We loved it at Teal Lodge, it was just what the doctor ordered . Perfect upside down house based in a marina , that met all our needs . I have two boys aged 8&9 who love fishing on the deck everyday . Plenty of shops and places to eat and visit in the surrounding area if you want to . Boat hiring is right on your doorstep ... thank you we had a great time and would love to return sometime soon x
A lovely cottage with plenty of room inside and out. The foot path to the cottage was flooded when we were there so just remember your wellies
Great week unfortunately we had a power cut and as the property is all electric including the toilet flush we cut our holiday by a day and a half. Apart from that all good.
have been to swallowdale before and really enjoyed it, we felt safe with all the extra covid cleaning that is being done, we had every thing we needed as I did quite a lot of cooking this time. love the new sofa and chair also alexa was a extra bonus as we love lots of music. will recommend it to our friends.
We had wonderful week in this beautiful house. Perfect location especially for anyone wanting to add fishing to their holiday. Plenty of space, spacious bedrooms, nice comfy beds. Kitchen has recently be refurbished to a high standard and is extremely well equipped. Horning village is a gentle 15 min stroll away and I would highly recommend a visit to the Swan Inn where we had a delicious meal. There are two further pubs so plenty of choice. Ideally situated for visiting surrounding areas.
On arrival we found the cottage was in excellent condition and the cleanliness was first class and I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a great vacation.
As usual we had a fabulous week in Daisy Lodge. This little cottage is spotless and in a great position. We love it and have stayed for the past few years, we've already booked for next year. Riverside Rentals are always helpful and have gone far and beyond good customer service on occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to book another property with Riverside Rentals if Daisy Lodge became unavailable. The level of cleanliness is extremely high, the beds are comfy, the Internet very good and the whole experience of staying there is extremely pleasant.
We loved our stay at Watersedge Cottage and we had fabulous weather to make it perfect. The cottage is really lovely and in a perfect setting. Plenty of outside furniture and places to relax and watch the world go by. Only a short walk into Wroxham as well. Definitely worth booking.
We were lucky enough to stay at High Meadow just before the second lockdown and It was simply perfect. The house itself is really lovely and very spacious and we felt ‘at home’ the minute we walked through the door. Every comfort is provided for including quality sofas and a lovely mattress. The owners have spared no expense and the house is a credit to them. Cleanliness was excellent and the kitchen very well fitted with everyday utensils in abundance. Bathrooms are all very nicely fitted. The view from the sun room is simply stunning overlooking the river and quickly became our favourite are...more
This is the fourth time we have stayed at this property. The facilities are good with everything we need. We mainly stay at the property to fish. The fishing is great with a wide selection of fish. Occasionally some of the boats get a bit close and there is a chance that you could lose your rig. The key things to improve are: • the bed in the main bedroom (the one with the en-suite) needs a new bed and a new duvet. We ended up moving from the main bedroom to the back double as the bed was much more comfortable. If you change the bed it would be great to get a slightly bigger bed...more
Brilliant place to stay - large, well equiped property with games room & mooring for a day boat. Stunning views over water - Perfect
Everything about this property is just as expected from this lovely house, like a home from home, clean comfortable, 10 minutes walk to Wroxham, parking for 2 cars and of course fishing from your private mooring area.
Stunning property in a fab setting with spacious well equipped interior. Take wellies, the path to the property at high tide was ankle deep every day and the bridge rickety and regularly under water. For fishermen, beware the vociferous neighbour who apparently owns the dyke, lagoona and fishing rights therein and will not hesitate to inform you of this! Fishing from the decking onto the river was excellent, would definitely revisit.
Beautiful cottage, cosy and spotless with everything you could ever need. Will definitely be back. Great Pike fishing!
We had a lovely stay in this comfortable house which is in a great location for exploring the broads and coast. Would love to return.
Great fishing location But a word of advice not to wonder to far in to the boat yard with a fishing rod as we was rudely slung out by the boat yard owner, when there was clearly locals fishing two foot from us But nice stay comfortable , cosy
We found the property to be warm, clean, and comfortable. The facilities are as good as described The walk from parking space is an unpaved road, with puddles and the wooden bridges and can be slippery when wet, strongly recommend wellies or stout foot wear. The step up to the decking around the property is a decent step up. We wold recommend a torch for moving about outside at night, it's dark away from security lights, and the road to the property has no street lights. We'll be back in the future.
We, that is grandparents, parents and two teenagers had a lovely half term break at The Willows. It is a generally well equipped house right on the river and it provided an excellent base for walking, fishing and boating. Food delivery from supermarket worked well and the institution that is Roy’s of Wroxham is a pleasant walk away. The only things that the owners might think about are little details like hooks in bathrooms and hanging rails in top floor bedrooms. Such a treat to be able to enjoy a family break in 2020! The pool table was much appreciated!
Beautiful upside down house with everything you need for a wonderful stay. In a Fantastic village location. Would definitely recommend both this house and Riverside Rentals.
The accommodation was first class clean and comfortable with a very well fitted out kitchen the outside fridge for fishing bait was also very useful. Lovely comfy settees and beds a great shower Agreat place to stay
I had a lovely stay at Moon River and would 100% recommend it. Lovely views from front and back of property and a great riverside walk. Potter H is a lovely location, right in the middle of all you will ever need. thank you Claire and team. Regards Paul
The house is absolutely splendid with views across the river. There is lots to see from the big windows, different types of boat passing by and plenty of ducks! At this time of year it is also good that there is a very effective heating system. Riverside were very helpful and the experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
Dutch Cottage was well located near Horning marina. The cottage was warm, clean and welcoming. Heating was efficient and radiators fully controllable. We used the wood burner most evenings but in truth we could have done without it. It was very efficient and heated the whole cottage. My only slight negative comment is that the toilet/shower room was a little chilly and could have done with a radiator. Apart from this the cottage was superb, well-equipped and pleasant to stay in.
Our second visit to Rebel and I'm sure we will stay there again... There is something for everyone all nearby..
Lovely place .very quiet if its wild life your after there is a heron that takes fish out of your hand a otter that visits every day .kingfishers and other wild life.internet was good .beds were so comfy very soft .slept like a baby.great veiws fishing was hard only mange couple pike out the back but I think this was more to with the constant changing weather conditions made it a hard week .all in all very happy .
Nice house in a good location with good facilities. Clean and modern. Lovely bedding and mattresses gave a good nights sleep for all. We hired the boat Mr Pip for the week and and made full use of him, including visiting Ranworth Broad on one day and How Hill on another. Special praise for Richard and his Riverside Rentals staff who just can't do enough for people.
Accommodation was warm and comfortable, although some areas could do with a little tlc. It was clean and the beds and linen provided were excellent. It has everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location was perfect and some good fish were caught right off the decking. It was also great to be able to walk to the whole as they were all within easy reach. Had an excellent stay and can't wait to return.
On the whole, Ferrymans Cottage is fabulous. It's bigger and better than it looks on the website. The kitchen is extremely well- equipped, the lounge looks out straight onto the river with double doors leading to a long verandah where you could sit for hours watching the world go by. (If it wasn't raining which it was most of our visit, unfortunately!). Bedrooms are a decent size with plenty of storage. For the cost of the property, the main bedroom would benefit from a bigger bed (there's plenty of room) and a new mattress. Also with 6 people in (we were only 3), just one loo in the whole p...more
We have stayed in many rental properties and The Annex is the best. Lots of space, very well equipped and owners friendly and helpful but not pushy. The only slight down is poor internet connection but we expected that in rural Norfolk! The location is really quite and the properties gardens extensive and beautiful.
We have stayed in Bureville nearly every October half-term week for the last 10 years and have booked for next year. It is on the outskirts of Horning and a short drive to Wroxham where you can get everything you need. It is a beautiful large family cottage in a great, quiet location directly on the River Bure with a dyke behind. It was spotlessly clean. The accommodation is split into 3 separate buildings so ideal for larger groups. It’s a great family home with every comfort you need. It’s so relaxing just to watch the boats go by. Fishing was great. Lots caught at the back and front of the...more
The location of Flag House was fabulous! We took our boat and enjoyed travelling up and down the Broads from the property's mooring. We also enjoyed the hospitality of the local food pubs (reached by boat) in between some fabulous walks in the area. Our only criticism is that the property was tired. Maybe it was because it was at the end of a busy season, but the beauty and splendour of the property on the outside was not reflected on the inside unfortunately. However, it did not spoil our break, it was still a wonderful stay.
I have been to Norfolk many of time over the last few year and I think this was the best location I stayed. Very clean lovely garden .
had a good week at Cresta Cottage. Location brilliant could spend all day sitting outside weather permitting watching the coming and going of boats. Cottage a bit dated as others have previously said but not a problem it is well equipped. Would return for another week anytime so that speaks volumes.
This cottage has one of the best views of the Broads, especially from the upstairs lounge. Will be back.
Corner position giving access to the main river and dyke. Lovely garden with plenty of areas to sit and entertain. Well equipped kitchen. Lounge area with river views, very comfortable. Double bedroom and bathroom acceptable but on the small side. Walking distance to pubs and shops. We stayed two weeks and loved it.
Westbury is in a near perfect location in Horning. Spacious allowing people to find there own tranquillity. Only thing its getting a bit tired but every visit something has been addressed. Will book again definitely.
I stayed in poppy at the end of a 10 day cycling holiday, Made contact with the owners the day before who let me know where to locate the key. On arrival I found the interior to be in a good clean condition, with some welcome supplies in the fridge (beer, butter, tea and coffee and biscits). I spendt 3 days there along with a few caravans in at the site. I found the toilet and Shower facility's to be fine, Hot shower water costs £1 Pound but the water lasts for a good 15 Min, so more than one needs. The last day was spent in a full on storm, the hut survived with no issues, nice and war...more
Went in the depths of winter and had a lovely time. Property was warm and comfortable. Henry the heron visited every morning. Ducks on the decking. Luckily, we had dry weather and could get out and about. Super.
a lovely bungalow set on the river comfy and spacious with excellent facilities would stay again, highly recommended.
My son and I had a very relaxing yet exciting holiday. We managed to catch two Monster Pike (returned safely) of 27.5lbs and 31lbs respectively. A peaceful spot with big skies and plentiful wildlife to spot, thoroughly enjoyable.
Located in a lovely area, cottage was beautiful very comfortable, great for the broads and attractions
Overall we had a good time! Kingfisher is a lovely cottage in a great location but has now started to get a bit tired. The two settees have both seen better days, the springs have dropped and need replacing as they are no longer 'fit for purpose'. Others have commented on this. Having been assured of extra cleanliness because of the covid19 pandemic we were disappointed to find cobwebs still on some of the walls, dirty apron and oven gloves, and dirty trays still in the oven. It had previously been suggested that a grab handle by the front door would help entry up the front steps - it would...more
Great location, comfortable, spacious, clean, every important facility and great location for exploring locally or further afield. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break. We had 2 weeks here and still didn’t want to leave.
Comfortable house, great location for relaxing short winter break away from crowds. Fantastic outlook
It's advertised as two bedroomed property but only one was made up and no one asked us if this was acceptable. On looking at the second bedroom it seemed some sort of water leak had happened in that bedroom. However if you advertise a property as two bedroomed I do expect both bedrooms to be made up or at least have some discussion over it before arrival. It was a delightfully quirky property to stay in and relatively comfortable. And very warm with its electric heating which was a surprise. It would be even nicer if the wood burning stove was operational. But it's needs a little TLC as in t...more
Fridge needs defrosting the place could do with a good clean and a bit of updating and proof of being able to park there wood be a help
The walk from the car park(Pedros) is challenging and takes a good 15-20 minutes to reach the cottage I am not sure how people take their luggage as well as the foot path is very uneven and is unlit. If you do take your own boat like we did you can only launch it from Ludham which takes approx 1 1/2 hours to reach the cottage. There is no storage in the bedroom so be prepared to live out of your suitcase, the decking is in need of repair and the bathroom is quite cold even with the heating on. When using the shower you have to use a plunger to help the water go down but this caused black d...more
The cottage is very spacious and in a excellent position on the river.. Plenty of fishing space from the garden and a good flood light outside. Cottage was clean although previous occupants rubbish had been left in one of the vases but all round the cottage is excellent. Pubs and shops are all close by.
Beautiful location, clean house until discovered a maze of cobwebs in the upstairs living area between the oak unit and fireplace, clearly not been vacuumed for a while. By day 3 we tried to get any form of downstairs heating to work, only radiators are in the downstairs bedrooms. We called Riverside Tuesday morning by then the downstairs was very cold. Not able to take advantage of the lovely dining and seating area, the underfloor heating was not working, they contacted the owner who called round. She also couldn't make it work either. By Wednesday someone came to look at it, would need a...more
Super location and views over the Marsh and River. But access with car difficult to house and turning around a challenge. Parking also would be a problem for 2 cars if large. Fixtures and furnishing past their best, for example boiler cut out twice during stay. We did have a good holiday there but I think a bit pricey given it’s all a bit tired.
Outside space was ok, Having room for two cars was great, Having a shed with a bait fridge was a bonus, Inside kitchen has all you need with white goods, But have no real space in cupboards to put your food, We used the work top and table, lounge has comfortable settee very bright lights nice size TV, This place gets very warm with the double glazing,But it is at your cost as this place has an electric meter that loves £1 coins that you will have to feed it and make sure you have quite a few over a score for the cold months, Bathroom has all you need even a seat for the shower, But the sign on...more
I feel it is a nice property in a good location possibly a little over priced for the furnishings ok.
We loved the location and found the house accommodated the five of us. Unfortunately the living room furniture was extremely uncomfortable and this spoilt our stay somewhat. We would return if the seating improved.
The overall was a lovely stay, but the cleaness was not good! Considering u cant go into to the property till 5pm and u have to leave property by 9am because of covid rules! I really thought it would be clean! There was cobwebs on every picture and celing! And the oven was disgusting and stunk when you put it on! and cutlery draw was rank we had to dishwasher all the cutlery before use!
