The Causeway Barn is a well planned and equipped holiday home with many thoughtful touches from the owner (easter eggs!). I'd certainly consider bookign again.
Our stay as a family of 4,at the Hemmel was fantastic. Not 1 complaint, everything was catered for and the house was spotless with the quality of interior being really very good. Super location beach is 2 mins in the car and easy to walk to. Seahouses is 5 mins in the car and has everything needed without being too tacky. We would. Not hesitate to recommend this holiday cottage to family and friends we have done just that already. Stay Northumbria were a really good booking company too very professional and knowledgeable. Brilliant all round. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable, well positioned and well equipped studio. The views over the harbour and the Farne Islands are superb. It was great to eat in looking at our view and enjoying excellent fresh and smoked fish from Swallow Fishery nearby.
A stunning barn conversion in a stunning location. Everything was perfect and Caroline was both really pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely re-visit.
Stayed here over bank holiday weekend, was a really lovely short break. The hut was very clean, homely and in a beautiful location, within a short drive of anything you'd need. Lots to do in the local area and couldn't recommend the place more! We have told all our friends and family how great the break was and can't wait to book again!
A birthday present proved to be 'the most memorable' holiday. The weather was kind, the expeditions (Bamburgh, Warkworth, Alnwick, Berwick, Craster , Farnes and Holy Island) not too exhausting for ageing limbs, and the hosts were ideal. Loved the guided tour of Seahouses. We knew the region but parents didn't......no more Barbados for them. Thanks to Pat & Geoff
Perfect place to spend the week. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Location is stunning and peaceful. Would highly recommend. Very much hoping to return.
Everything you could wish for and more. This cottage is fantastic. On arrival we found a welcoming pack of tea, coffee, sugar, a lovely cake in the fridge. Every detail attended too for a comfortable vacation.
Had a lovely week at Willow cottage cosy and comfy a real home from home . Had every thing you could think of to make your stay a perfect holiday . Really great place for exploring the surrounding area x
We had a winderful stay at Aidenfield. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, even providing a Welcome Pack on arrival - which included doggie treats! The location was perfect as there is plenty to do in the surrounding area and good access via the nearby A1. The apartment was clean, quiet and comfortable - just perfect for a relaxing week away.
From start to finish our short break was excellent - the welcome, the cottage and the weather! Our 5 year old grandson availed himself of all the garden had to offer - climbing dome, swings, bike, games and alfresco dining. Excellent service, extremely comfortable and equipped to a high standard. We will certainly be back.
We stayed here recently and had a great time. The Mill is fully equipped with comfortable beds and lots of room to move around without feeling on top of each other (there were 13 of us plus 2 dogs!). It is in a great place for exploring this part of Northumberland. The booking was handled efficiently throughout and there was sufficient communication from start to finish. I would definitely recommend Spindlestone Mill and booking through Stay Northumbria!
The accommodation was excellent and the location was so relaxing. Easy access to the best tourist spots in the area also. Will hope to stay here again
We have stayed in a variety of holiday cottages in the UK and abroad over the last 30 years. Croft Cottage is undoubtedly one of the best we have stayed in. It is fitted out to a very high standard and is located in a beautiful and quiet part of Northumberland. The standard of cleanliness is second to none. There was a welcome pack waiting for us with homemade cake. The owner, Julie, made every effort to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay to the full. We can thoroughly recommend this property.
Beautiful modern cottage set in farmland. Every imaginable convenience even down to a freshly baked cake ! We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Particularly loved seeing the swallows gathering ready to leave.
A lovely property finished to a great standard and in a lovely location. The combination of the different flats in the mill are ideal for a large family gathering such as the one we had and everyone was accommodated in real style. The top floor loft flat is absolutely lovely. A great space for everyone to gather with plenty of plates, cups, cutlery etc to cater for everyone. Very well placed for accessing lovely walks on the beach at Bamburgh, trips to the Farnes from Seahouses and generally relaxing. Incredibly peaceful with a Red Squrrel making appearances most days !
We found the property to be very well appointed with all the items needed for a great stay, the attention to detail in how the property is furnished and decorated is undertaken to a very high standard. It is situated in a great location, 10 minutes walk to either the beach or into the very pretty village. The owners were friendly and helpful, particularly with regards to places to visit and eat. All in all a great place to stay to which we hope to return soon.
Could not ask for anything better, from the location to the welcoming pack of goodies on arrival. The view from the garden at the back of the cottage is excellent . we spent a lot of our time in the evening's just sitting and looking out over the sea . Plus long walks on the beach. We have been going up to Northumberland for our yearly holiday for a few years and I must say this is one of the best cottages we have stayed at. Thank you. J & A Brailsford (Rotherham. South Yorkshire) .
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed being so close to an excellent beach. We found the house to be very well equipped and bright and airy.
Lovely place, beautiful setting. Bamburgh Castle in walking distance, so were all the restaurants in Seahouses. Short drive to Alnwick and Holy Island
Our 2nd time to this cottage... another lovely stay, want for nothing, dogs even provided for with bowls and beds. Same the weather wasn't great all week as garden is lovely to sit in and some great walks close by! Will return for sure.
The apartment was spacious, modern and of good quality. I don't think I can fault it's presentation and what it offers guests. Short drive to Bamburgh.
We stayed at the Cartshed in May and we were blessed with the hottest week so far this week. The Cottage was lovely and with having a two year old, having everything on one level really helped. There was everything we needed and also we got to watch lambs jumping and playing in the field over the wall and the cheeky chickens coming to say hello. It's an easy walk into Seahouses, as at the end of road there is the old railway track to walk down and brings you out into the car park in the centre. One thing you must do, is visit the Ice Cream Shop in Bamburgh, it is worth every penny! If...more
Had a lovely week in this cottage. Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay and with the added extras of a bottle of wine and biscuits to greet us. Really spacious for us as a family of 4 and handy for the A1 so we were able to easily get to Edinburgh, Alnwick Castle and other local attractions. Really can't fault this property.
This is the second time we've stayed at this property and all I can say is that its top notch. I'd definitely recommend the property to others, as the owners have spent a great deal of money and lots of care and attention to ensure all their guests enjoy their stay and that's just what we did enjoy our family holiday. I'd definitely chose the accommodation again if we return to Seahouses, and considering we've been visiting this beautiful seaside resort for more than twenty years this is an excellent recommendation. If you do book the property, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Great stay in a very good location. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures - loads of space - and very nicely furnished. Beadnell is a great location with beaches, pubs, shop and cafe all on the doorstep.
This accommodation is a very large modern property in a very quiet location away from any local amenities .Everything you could need is provided including a welcome gift of milk, bread, and biscuits. It is the type of accommodation we could live in.The only problem we had was that it has underfloor heating that was permanently on in a couple of rooms and could not be altered which made it rather unbearable at night.
This is a beautiful apartment in a perfect location. Everything about the apartment is done to a high standard and beautifully tastefully done to fit the seaside location. The use of the Ocean Club adding to the stay allowing for a little pampering giving a good mix to a seaside get away.
We are planning to go back to Dunes Court in the new year. Our stay was so relaxing in a warm and very comfortable flat. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs and the appliances were excellent.
Apartment very Scandinavian looking.A little expensive for one couple for short stay.No hot water due to immersion heater not turned on before our arrival.Front windows were in desperate need of cleaning spoiling view out to sea.Venetian blinds very dusty in kitchen. It may be advisable to check apartment before guests arrival. The apartment gave the impression of not having any occupants for some time. All things considered we still enjoyed our break.
Very spacious accommodation with large bedrooms and modern bathrooms, power showers. Kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, plenty of pans, baking equipment, even scales and an electric mixer. Easy to cook for a large group. Underfloor heating throughout makes it very warm, lovely to come back to after a long walk. Very clean and well maintained. Views across fields out to the Farne Islands. The only negative comment would be that the beds are very hard, could do with foam toppers, but don't let that put you off, everything else was perfect.
Aloha Cottage is a very conveniently located property within easy walking distance of the centre of Seahouses. The cottage is situated on a very quiet estate & parking is easy. The kitchen is small but very functional & well equipped, my only complaint would be that there is a shortage of cutlery. There is a very pleasant, private small garden. There are plenty of walking opportunities direct from the cottage, so no need to use the car every day
Cottage was clean, warm and comfortable, what more could you wish for. Location was fine for us as we did not mind the 10 min walk to town.
Millkeeper's Cottage provided us with excellent accommodation in an area of outstanding beauty. Its close proximity to varied castles, and interesting towns and villages. We managed to complete two Easter egg hunts - Low Newton-by-the-Sea and Cragside. Cragside is a remarkable house with a beautiful estate drive with plenty to engage all ages. We loved the walks to Budle Bay from the property and to Bamburgh. Also visited Holy Island and Berwick-on-Tweed. A wide range of inns and restaurants to visit. The property also has red squirrels in close proximity and they were not photo sh...more
We really enjoyed our stay here. There were only four of us - we all like a bedroom to ourselves, and there should have been five - so we had a huge amount of space. Vale View was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice (alcoholic) welcome pack and plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses - many, many glasses. Glanton itself is just a small village, quiet but with no real outstanding features - some very nice houses though. The garage in nearby Powburn had more than enough for emergency supplies when we arrived late afternoon on a Sunday. It was a convenient place to get to other attrac...more
Hideaway cottage, like the whole of the area, never lets us down. Wonderfully cosy. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant facilities. We have visited many times and will continue to do so. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday!
A very comfortable stay at No 4 Cliff House Cottage . Ideal for a couple with dog and just a few yards from the coastal path heading south. Some very nice touches on arrival , with dog treats , dog bowls and dog towels, kitchen and bathroom cleaning cloths and scrubbers and tea coffee and sugar, very much appreciated. Clean , well furnished and no negatives to report. Delightful location and a 2 minute walk away from the centre of seahouses.
We were really impressed with the attention to detail and cleanliness of Henderson House. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we were so busy we never even turned the TV on once. Amble is a really good place to explore with easy access to Northumbria. We hope to return next year.
My wife and I received a warm welcome from the owners. We were shown around the property and everything about it was better than we had imagined it would be. We had a welcome pack, which included cake. There was plenty of information about the local area and many places were easily accessible. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. A lovely place for 2 people to stay. Judith and Alan from South Derbyshire.
The apartment was beautiful and a very comfortable size for the 5 of us (4 adults and 1 child). It had all the mod cons (except wifi, which was a welcome break) and a lot of space so we made it feel like home for a week. It is located right in the 'hub' of Beadnell, close to two great pubs and a lively cafe and also a short walk to the coast with many options for exploring without have to venture too far afield. Could not recommend a visit any more and would definitely go back for a third year running.
Beautiful house, ideally located. Very clean when we arrived. Welcome pack with Easter mini eggs which the kids loved. Pleasant garden & great summer house. The only downside is the beds which are extremely hard & uncomfortable! Even the kids found it difficult to get a good night's sleep. New mattresses are definitely required please. We would love to return but the lack of sleep during our week's holiday would probably put us off which is a real shame. Otherwise it was a lovely week.
We found the cottage Excellent. Very clean and there was even a lovely welcome pack, and a lovely fire to keep us warm WE would recommend the post office to any one. What a great few days we had.
Thanks for the fantastic visit to no6 cliff house. Perfect location(so close to harbour) very clean with everything a couple and their dog needs for a comfortable stay. Hope to come again.
We selected Hastings House to host a family get-together to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday and were so glad we did. There were 10 of us, aged between 9 and 80 (plus our much loved West Highland Terrier), and the house was the perfect venue. The house is extremely well equipped (think catering sizes of everything in the kitchen) and nice touches such as champagne flutes for your celebration drinks, Playstation, board games, great coffee machine, toiletries in the bathrooms, they've thought of everything. Although small, the 3 ensuite bathrooms were welcomed by some family members while having...more
We booked the Villas to celebrate my in-laws golden wedding anniversary. A great family celebration was had by all with the added bonus of stunnings views from a beautiful house. Lovely meals were had around the big dining room table. The two reception rooms were useful but the reception room at the back of the house was the cosiest especially when the wood burning stove was on. Highly recommended and we all agreed we'd love to return again.
We have stayed here lots of times over the last few years, mainly early and late in the season. The cottage has always been comfortable and warm. It is really handy for a short walk to the beach and only a mile or so from the shops at Seahouses.
We stayed in the apartment with our two children aged 6 and 9 . There was plenty of space and everything we needed, we really could not fault it. The apartment is finished to a really high standard and you can see the sea from most of the windows. You can also park right outside which is always helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
Modern property well furnished and equipped. Secure back garden good for dogs and great to be so near beach.
Upper half Mill Spindlestone was a lovely place to stay. There were ten of us celebrating a 30th birthday and there was lots of room and convenience. The place was exceptionally clean and comfortable and everything you could possibly need was supplied. The setting was beautiful and we appreciated the views, thebirdsong, the red squirrels, the peace. We would definitely consider using it again and would recommend it to others. We have used a few places elsewhere at different times but this was definitely our best experience.
This pleasant cottage met all our needs- two small children: 22 months, 3 and a half, their parents and grandma, and for 2 nights, the other grand parents. It was thoughtfully equipped for a family with excellent washing and drying facilities for the never-ending washing and good cooking facilities for family meals. The location was convenient for the coast- beautiful beaches and good surf for the member of our party that appreciated it. We could also go inland for dramatic moorland, rock climbing and stunning views across to the Cheviots. We appreciated being in the pretty village of Ellin...more
Warm, clean and comfortable cottage. Parking space a bonus. Alnmouth lovely and incepredibly dog friendly.
We are regulars to Northumberland but are still discovering new things to see - this year it was Old Bewick. The Old Vicarage is an excellent base for a large crowd. Plenty of room for all. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of parking space and lovely quiet surrounds. One issue - the windows are now all secured: this has the benefit of keeping in the heat and preventing break-ins, but it also means there is no fresh air in the bedrooms. Most of the year this won't matter but when temperatures are high it could be stifling. For us fresh air at night is a mus...more
Convenient to main shopping street and not far to beach to the South - took dogs there several times Book restaurants early as popular! Warm and well enclosed back garden - good for dogs TV needs remote changing or new TV as have to hold on button for 6 to 10 seconds to get it to work (main TV) Maybe a radio in kitchen rather than just TVs in each room? Beds OK - main bed was a bit hard for our liking Great location and great cottage if lacking in character - you know what you are going to get with no quirks
Coble Cottage is lovely. This is our 3rd family stay there. Plenty of room and very well equipped. The grandchildren love it. We noticed one or two minor things this year e.g.loose window handle, washbasin plug not functional etc Stay Northumbria were very helpful, as ever. Pity that prices (everywhere) are hiked so much for school holidays!
Delightful cottage in a lovely village which has tea rooms, restaurants and bars. The cottage is fully equipped Ithe everything you could need. Hope to return next year.
The cottage was easy to access with good parking facilities. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the other common rooms and especially on two occasions when we viewed a complete rainbow across the town and harbour. The beds were comfortable and the views from the two bedrooms overlooking the bay were wonderful. Our greatest pleasure was sitting in the lower garden area which we shared with many sparrows while drinking our coffee in the morning and a drink in the early evening. Many thanks for contributing to a wondeful holiday.
The property was generally more spacious than expected from the description, especially the living room although the single ground floor bedroom was quite small. Very well equipped throughout, with DVD's and games too. Beds and chairs comfortable. Lovely garden area. Some nice personal touches around the house and the home made jam was a real hit. The village is lovely with several pubs, a shop, children's play area and easy access to the beach from the golf course. A good quiet location for visiting the area, could easily have stayed longer....
20 of us came together to celebrate a couple of birthdays using the ground floor & 2 flats above. It gave us plenty of space to come together to eat & relax downstairs, but space for families to relax & have 'downtime' when necessary. Comfortable, clean, great bathrooms and lots of nice touches. Beautiful area - fun days out in Bamburgh & Holy Island. Nice walks locally. Tesco delivers
The Haven is set in a fantastic location with lovely beaches on the doorstep. Well equipped, clean cottage with welcoming K9 dog pack too! We would definitely stay here again.
As I said above we enjoyed our stay and will possibly stay in the area next year as long as am alive and well
Clean and tidy modern house with ample space fir 2 families. Great location 5 mins walk to the beach. 3 bathrooms upstairs so great fir privacy n getting ready to go out. We have stayed here 3 years before I do feel the property is looking a little tired in area but it didn't spoil our stay here. In future tv in bedrooms would be great.
A really great week, even though we had a lot of rain. We loved the house, it was perfect for three of us. It sleeps four, but it would have been a real squeeze around the table with four people. We appreciated the K9 welcome pack, and had the weather been better we would have really enjoyed the patio. The mattress on the double bed was lovely, but the bunk bed mattresses were a bit tired. Great location, very convenient for walks, shops, harbour etc. We all agreed that we would like to come back!
Good week spent walking on the Northumbria coast. Very good cottage with a welcome pack of tea and coffee waiting on our arrival. Only drawback is the low ceiling in the bedroom.
We spent a wonderful week at Harvest Home. The property is ideally located for exploring the whole area and in a beautiful, peaceful spot. It is comfy and cozy and the owners have added all the little touches to make a home away from home. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. We hope to return, thank you so much.
Our fourth year staying at Burn Bank, with hopefully many more years to come! We feel so at home here, as does Tag our Jack Russel!
Fantastic cottage which is beautifully presented and furnished and we couldn't have asked for more for our needs (1 toddler plus 2 dogs). Great location in the historic part of the village next to one of the pubs and local café and only minutes from a fabulous beach. Happy to recommend this property and will be back ourselves.
This is an excellent place to stay both in terms of locality and access to popular tourist places. Seacow is comfortable and spacious and it's position next to the Sand Dunes and Beach is perfect.
Well appointed house with everything that we required for a short break. Provided a good base to get to beaches and other places of interest along the Northumberland coast.
Very wellt planned accommodation. Everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday was provided. We like to cook our own meals - although who can resist fish and chips from Pinnacles? We will be back!
Excellent location. Couldn't get better sea views. Property itself could maybe benefit with updating carpets and furniture. Very enjoyable though. Seahouses/bamburgh/Beadnell all places we will revisit.
We have previously stayed at "Pebbles" in September 2012 and June 2013. We had a lovely time and the bungalow was great. It was newly decorated, clean and fully equipped. The situation was peaceful and quiet and no near neighbours so ideal for a real rest and break from it all. This was the reason we booked the same place again. This time, we were very disappointed upon approach as, we saw that houses had been built right in front of it. It spoilt the view from the living room and kitchen and we felt very exposed as there had been no effort made to put up blinds/nets at the living room or fron...more
I admit to being quite surprised at the quality and fittings within this property. While I expected it to be good - it really is a top notch place. I wouldn't describe the decor as cutting edge but it is totally appropriate for the style of house and area - it is modern, immaculately appointed, extremely thoughtfully put together and every requirement is met. It is a large house but feel every cosy and it is clear that the owners have approached the house with thought and care. The location is excellent - I originally came from this part of the world and it still thrills me as you take ...more
Looks amazing beds and towels very clean kitchen great plenty equipment. house is a little worn stains on bedroom walls ceiling but didn't spoil our stay Arga great the house was so warm for march Downside hot tub only warm 1 day and no wifi we brought games that required wifi would definitely book again
The Wheel Room at Spindlestone was perfect for our week away, we were a group of seven and there was plenty of space. Overall the property was clean but felt that the bathroom mats in a couple of rooms (unusable) and shower door seals needed a little bit more cleaning. Spindlestone is in an excellent position to visit the Northumberland Coast as well as traveling as far as the Kielder Forest and surrounding area. This was our first visit to Northumberland and hope to return soon, we will certainly consider staying at Spindlestone again. Highly recommended.
Will be going back again when possible, some of the equipment ie, toaster, extractor fan needs up dating, but otherwise a great holiday cottage in a great location.
Enjoyed the whole experience. Cottage so cosy and easy to relax in. Trips out of doors really good, beach walks, river walks, the pier at Berwick. Our dog, Jasper loved it too.
Our only 'complaint' (not really a complaint!), comment I suppose, is that there was a lovely washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and video player, but no instructions on how to use any of them. It would have been nice to take home clean laundry, and not to have to hand wash-up every day! The microwave would also have been very useful if we'd known how to operate it! We were obviously wary to use any of these appliances as to damage them due to misuse would have been our responsibility.
A nice cosy cottage in a good location for trips around the Northumberland either by car or on foot. Could perhaps do with a bit of a spring clean, although generally clean and tidy with good facilities (although washing machine wasn't working whilst we were there). Excellent views of fields, golf course and sea, there's always something to watch and the chairs by the windows were well used. Lighting was also a little dark if you wanted to read or anything in the sitting area on an evening, although fine for watching tv etc. Great location for walks along the coast to High/Low Newton and Cra...more
Whilst right in the centre of Bamburgh, the Hollies was hidden away, cosy and comfortable. The front garden is so pretty and a delightful trap. The Cottage has everything you could possibly want and more.
Our family of 5 had a great week at St Coombs. The location and situation is fantastic for a family with 3 young children with the farm next door. The house is located on the island which allows you to enjoy it when the tide is up and the tourists visiting have left. The property is to a high standard and is comfortable.
A great place for a family holiday. Lots of space, both in and out of the property! Made full use of the fields and the artificial grass area. Great location for the A1, Bamburgh and Seahouses. All rooms a good size and with all have en-suite is an added bonus!! The only issue during the week was the internet access, which was very poor!
We had a lovely stay at the Old School House. It has a great location - the beach and all local amenities were accessed so easily. The house was just what we expected and although 5 can't sit around the kitchen table, there was enough room around the lounge dining table. The children loved their room with the views and teddy bears on the beds. Great to have the benefit of two bathrooms with a family. Easy off road parking and outside sitting area. Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and will be back!
