Thoroughly enjoyed our short break at The Lookout which definitely deserves our five star ratings. Clean, comfortable, totally dog friendly, very well equipped and on top of that a most glorious view! Communication from the owner excellent, great directions easy to follow and information re the accommodation itself. Would definitely stay again.
Malthouse Farm Barn is a wonderful place to have a break. The barn is a home from home. This was our dog's first holiday and the barn was perfect for the four of them. The garden is a good size and really secure. The parking is enclosed which makes it easier to get really excited dogs out of your vehicle as you don't have to worry about them running on to a road. We loved our stay and will be back again as soon as we can.
Hadn’t holidayed with both of our GSD before but this was the perfect place to stay. Accomodation and ameneties were to such a high standard with everything you could possibly need. The addition of a secure field to use throughout the stay was so welcome and lovely walks direct from the door. Would love to stay again soon and would highly recommended, the owners were lovely and communicative before and during the stay when we reached out to them.
We love Bumblebee. It’s a well thought through cottage, comfortable and homely yet with all the mod-cons you could wish for. The standard of finish and cleanliness is to a high standard. It’s located in a lovely area, close to beaches and surrounded by fields. It brings nature to the door and a sense of tranquility. The owners are super helpful, if required, and discreetly in the background. We love it there, been a few times and booked for next year. Bumblebee is well worth a visit.
We enjoyed our week at The Peanut. There are 3 cottages to choose from and a large paddock for the dogs to play in and its also very rural. We didn't hear many fireworks as we put the television on loud. The cottage was well furnished and the owners were very helpful. The two other families that were in the other cottages were going to rebook again straightaway, we didn't rebook as we do like to try a different one each time. I would recommend this place.
1 Paynes Cottage is delightful. It has been sensitively renovated retaining its original features combining with modern living . The welcome hamper was greatly appreciated as were the safe areas where our dog ‘Bertie’ could romp. The cottage had everything we needed during our five night stay although the Broadband/Wifi connection is very slow. The local pub, the Crown inn, was also very welcoming and produced well priced suppers with huge portions!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Thank you
This was one of the most relaxing , well thought out cottages I have ever stayed in. Not only did it have everything provided for us humans the dogs were well catered for too. You really only need bring yourselves and your dogs, everything is here for everyone from beds,bowls,crates,throws,towels for the dogs ,also treats and spare food if needed to a lovely welcome basket for humans, and the most comfortable cosy cottage. We loved our 3 night stay. A very comfortable cottage with everything you could wish for has been thought of and provided. The kitchen is very well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker and a microwave, smart television in the lounge and also the bedroom, fully enclosed garden for our golden retriever, throws are provided for the large couch so that the dog could snuggle up with us. A short walk down to the quay and a 15 minute car drive to the beach We would definately consider booking again
we had the best time staying here, 6 adults and 4 dogs and there was plenty of room for all. The communication with Tracey was great, the facilities were modern and beautiful, and the garden was a great size and perfectly enclosed so we didn’t worry about our dogs escaping. You do have to drive to get places but there’s lots to do within a 10 min drive so we didn’t mind! Would definitely stay again
Our second time here and even better than we remembered. Everything we needed was there. Near to lots of dog friendly beaches Happisburgh, Cart Gap and Sea Palling being our favourites, Winterton is a bit further but definitely worth it. We enjoyed a couple of circular walks from the cottage. Hope to return in the near future
We had a great week, the cottage was very clean and a nice welcome pack to greet us on arrival. This was our second visit to the cottage, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Great cottage and location.
Our second stay at the beautiful Dorny. The Welcome Packs for both humans and doggies were again excellent promoting local produce, which is a must for us. Fabulous location, doggies enjoyed their daily beach walks - we couldn’t do the usual numerous miles due to our senior boy (13) and senior girl (11) but they loved it. Still remains our plan to retire to beautiful Norfolk one day! My only negative is the road leading to the property has deteriorated since our previous stay, Thank you for a great stay.
A fabulous place to stay. The owners have thought of everything to ensure your dog has a wonderful time. Great communication in advance of the stay, including sample itineraries and checking dietary requirements for the welcome pack. The welcome pack was outstanding, so thoughtful. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Attention to detail outstanding. The dog friendly enclosed areas were much appreciated. The patio was a great place to relax after a busy day sight seeing.
This is our second visit to this lovely cottage beautifully presented from the moment you arrive the field for the dogs to run in is ideal. Everything has been thought of it’s definitely luxury to a high standard. The welcome hamper for us & our 5 dogs was a lovely touch even included a birthday cake & card. The owners are onsite & are friendly & helpful. The cottage is ideally situated for the beach, wooded walks. Stalham is a couple of miles away which has a supermarket, fish & chip shop & other takeaways also a vet which we have had to use. This accommodation is 1st class!
What’s not to love. We love Winterton, it just has everything and it has Ruby Gem. Parking, blackout blinds, motion sensor lights just add to what makes this property a real ‘Ruby’. See you next year.
Salty Sea Dog is located about 2 minutes from a lovely Sandy beach. We enjoyed long walks in both directions, towards Walcott and Mundesley. Nice local fish and chip shop, Chinese restaurant and cafes within walking distance. The lodge is very clean, comfortable and is very well equipped. It has sea views from lounge and dining area. The owner supplied very helpful information about the area and lodge prior to arrival. Would definitely recommend
Really great cottage, perfect location especially as we have 6 dogs 2 that bark at other dogs so stress free access to the dunes and beach. Really comfortable cottage with everything you might need . We have been many times and will be booking again.
We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage with our 3 dogs. The parking is secure behind a fence and gate, and the garden is very secure with high 6ft fences (important for us as one of our dogs is an escape artist). There is also a hot /cold shower hose for the pooches in the garden to get rid of mud and sand before entering the house if they need it. It’s a 3 bed (sleeps 5) cottage and while we only used one bedroom (super comfy bed) all the rooms are thoughtfully set out. A fabulous property, very clean, spacious, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and everything you need for the dogs. Wonderful welcoming tray and fresh flowers. Excellent location for local walks and nearby beaches are only 15 minutes in the car. Plenty of supermarkets in the locality plus farm shops. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and would love to go back.
Comprehensive welcome information. Immaculately clean. Massive useful welcome pack. Comfy bed. Soft lovely smelling towels. Gorgeous garden with different seating areas. Garden 100% dog proof & well lit. Lovely walks right from the door. Felt really homely. Supermarket conveniently located. that will deliver. Local pub (The Bluebell) very welcoming with delicious home cooked meals. Shall definitely return!!
We really enjoyed our family break in Bishy Barnabee. Mark and Helen were kind enough to allow our Son plus his family and also our friends to join ourselves, and our daughter and family to join us on the Saturday. The supply of the crate for one of our dogs that had a cruciate ligament op on the Monday before our stay was very much appreciated. The grand children want to come again. You know when that happens it’s been an enjoyable stay
Having stayed in a number of “dog friendly” cottages in the past it was a very welcome change to finally find one that is truly so. The welcome park was superb and our labrador was especially keen on the Nico treats! She had a choice of comfortable dog beds which saves the need for fitting one in the car, there was spare doggie towels & blankets plus toys, leads, bowls, everything you could need. Really beautiful bungalow we had a comfortable stay and everything we needed, hot tub was lovely. However we did not like Scratby at all, very disappointing and not at all our cup of tea, think we have been too spoilt in the past staying at lovely Winterton on sea just up the road, but Scratby is worlds apart and we would definitely not choose to go there again unfortunately. Can’t fault Easton Rushton cottages though, always great to deal with and the best at being dog friendly! We had a lovely stay in this pretty and well equipped dog-friendly property. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We managed to time our arrival with Storm Amy blowing in, and were delighted that she had ensured the accommodation was toasty warm. Being Norfolk, the sun magically managed to put in an appearance each day. The stunning sandy beach was within walking distance, as was Happisburgh’s iconic lighthouse.
We had a fantastic time here, will definitely be back. Beautiful house and they couldn’t have done more. Especially as we had massive problems at the end of the holiday. The welcome pack for people and dogs was amazing.
Recently come home from a great week at Corner Cottage. What a great find this place was !close to beaches, woods .Perfect for us and our dogs . Welcoming ,clean and practical the owners have thought of everything we may have needed. Peaceful surroundings .Close to the Lessingham Star where we had 2 great meals. This was our 4th stay at this wonderful property and we have booked again. We love it and so do our dogs. It's really hard to find nice places to take 3 dogs that are actually dog friendly in practice but Beachcomber is. Cannot fault the cottage or the customer service and Winterton is a beautiful place. I never worry anymore that it will be difficult with our dogs, I know all members of the family will have a fantastic time in a fantastic place.

We enjoyed our stay at the very comfortable Brig Cottage, Scratby. The cottage is a short walk from a wide, sandy beach with great walks in both directions. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the cottage well equipped for a self-catering stay. Lots to do and see in the area e.g. National Trust properties, Cromer, Sheringham, Horsey Gap, Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Plenty of places at which to eat and drink. Great value and highly recommended.
A fantastic property set in a quiet village. Great for dogs, very clean & cosy. A lovely setting for a break the surrounding areas are very dog friendly.
Beautiful. Only problem for us was the stairs. We both have problems with our legs. But was a fantastic place.
Our 3rd stay at Thatch Cottage (one of my favourite ERC properties) & it didn't disappoint. This time we came with friends who had never been before & they didn't want to leave! So much space for everyone & a great garden for the dogs. Lovely walks from the door direct to the beach or surrounding countryside - what's not to love!
Skylark is a well equipped compact little chalion the Winterton Estate by miles of sandy beach. We were sent loads of info that turned out to be for the whole region so had to be dug through to find out what was actually local. At last minute chose to pack our own bedding on discovering that dog friendly did not include the bed. Lovely week with lots of walks on the beach spotting the seals. This was our 2nd stay at Swallowdale & we were just as impressed as the first. A very generous welcome package awaited us & the dogs, we enjoyed a very much needed cup of tea with a wonderful Norfolk cookie, & the dogs enjoyed their homemade dog treats too. Everything in the house was wonderfully clean & tidy, & the dog supplies (in the garage) were really useful; especially the steps for the dachshunds to get on to the sofa & the MudDaddy came in very handy with the collies. We felt relaxed as soon as we opened the gate into the large secure garden. The cottage is very well equipped and was nice and cosy. Our dog loved the big, safe garden and we all enjoyed the treats in the welcome pack. Amazing walks from the cottage itself and only a short drive to the beach where we saw loads of seals and their pups. A perfect long weekend away. Can’t recommend highly enough!
The Lodge had everything we needed and more. Not a cow or sheep in sight so we didn’t have to worry about our dogs chasing them! Can highly recommend a stay and will certainly look forward to another visit.
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
Had a much needed 5 day break in East Cottage, Walnut Farm, Waxham. It was everything we hoped for. We have an exempt XL Bully and the secure high-fenced (landscaped for us and him) gave us great peace of mind to let him have freedom in the garden. I stayed at Farthing Cottage with friends and my cocker spaniel for a weekend break. The cottage is cozy and well equipped for self catering. The garden was completely secure, so perfect for the dog, and we were delighted with the welcome hampers for both two and four-legged guests. The electric car charger was much appreciated as well! The only reason for 4 stars on condition is that the extractor fan in the bathroom sounds like it needs replacing and we found that if we had the kettle or extractor fan on and opened the dishwasher, the circuits for the sockets in the kitchen and living area ...more
We had a very restful stay at Badger's Retreat. Friendly and attentive hosts, generous welcome pack, and the property was warm and comfortable. Garden perfect for small dogs, and loads of really super walks from the door.
We enjoyed our break in this snug little cottage with its dog friendly safe garden. Attentive owner next door. Although very rural only a short drive to Stalham and a little further to glorious beach at Sea Palling. Almost everything you need in the cottage and very comfy beds too.
Red Roofs is a large character house. Very spacious with comfortable beds in airy large rooms. The gardens back & front are huge. The back garden is a dogs delight & perfect for all breeds of dogs playing ball & sniffy games. I have never seen such a large amount of goodies for humans including enormous sponge cake with the tastiest of jams. This house is perfect for family / friends meet up. Stayed there with my husband and two large dogs. We had plenty of room and the garden was great for zoomies! Hot tub was lovely with lots of space. Cottage had all the major conveniences but a bit more information would have been helpful (i.e. instruction manuals for appliances, bin procedure etc.) It's a great location to disconnect and get away from everything. Two beautiful walking routes, either through fields and up the river or over the dunes and to the beach. A 3 night stay in Sunny Cottage in October was bliss. A fantastic get away from the hustle and bustle, to chill and enjoy some amazing family and puppy time. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. A wonderful place to stay and the cottage was rustic, yet had all mod-cons that you could wish for (of a high standard). Pollywiggle was in a beautiful location with walks to the beach and to the broads. I had a couple of small niggles at first but they were quickly dealt with, mostly down to my knowledge of how to work the gas oven. Their is no gas were I live. The garden is very secure and although gravel was fine for my dogs. The static has all you need, except a bread knife. Being on the larger size I kept hitting the oven knobs when I was at the sink. The bed was wonderfully comfortable
