Property is a lovely characterful place, with lots of nice original features and complimentary decor. Was really nice to have a freshly baked cake and bottle of wine waiting for us, it made us all feel very welcome and instantly at home. Due to the age of the property it does need some repairs, the oak door needs attention as lots of wind was coming through it making the lounge very cold even with the fire on and some windows (especially the ones in the attic) need attention as they are drafty and makes the road noise even louder. We had a issues with the hot water and a few of us had cold sho...more
Upon arriving to the property we had to wait for 45 minutes because the key lock wasn't working properly. The outside of the cottage was full of rubbish bags, cans of beer and trash that was accumulated from previous guests. We then came in to a lovely decorated living room with lights and a Christmas tree. The problem is there is one very small sofa and 2 armchairs which means you're not really comfortable for more than 30 minutes... We then discovered that the beds in the house are very old with tough springs that poke your back when you sleep. The bath was old and the faucets in the s...more
