Aged 3 to 80, plus dogs 1 and 8, we soon settled into Marram House. It’s a family home as if the owners have just popped out - very well equipped including children’s toys and books which were much enjoyed at 6am (quietly!!). Really good kitchen and dining room across the back of the house, and separate utility room. Sleeping soundly upstairs, the owners made us all feel very welcome indeed. A minute or two from Bamburgh centre and maybe 5 minutes to the beach - if we didn’t stop at the children’s playground on the way. Extensive walks from the door and excellent location for coastal exploration from Berwick to Alnwick as well as inland to the Coquet valley and Cheviots. We all climbed up to the Drake Stone - a particular highlight - returning in the sunset to our lovely holiday home. Of course, good places to eat all around, unbeatable coast and magnificent castles (Bamburgh particularly splendid, but the others good too). Thank you!

This house is the best location ever for accessing Bamburgh, the castle and the beach. Literally 5 mins walk from everything which meant we saw sun rises and sunsets and had early morning and late night swims as the car wasn't needed.
The house was clean and tidy on arrival although the pots on the front step would benefit from some nice plants instead of giant weeds and toadstools! However ample parking for the 3 cars we had.
A spacious property which allows a family group to spread out and engage in different activities. The garden is quite small and not suitable to children to play in.
