Aylsham Windmill, Norfolk NRll 6NB. Unusual accommodation in the ancient market town of Aylsham. Perfectly placed, halfway between the fine city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
Built in 1826 Aylsham Windmill was a working flour mill for almost 100 years. It was unused for more than 80 years, and has now been converted into luxurious self catering accommodation for 6 people. The accommodation is on 4 floors linked by normal domestic stairs. Aylsham is ideally placed in the centre of North Norfolk. Explore the coast, the Broads and the city of Norwich.
Without doubt this is the most unique property we have had the pleasure to visit. Tim and Janet have made an incredible conversion which is an absolute pleasure to stay in. Everything we needed was provided for. The property is well situated to make entertaining our grandchildren (8 &10) easy, within 45 minutes drive (beWILDerwood, Wroxham barns) plus many easy to reach beaches. We really enjoyed our Bure Valley Railway (narrow gauge) ride to Wroxham. This property really does deserve the superb ratings it receives.
This was a holiday to remember. Many thanks Tim and Janet for making it so sp...more
