Beautiful Villa and everything we needed. 20 minute walk to Kalkan or you can get a taxi for £2... (we went in June and was too hot to walk with 3 children).

Views are stunning.. not looked over at all with this villa. Definitely worth the stay.

We stayed as a group of 8 in September 22
and loved this villa .. this is our 7th trip to kalkan and we would all agree that this was our favourite booking .

All bedrooms overlook the bay and have an amazing view …

Beautiful terrace and pool and you get the sun all day .
The villa is very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need .

We would thoroughly recommend and will hopefully be back next year !

The Villa had everything we needed and was in a great location with amazing views. Lovely outside space and pool area. It was a 25 minute walk into Kalkan old town and easy to get taxis back. The four double bedrooms are all equally beautiful with en-suite shower rooms but three have see-through glass doors. Lovely top twin room with balcony but limited head space into the en-suite. Would highly recommend this Villa and hope to come back.

Beautiful Villa with the most stunning views from every room and outside areas. Very well maintained, very well equipped (especially the kitchen) and very clean. Staying in October the sun didn’t get onto the terrace until around 10.30/11.00 but once it arrived it was with us until the sunset. The walk into town from the Villa is fine - one relatively short uphill stretch immediately outside the Villa then down hill all the way but Kisla is certainly not as convenient as other areas of Kalkan. The local supermarket didn’t have much stock when we were there (I am sure it is different in normal years) so we had to shop in town. For us the only negative about the Villa were the glass fronted bathrooms in 3 of the double rooms. It would perhaps have been okay if it was only the basins on full view but having the loo centre stage was, for us, too much. We appreciate it is a matter of personal preference but it is something to be aware of when considering booking.

The villa was very well presented and we had an excellent stay. The views of Kalkan bay are excellent from all the rooms. Kalkan is very hilly so bear that in mind......but taxis are very cheap if you need them to get around.

I highly recommend Villa Defne. It is located in the smaller Kishla area thus captures the full evening sun, a 10 min (£3) taxi drive to the Old Town - far enough that the 5am Call to Prayer drifts gently in the wind (as opposed to being a long alarm call). 210 steps below (a 8 min walk) is Mahal Beach Club, one of the best in the bay with ping pong, swimming in the pristine and jelly fresh free sea and a water taxi to the Old Harbour or to Aristotle’s Water Sports (highly recommended). Immaculately clean with tainted windows to reduce the glare, spectacular views but NOT overlooked and effective air con, the villa was ideal for us.

The villa location and first impression was great, really lovely area, fantastic views and the modern style of the villa suited us as a family. Generous rooms, well furnished and clean. Our stay at the villa was hampered by a number of fairly basic issues. The hot water wasn't working for the first few days and the water pressure was non existent so having a wash proved difficult! Much effort was made to sort this out which we appreciate but for a villa of this cost it wasn't idea at all. Also the air conditioning units cause water to collect outside the main door to the pool, this was quite dangerous as the kids were coming in and out this way, my youngest daughter slipped and hurt herself on day one. There were a few other maintenance issues in the villa, the top floor bathroom really stank which was another issue with the plumbing, we didn't use this room at all as a result. Overall we love Kalkan, we liked this villa but some of these issues aren't great when on holiday, we didn't want to have to make calls every day about the plumbing. Also the kitchen wasn't as well equipped as in other villas and there were no instructions for the house, this was put down to Covid but the second villa we stayed in have all the details you need to help have a great stay. We will visit Kalkan again but not sure we would return to Defne because of the basic problems we experienced.

This is the 2nd time we have booked this villa, and it's perfect for 3 couples as all bedrooms are front facing, with great views of the sea.
The villa is very private And not overlooked by the pool area.
Our only negative comments are the lack of kitchen utensils, the unavailable Wi-Fi on the upper floors (even though there was a booster) and the poor plumbing! The showers barely had any pressure, even when just 1 of them was in use so for 6 people, it took a long time to get ready to go out.
The management team are very helpful.
All in all, the villa satisfied our requirements for a great holiday.

We carried out extensive research before booking Villa Defne as we have visited Kalkan before and knew the area we wanted to stay in. We were delighted on arriving at Villa Defne as it was exactly as we had expected from its description on Olive Tree Travels website. The whole booking process with Olive Tree Travel was very efficient and we would not hesitate to use them again.

We were two families of ten adults. Although the top twin room was small it served its purpose for two of our family members. All the other bedrooms were generous and well equipped. The pool area, although smaller than other villas we have stayed in was perfect and we all found there was enough space. The sun-beds were very comfy. The pool and surrounding area was cleaned every morning, they even took all our empty bottles each morning!

The one USP Kalkan has, Villa Defne especially, are the breathtaking views which you can appreciate from every room!

If there was one little gripe it would be that the villa could really do with a larger fridge or an additional fridge. It never really got cold and once some food and drinks were in it, the fridge filled up very quickly!!!

We could not fault Olive Tree Travels agents whilst in Kalkan. Abi Travel transported us in a luxurious small coach to and from the airport. On arrival at the Villa there were only 8 sun-beds, within an hour of calling Abi Travel they arrived and arranged two more.

The taxi driver Yusuf who Olive Tree Travel recommended was superb. Within ten minutes of contacting him we would collect us. Getting around Kalkan is easy as the taxi's are a fixed price, currently 20 Turkish lire (£2.80). We did walk into Kalkan from Villa Defne, generally in the evening when it was cooler. It took about 20 minutes on non-paved roads.

We walked down the hill to the Kalkan Beach Club where you can use their sun-beds and swim in the beautiful warm sea. There is no charge to enter the club, they just want you to have a drink and maybe have some food whilst you are there. We enjoyed their beer and chips on several occasions! You can also get the water taxi across to Kalkan harbour from the beach club, the water taxi is free if you use the club.

We will definitely return to Kalkan. We felt safe and very welcome. Kalkan has an abundance of good restaurants, supermarkets and the views you will never tire of!

Villa Defne is without a doubt one of our favourite places to stay in the world. We’ve stayed here 3 times now and it never disappoints us.
The location is a little outside the main centre about a 3min taxi ride or 15 min walk or a water taxi ride. It’s quite and away from main roads and not overlooked by neighbours. The view is amazing and still takes our breathe away every time we see it.
The villa is clean and comfortable and has plenty of space to relax in the lounge or outside areas.
The bedrooms are very spacious and have amazing bathrooms with fantastic views as they have glass walls so you can see out of the room.
A well equipped kitchen and a separate washing machine room, downstairs toilet and large lounge with tv and WiFi help with your enjoyment of Villa Defne. The tv signal is poor and buffers sometimes but we didn’t go to watch tv really.
Lovely pool area with loungers, parasols and sofa/armchairs.
Just a point to make there are a lot of stairs down to the villa and within the villa to the rooms so not ideal for disabled or frail persons.
This is our go to villa in Kalkan and we would definitely recommend and go again.

This villa literally was everything that we had hoped it would be. The location and the views were spectacular and the villa itself didn't disappoint. The layout was super and the pool area overlooking the sea was superb, all the rooms had stunning views of the sea. From arriving in the resort to leaving we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Defne and we will definitely be looking to book it again for next year.

The position of it in Kisla is wonderful & was amazing to wake up to it's fabulous views from all of the bedrooms.

Villa Defne is the most breath taking villa situated on what we class as the best plot not over looked and has the most amazing view, great for larger family's lots of space, very clean and always in great condition & everything in working order, the staff at olive Tree are only a call away never have a problem. Just spent a week at the Villa Defne. Spacious modern villa designed to make most of stunning panaramic views. Would recommend hiring a car to get around or taxi into town due to location. Olive Tree Travel were helpful with prompt responses to enquiries prior to trip and assistance from Olive Tree Reps and maintenance company on arrival. Highly recommend.
