Our arrival on the 7th was delayed by atrocious weather and roads being blocked by torrential rain. However, the stay in Laga Lodge was idyllic and up to all expectations. The lodge is cosy and inviting with excellent facilities and comfortable beds. Plenty to explore, again weather permitting. Harder to access due to the Corran ferry being inoperative and the local council need to sort this out as this service must be a real money spinner. Andy and Allison are great hosts and we were there at the same time as the dive teams exploring the loch floor and noting the flora and fauna, and the plans for the Isle of Carna with regard to conservation and renewal are both exciting and thoroughly worthwhile. We will be returning here year on year for a perfect break away from it all.

Our third stay at Laga Lodge and once again had a great time. Comfortable, clean and relaxing. Allison and Andy were helpful as always everyone thoroughly enjoyed the week. Only tiny gripe would be could there be some larger bowls provided for breakfast cereals! Otherwise great!

We loved our stay at Laga Lodge. Really comfortable, great kitchen and amazing location. We found plenty to do in the local area and the highlight of our stay was seeing otters at a wildlife hide a few miles along the coast. Also lucky to see a school of porpoises from the deck of the lodge. There are very steep steps down to the lodge but hosts Andy and Allison were extremely helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Overlooking Loch Sunart, Laga Lodge is in a beautiful position. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well-equipped without being at all cluttered. Allison could not have been more helpful and whilst they leave guests in peace to enjoy their holiday, she and Andy were always ready and willing to offer advice and help when requested. They really are lovely people with a well-rooted, encyclopedic knowledge of the area. One thing to be aware of is that the steps down to the lodge are very steep and uneven, definitely not accessible by anyone with mobility problems. At low tide it is possible, however, to drive the car along the beach to unload / load luggage. The track down is steep and the shore is rocky, but, I think most vehicles should be able to cope with it. If you are at all concerned about whether or not it would be OK for your car I suggest checking it out with Allison and Andy before you book.

A little trouble finding Laga lodge, an open gate hiding the sign.. but it was pretty much where the satnav said it would be., Fantastic place to stay., so peaceful with a gorgeous view.. the lodge itself was excellent, well equipped and comfy and super warm.. as the hosts have said the pathway up and down to the lodge is pretty steep but it’s worth every step.. would thoroughly recommend Laga Lodge..

I booked Laga Lodge for a party of divers along with two boats that we brought with us. It is an ideal location to access Loch Sunart and the Sound of Mull. The lodge was cosy and warm and proved to be a great base for us. Diving air fills were available on a self service basis from a Bauer 320ltr/ min compressor. Andy and Allison were excellent hosts and helpful. Although the weather was against us we still had a great week of diving. I think we will be back!

I've been coming to this lodge for almost 20 years , this was a fantastic stay at Laga lodge, weather held off for the hole week with NO RAIN, Andy & Alison where as accommodating as ever, lodge was immaculately presented. Whilst fishing on the Loch on the south shore we manged to see a number of times a resident Sea eagle, this helps if you have some Mackerel on offer. Booked up for next year 2022.

Excellent venue, relaxing week with good company and excellent hosts in Andy and Allison. Wildlife trip was a success, seals, birds and the weather was kind. Ariundle forest walk was a wonderful walk for dogs and humans alike and saw a heron on the river. Ferry from Kilhoan to Tobermory, coffee in the sun and a meal outside with a pint of beer, almost felt back to normal apart from the face masks and social distancing. The highlight for me was the beach at Sanna, beautiful sandy beach, swimming and surfing in the relatively mild Atlantic, (certainly compared to the North Sea), and every time I stay at the lodge I go to Sanna. Final night was a langoustine and squat crab banquet. Stay at home vacation to savour and Laga Lodge is a great place to stay. The only problem you will encounter are the midges, so insect repellant at the ready

We had a great few days staying at Laga Lodge. The lodge is set in a beautiful and peaceful location with wonderful views and is very convenient for exploring the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and spacious with a well equipped kitchen and good showers with plenty of hot water. Andy and Allison are friendly hosts and we would stay again.

As a dive club, we have been coming to Laga Lodge and Loch Sunart for the past 3 years and 4 trips now. This year due to Covid, it had to be just a holiday for my family. The accommodation suits us perfectly, sleeping 6/7 as that is our boat capacity. The onsite compressor and pontoon are a great advantage. The Lodge is well fitted out for a group with 2 showers and a well equipped kitchen. The heating works and is usually a bit too warm for us, so we turn it down. Seems to be plenty of hot water for showers. Access might be an issue for some folk as the path down from the carpark is steep and often wet. You can drive your car along the rocky shore to drop off items, but not at high tide. We will be back next year, if Covid passes, as the diving is some of the best in Scotland.

Another great trip away with the family, lots of nice fish caught including Mackrel, dogfish, Thornback ray, conger eel, spurdogs & skate to 140lb (estimated), lodge was very clean and tidy and a great extra addition was the Netflix for the TV, fantastic views across the loch from this lodge, boat hire is available as and when required (advise to book during the busy months).

Laga Lodge was a perfect base to discover the beautiful Ardnamurchan peninsula. The lodge had everything we needed and the view over Loch Sunart was amazing. Highlights of our stay were climbing Ben Laga (spotting an eagle and several deer) and watching porpoises in the loch.

We recently stayed at Laga Lodge as a group of scuba divers, so this is written from that perspective. The Lodge has a fantastic position, right on the shore of Loch Sunart, with great diving close by. Boat launching from the rocky shore is possible at all stages of tide. It is well equipped for catering for parties of 7. There is ample fridge/freezer space. 2 separate shower rooms. The beds and linen are good. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Be aware that the steps at the rear are steep and potentially slippy and that the shore side access disappears at high tide. Also, mobile signal and internet are both poor locally. We hope to return next year, if we can fit it in with other club trips. Next time the ball and chain puzzle will not defeat us!

We stayed in Laga Lodge for an all inclusive week of en plein air painting out and about on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The location is great right on the side of the loch. Food was hand dived scallops, Loch Sunart prawns, venison, all delicious. We all got some some great photo's and sketches. Lots of sunshine, beautiful light, amazing place. Will be back! We were warmly welcomed by our hosts Allison and Andy, and were shown to our accommodation overlooking Loch Sunart - the view from the balcony was stunning. Fantastic short break away, wonderful location right on the loch. We enjoyed glorious autumn sunshine and of course Scottish rain. The scenery was wonderful, the autumn colours spectacular. Location is remote but worth it. If you have a car places to eat out aren't too far away. Lodge is perfect for eating in though and a balcony to watch the world go by. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again. Caution quite steep steps up and down but very well lit and hand rails for extra support.

We had a family get together here and it was perfect, warm, comfortable and well equipped with beautiful views from the balcony. A good spot as a base for exploring the peninsula. We'll definitely be back and recommending Laga lodge to friends and family. Thanks Andy & Allison for a great stay!
