Only 50 metres from the beach and with first floor views to the Isle of Wight, Roshanara is a very spacious detached house conveniently situated within just 300 metres of East Wittering village centre. The internal layout offers light, open plan living with four intercommunicating ground floor reception rooms providing extensive entertaining space, four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Very close to the beach.
No smoking.
No pets, sorry.
WiFi.

Well located in the Witterings, good property with room for improvement.

The property was clean and well equipped.

There are, however, areas of the property that are looking a little tied and could be improved upon. For example, the shower cubicle in the main bathroom requires attention (the door does not slide easily and the shower head does not appear to have been descaled for sometime) and a number of the window blinds are water stained and/or moth eaten.

The location of the property was ideal for exploring the area, Portsmouth, Brighton, Arundel Castle being just a few places within easy reach.

Great location
House damp - sofas had to be covered in sheets
Floors had not been cleaned for some time
Bedding poor (mattresses not good). No chair in bedrooms
No cushions for garden furniture - had to buy our own. Garden unkept
Property could do with an additional walk in shower - 1 not enough
Kitchen facilities good but could do with serving dishes.
Front garden had rubbish on lawn which I cleared up and also a dead hedgehog which had been there for some time. I also disposed of this.
Blinds on all windows need replacing
Overall property needs some tlc but great location and property has huge potential. My family had a wonderful holiday. I would not recommend the property at the moment in its current state but as I say it has huge potential to be a wonderful holiday home. I cheered it up with cleaning, flowers and scented candles. The house was not clean quite dusty the beds are very uncomfortable the taps were not fixed properly to en suite bathroom a plug socket was loose in bedroom lights not working in garden so very dark in evening the house very basic not worth £1700 at all for a week very overpriced there was a musty smell in bedrooms have rented houses from baileys for years now this has got to be worse one

Stayed at this property for one week with two of our children and their spouses plus our two young grandsons. The property was spacious with a nice sized enclosed garden. The location is excellent with the beach a two minute walk away and the local shops a five minute walk away. However, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and comfort of the property. We have been renting holiday homes all over England for many years, so have a good idea on what to class as value for money, unfortunately this property did not fit into this bracket. The seating was uncomfortable, with one of the chairs having torn covers. The dining areas (both inside and outside) were comfortable with plenty of space which was a bonus. The kitchen area was okay, nice sized cooker, but very basic crockery, utensils and pans. I had inquired as to whether there was a high chair in the property, and would expect this to be included in the rental charge when booking accommodation of this size, to be told I could hire one at £14 per week. I declined this offer (we took our own booster seat) to find there was a high chair in the garage.
Three of the bedrooms were a good size, the bunk room was tiny. No enclosed wardrobes, just hanging rails-which was okay for a short stay. The beds were very low to the floor and the mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable. There was an unpleasant smell in one of the bedrooms which we could not shift. The shower head in the main bathroom was, probably, harbouring all kinds of bacteria and all around the runners were filthy and in need of a deep clean. The property had been given a quick once over and appeared tidy, however, as the week went on we uncovered more and more delights-a previous guests clothing in the washing basket, empty crisp packets and juice bottles under the beds, cobwebs in several places, a collection of dust under the sofas and also under the sofa cushions. The wooden floors downstairs were in need of a good clean and although able to sweep the floors we were unable to mop them, there was a dried up mop in the garage but no mop bucket. All said and done with a little upgrade on furnishings and a good clean this is an ideal property to holiday in.

It is a lovely property and ideal for family groups such as yours and it should not have been presented to you in this way. Another time please do contact us immediately if you find things have been overlooked for cleaning, or are simply not up to standard. We want our guests to have a relaxing and good stay in all our properties and it is a shame that we did not meet this standard of service this time round. Sometimes our owners install items at the property in addition to the stated itinerary. We were not aware of a high chair being in the garage. Now we know there is one we will add it to the listed items guests can expect to find. I do hope that despite the negative points you enjoyed your time in East Wittering. Been to Roshanara 4 times now. Perfect for a big family like ours. Huge living/dining room and lots of space everywhere else. Nice big garden too. This time we got there the lawn hadn't been mown but that didn't stop the kids from enjoying themselves. The house is only a few meters away from the beach. Village center, pub, restaurant also all within a few minutes walk. Will come again :-)

We had a fabulous week staying at Roshanara. The location of the house was fabulous. The house itself was perfect for the two families staying. We had lots of space and the house was equipped really well for our stay. We will definitely be back.
