At just 200 metres from the beach and a short stroll to the village centre with the shops and cafes, Samphire's ideal location makes it hugely popular with our guests.

The property is a semi-detached chalet style house, beautifully presented in a very comfortable contemporary style with bright and spacious living area. The open plan dining room/kitchen is ideal for a family and includes a large gas/electric cooking range and an American style fridge. There is gas central heating throughout, and the addition of a lovely open fire adds to your comfort for the chillier months.

The garden is minimalist and as stylish as the interior. It has chairs, tables and sun loungers to really help guests make the most of leisurely days and lazy evenings when it is warm and dry.

Pets allowed.
No smoking.

Lovely stay nice and spacious ,great location. Parking brilliant however not suitable for a wide/large car. The fire is not a modern log burner.Had a problem with the TV could not work out channels as it was set on BBC . could do with having a file with all the info in it .Garden lovely and secure perfect size for our dogs . The onsuit is lovely however found it strange it did not have a door. Over all lovely property

Second time at Samphire. Lovely home. Well equipped and Clean. Massive fridge freezer. New appliances generally including a smart TV. A stone throw from the beach and very close to the wide range of East Wittering shops, cafes and pubs. The weather was an added bonus. I highly recommend Samphire to a small family who might want to host a few friends. We’ll be back.

The house had an unusual layout with no door on the upstairs shower room/lavatory.

The garden had no lawn so was not very good for children to play in.

Location was very good.

Once again not disappointed (also stayed June 2022). Close to beach and village with its varied shops, including independent shops as well as Tesco and Co-op supermarkets. Bus stops close by to go into Chichester and from there go along the south coast, i.e. Littlehampton, Portsmouth etc.; will got a bus from there to go to the Weald and Downland Museum (where they film The Repair Shop).

This property is perfect for a family get away near the sea.
It is so easy to walk to the beach and to the shops it couldn't be more convenient.
Any questions and the staff at Bailey's were very helpful and lovely to deal with.

We’ve stayed at a lost of East Wittering properties over the years but this one is a real gem. It is SO close to the beach but because it is tucked just down on a side road you have quiet and privacy. The house is great - clean, big and comfy. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Location is great - easy stroll from beach and East Wittering shops and restaurants. Access is down a very narrow Lane - good as no passing traffic, but could be tricky to negotiate in a large car. The house itself is well appointed with a great downstairs layout although upstairs may feel small with 6 people (we were 4), as all bedrooms in eaves. Kitchen well equipped, and overall good condition in the property, although a little more care on cleaning between rentals should have been possible (lots of dog hair in the living room). Overall a fine house for our week at the beach - location and pride made up for some minor niggles.

Our first time at Samphire was a great experience. The whole process from booking to departure was smooth and effortless. The location is a minute from the beach and 2 minutes from the hub of East Wittering restaurants and shops.

We had a relaxed break at this lovely airy and uncluttered property.
It is tucked out the way and so was quieter than seafront properties we have stayed in previously, so better for our dogs.
The garden is shingle and paving with some decking, so grass-less but Booker's Green was a short dog walk away.

Had a really pleasant and enjoyable stay a Samphire.
Here you’re only a very short stroll away from the wonderful stretches of beach from Bracklesham to West Wittering and East Head.
All of the local amenities are close at hand too.
The whole house has a fresh feel and is very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and there is also great outside space and storage.
Nothing was too much trouble for Baileys the letting agents who are always available to help out whenever they can.
I would highly recommend Samphire for weekend breaks or longer stays.

Why 'Hidden Gem' - only because it is 'hidden' at the end of a slightly awkward-to-access drive.
The house is a true delight - newly refurbished, it provides comfort and style in abundance.
Its location for both the beach and the facilities of the village is superb.
We would be delighted to stay here again.....and again!

A lovely situated cottage, a very short distance to beach and a short distance to shops, restaurants, etc. A spacious property downstairs with great outdoor spaces. The property was ideal for our needs.

There are a couple of repairs needed in the kitchen area but am sure these are easily and quickly resolved.

Samphire was a lovely house.
Well equipped kichen and great open plan dinning room.
Separate living room with great TV and open fire.
Plenty of parking space for cars.
Nice sunny garden.

We have stayed here every year for around 5 years, the location is fantastic literally a 2 min walk to the beach and 5 mins into the town. It is a great property and has a enclosed garden at the back making it great for families. Highly recommended and we will be back again!

Overall Samphire is a lovely property for a family holiday, plenty of room, well laid out and well stock with all the kitchen essentials. Our only comment is the lack of privacy when using the ensuite shower room and toilet when children are part of your group.

Samphire is a lovely place to stay! The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a home-from-home feel, with lots of seaside touches that make it feel extra special! It is perfectly situated a short walk from the beach and the town, and well-placed to visit local attractions. While the house is not beachfront, we could see glimpses of the sea from the upstairs bedroom and the house is close enough to be able to hear waves! The house has its own generous parking, another great advantage! This is one of the nicest holiday rentals we have ever stayed in, and the beds were sooo comfortable too!

This was our second stay at Samphire , we bring our adult children and our grandchildren ( total of six people ) and the reasons why Samphire is well liked by all of us is it’s proximity to both the beach and the local shopping streets - all walkable . The house itself has been specifically configured for the convenience of holidaymakers - the lounge , living room and dining area next to the large well equipped kitchen , provide sufficient room for the family to follow their own interests separately . The range cooker in the kitchen made cooking for six easy to cope with . The two bathrooms are very useful . Throughout the house is immaculately kept with emphasis on low maintenance laminate and ceramic flooring . We noticed that items had been renewed since last year which gives a good impression of the owner keeping everything up to date . We have already put our dates in for next year - hands off - please book your own .
