The Old Vet's Surgery is a cute little bolthole just for two. This single-storey holiday home is spacious for two guests and is pet friendly too, welcoming 2 well-behaved dogs. The Old Vet's Surgery is in a central position within the historic village of Wooler, yet tucked away where no passing visitors can see. There is private parking for 1 car and a pleasant area to sit out and enjoy an evening aperitif. The Old Vet's Surgery is next door to Strathmore, which sleeps 10 guests and can be booked in addition for larger parties of 12, to accommodate another couple who may wish to enjoy some time separate from the main house. Free Wi-Fi. Graded 4 stars with a prestigious GOLD award by Visit England. Free Digital Guidebook.

Lovely property with all amenities you would need for any length of stay
Location great for central Wooler and access to the Cheviots and surrounding coastline
The entrance to property for parking tight despite my recalling same managed to catch side of car.
Lovely welcome lights were on which helped navigate the property
Great welcome hamper for myself and my 2 dogs and the ginger cake especially appreciated as home made.
Overall a very comfortable well appointed property
Excellent service and support in booking property

The cottage is in a great location near to the high street. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the condition of the place. Several kitchen items need to be been replaced, chipped plates and cups, pans with hardly any non stick coating left. The bathroom towels were grey and stained.

Great little downstairs apartment (not cottage) to stay in.
Excellent location for touring and facilities nearby.
Nice welcome pack for both us and the dog.
Just need to point out that the kitchen unit tap was falling off and needed fixing/replacing before we arrived.

Lovely cottage & area . Not far from most of the coast and other attractions . Plenty of food shops & restaurants nearby .
Only thing was the plumbing in the bathroom was extremely noisy and the shower screen leaked .
The welcome hamper was tremendous.
The parking is a bit tight if you have a biggish car .

Thiis downstairs flat(it is not a cottage) is comfortable and clean. The hamper is a nice touch. If you are noise sensitive you can hear the tv from upstairs and walking about. The tv recepton is poor and the internet is intermittent.although the kitchen is well equipped there is no space to store dry goods(cake, biscuits etc) as every cupboard is full. There are no coat hangers provided. The small outside space is gravelled and not suitable for small dogs. The outdoor furniture is in need of a clean. Parking within the soace provided is extremely difficult. The foliage from the property next dooor(owned by the same people)is overgrown and restricts the view and also turning from a narrow lane into a small space is hard.( my husband damaged his car badly trying to acheive this manouvre)

We had a fabulous time at the Old Vet's Surgery. The hot tub was fired up and ready for us to use on arrival and was amazing. The owners had provided the largest welcome basket we have ever had and provided soaps and shampoo as well. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. Wooler is a little market town with some nice shops and easy access to walking in the hills.

Lovely , homely and well decorated little cottage. Has everything you need for your stay - including appliances, linen and bedding! It has a lovely feel to the place , bed comfortable and so are the sofa and chairs.
Added bonus of the complimentary hamper for both humans and our dog !
Garden is pebbled ans secure so as long as your dog is fine with pebbles it gives you a good sense of security if your dog got put into the yard at anytime . The owners - Catherine and Hamish are so kind and considerate too, we visited Late Oct so expected cold weather, however due to the rain , Catherine kindly let us use the hot tub in the adjoining property that they own which meant we could still use the hot tub but with an umbrella! Spot on location too - literally around the corner to the high street . Overall would definitely visit / use again , great hosts , great amenities and despite the rain a great little dog friendly trip away! Thank you !

Overall the property was lovely. It is a good size, parking available and in a fab location. However, the hallway had not been cleaned when we arrived which led to quite a bit of dog hair still being in corners (not the end of the world for us as we have a dog but something to be aware of). We were looking forward to using the hot tub but unfortunately the water had quite a bit of dirt/broken down leaves in it which we couldn’t get out with the skimmer provided. The welcome hamper was beautiful and much of the house has been done up to a lovely standard.

Gorgeous little cottage with everything we needed, very dog friendly too. Wooler is a lovely market town, with lots of places to visit about 30 mins from the cottage and with great walks in and around Wooler itself, would recommend and would definitely return.

Fabulous cottage tucked away only a short walk away from Wooler High Street. Extremely clean and comfortable, well equipped & pet friendly. Lovely outside space with seating and a hot tub. Fabulous welcome hamper also included containing local produce & a good collection of info for local walks. The coast isn't too far away approximately 30min drive, so you can enjoy the cheviots and the coast at this location!

Lovely little spot well hidden with know distractions.
Facilities were good especially the wood fired hot tub which was really good for an early morning cold dip when cooled down.
Dog loved it and 20 minute drive to the coast.
Wooler was nice with a lovely Italian restaurant highly recommended.

A well furnished ground floor flat in Wooler with enclosed gravel drive for single car and hottub! Dog friendly a key reason for our choice. Nice spacious kitchen. Reasonably comfy lounge for boxset bashing on Netflix! Excellent customer service from Coquet and the owners. Wooler has new attraction as Ad Grefin , new Northumbria, whiskey distillery and smart bistro.
