We stayed here in early 2019 with friends and knew right away we'd all be back for our 2020 reunion. An excellent kitchen with everything you would need, fabulous dining table (ideal for when friends joined us one day and we catered for 12) and a wonderful lounge. Beds comfy, showers hot, brilliant for children and adults alike.
A lovely comfortable house. Very generous welcome basket of goodies. Pretty village . Close to welcoming pub with fantastic food . Ideal for exploring the Cotswolds.
We have had a super stay at Hayloft. I am in a wheelchair much of the time and the cottage was easy to maneuver around and very comfortable. The stairs to the main bedroom were a bit of a challenge for me but well worth the effort - beautiful beamed room and bathroom. Nice sitting out areas drenched in sun. With a lovely hamper of local food ready on our arrival.
Our stay at the Bothy was really great. Although small, this property was perfect for two people, had convenient parking outside. It is in the heart of a lovely village with footpaths close-by if you fancy a walk. The cottage itself was spotless, warm and comfortable and the welcome hamper was the best we have ever seen and was not expected but was very much appreciated. Local produce showcased beautifully. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
Poppy's Cottage is delightful, comfortable and well equipped. The location is lovely and there is nothing you could want for. The welcome hamper was the best we have ever had. All the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We took our German friends there for a week and they fell in love with Poppey's Cottage and the and the surrounding area as did we.
The only slight negative was the lack of drawers in the bedroom. Otherwise, it was a lovely cottage, with very tasteful decor and fittings, an excellent kitchen and bathroom and was extremely comfortable with delightful views from the french doors. The addition of a Christmas tree and lovely hamper made it a perfect Christmas getaway.
We had to make a last minute booking and everything was handled impeccably. We arrived quite late but the next morning Andy arrived with a welcome package which was really appreciated (and unexpected!) The cottage was impeccable, had everything you would need and was very conveniently as we needed to be close to our daughter which was only a few miles away. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a place to stay in the Cotswold are
Little Shrublands is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Great location in a lovely village. We enjoyed several barbecues in the lovely garden. Cottage is very well equipped with comfortable beds and comfortable sofas. Oh yes and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
I was told I would be advised re key collection 48 hours before we went but in fact the owner didn’t contact me until 1.30 the day of our arrival. I contacted your office but they weren’t very helpful.
St Micheals cottage was the highlight of our 6 week tour of Europe. The property and accommodation is unsurpassed! The cottage is beautiful and so comfortable and the gardens are magnificent. Broadway is a wonderful home base to explore the Cotswolds. It was fun to be able to walk from the cottage into the village and access the Cotswold Way. Lance and his wife and the gardener Pip are delightful! We hope to return to St. Michaels cottage in the near future.
We had an Amazing stay, the barn was immaculate. Julia was outstanding so helpful and thoughtful. The welcome pack that was left was unbelievable she even had a kinder egg in the fridge ready for my little boy! Beautiful barn and perfect for a break away. We didn’t need anything as this barn has everything you could imagine!
We really enjoyed our stay. The Barn (cottage) is in a lovely country location, very quite and peaceful. It is idly placed for surrounding villages, we enjoyed Bury End (please of eateries), Snowshill (Pub in walking distance and very interesting Snowhill manor). There are plenty of other places nearby too. We would recommend the pub in Lower Slaughter too; lovely pub in a beautiful location. Given the ages in our party we appreciated the two en-suites and having a downstairs toilet. The only disappointment was that the photograph of the Barn on the web site show views up the valley from t...more
Just what we needed after Christmas lovely village The Glen is a beautiful cottage would definitely return xx
As ever Moore Cottage was lovely and the location is perfect for a stroll down to Bourton for breakfast or dinner. The only gripes we have is that the heating, in spite of changing the setting on the thermostat, is either boiling hot or off. I turned some of the radiators off and they still got hot! It was uncomfortably hot. Also the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were broken.
Overall very happy with our stay. Some minor niggles with squeaking doors and such, and we needed summer duvets to be brought to the property as winter ones in summer aren’t a great idea, but overall quite happy.
The cottage had all the amenities and creature comforts that one could ever wish for in a holiday rental cottage in mid March. It was very comfortable and ideally located in the centre of the village. The owners clearly take great pride in this property because it has been tastefully modernised.
Kingham is a charming village with 2 gastropubs a shop and a direct line station to London. The old bakehouse is just off the pretty high street and opposite the very fine Kingham Plough dining Pub. The house was all we could have wanted. A truly exceptional hamper of welcome and a lovely warm and clean house made the stay delightful
Beautiful old building with lots of original features but with all the required mod-cons for a comfortable stay. We had 6 adults and two grandchildren with plenty of room to accommodate us all. Grounds and gardens were superb with tennis court, games room and gym. Easy driving to all places we needed to see, Stratford-on-Avon being the main attraction and Bourton-on-the-Water never loses it's charm so a lovely day was spent there.
The cottage was great and the location was great. Only a dishwasher would have improved things. The local pub is great but gets very busy on a Saturday night. You need to book to get a table. It's the only pub in Naunton so if you can't get in you have to go to Stow or Bourton
Lovely few days at Diamond cottage , fabulous location , lots of shops & eateries & all very dog friendly . The cottage was well equipped , extremely comfortable, beautiful bedrooms , sensational views . Can’t wait to book again .
A delightful comfortable property presented with Cotswold Cottages’ customary attention to detail and excellent ‘welcome pack ‘ on arrival. We have rebooked it for later in the year!
Pat is an excellent and considerate hostess. thank you Pat. The studio is quiet and peaceful in a remote location ( as expected)but obviously well placed for excellent walking had we still been able to do so! A good map is essential to find ones way around the warren of narrow steep lanes . The studio is well equipped and comfortable, very clean it has everything one could expect. There is plenty to do and to enjoy within a few miles radius. We enjoyed our time there, and hope to visit again. Cotswold hideaways could have been more helpful at one stage of our booking .
Very good location for visiting Broadway & surrounding historic houses & gardens. Views from the house are terrific & the gardens beautiful. A fine example of a Cotswold cottage.
Had a great stay here. Really peaceful and in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The accommodation was very good and the owners were very friendly with a nice welcome - including a bottle of wine, Cheese & biscuits. Our dog had a great time on the farm with several walks from the farm into Moreton and back. Would recommend the Tractor Shed to anybody looking to explore the Cotswolds or just looking for some peace and quiet. Will definitely be going back in the future.
Super stylish, comfortable, quiet, roaring fires, lovely walks, great for kids - so relaxing. Visited Cirencester and the wildlife park, but really didn’t want to leave the cottage. A real home from home, Bella (4) loved her room and all the lovely toys.
Lovely comfortable cottage with good facilities. Very clean and well prepared. Beautiful tranquil garden, enclosed so dogs were safe. Lovely Welcome Hamper. We have visited the area before so knew this was a good location for us (dog walks, pubs etc.) Lovely to see the addition of the great cafe at the Community Shop. We hope to be back.
Beautiful cottage. Well equipped, well furnished and very comfortable. Three generations and a dog enjoyed family time together.
We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy a weekend with our friends. The place is beautiful and has everything you could need. Beds were very comfortable and rooms nicely decorated. Lots of bathrooms to accommodate a group:
We hired both houses to accommodate our family of 18, to celebrate a 60th birthday. We ranged in ages between 1 and 87 years, so plenty to consider before booking. We were delighted, especially as Watery Park Barn could cater for us all when dining, or playing games by the fire in the evening. We were greeted by Stephen's daughter, who give us all the information needed to enjoy the facilities to the full. Stephen was on hand and quickly erected an additional stair gate for our little one. Although it was January, we were very cosy, all the bedrooms had heating and the log fire was a great...more
A beautiful compact and cozy cottage with log burner which was all set up and greatly appreciated. We even managed to take advantage of lunching outside in the sunshine. Cottage is dog friendly but garden not exactly enclosed as one part of the wall is only about a foot high which would not have prevented our sakuki from jumping over it! Village green just opposite cottage though for a quick loo break.
Beautiful Cottage in a great location, the owners left us a very generous welcome hamper, the cottage had all we needed it was clean and comfortable, just what we had hoped for thankyou.
A beautiful relaxing cottage to return to after wonderful walks and fabulous food. Even the sun shone!
Very good facilities. Rural setting but an excellent pub called Keepers which was fabulous. Great food and super staff. No need to travel into Burford!
What glorious views from the Pavilion. A lovely property overlooking the rolling Costwold Hills. Make sure you take binoculars if you enjoy wildlife watching - we saw Buzzards, red kites, an owl hunting, and deer during our stay. The location is fantastic if you have a car and it is walkable to the 'pub within one mile', however it is not open every day and is not your average country watering hole if you are looking for just a quick pint or two. The nearby villages have more 'down to earth' options a short car journey away.
Devon Cottage was a superb place to stay in every aspect. The location was perfect with added bonus of parking, often a problem in Stow. The owners set high standards throughout, accommodation was comfortable, warm, clean and stylish. Communication with the owners was instant and very helpful. Thank you.
Lovely place we really enjoyed our Xmas at Nellie's Barn. It was very comfortable and well equipped and set in lovely countryside. I would like to visit again in the summer. There are some lovely walks in the area.
We went to Clematis cottage for an escape the London life weekend and escape we did! The Location is great, very picturesque. The cottage is very quaint but it is very small. By that I mean that it would be ideally suited to one or two people staying as the living/kitchen area is minuscule. There is also only enough seating for 3 people but to be honest any more and you’d be squashed! The stairs are very steep so not for the very young or infirm. A lovely cottage but probably ideal for a couple.
Well equipped for family holiday. Enclosed garden ideal for pets.Garden beautiful for relaxing in and super for grandchildren to play on swings and childrens cottage.
3 generations celebrate! Great place for us all, so well equipped with everything we could as for. Would highly recommend
We had a relaxing weeks holiday at Bay tree cottage. A warm welcome but left alone to enjoy our rest afterwards with the knowledge we could call if required. Plenty of places to visit in the area and some super pubs near by.
This was my second stay here. The cottage is stunning, beautiful views, wonderfully decorated. Very comfortable beds, the hamper left has everything you need. Kitchen has just about everything you could want. My only complaint was that the lounge was cold, I lit a fire, and both radiators were on, but it was a cold weekend, downstairs there is no double glazing, we really needed a plug in fire,
Quiet lovely well set up cottage. Looked after very promptly by agent who genuinely cared when a couple of things required attention. Would not hesitate to recommend. The log fire was lovely. Pub across the road very good. Longborough is not on the tourist trail so its a quiet village but central to all the lovely places to visit. Moreton-in-Marsh up the road has several restaurants plus an Aldi.
Snowshill is in a good location to see many of the Cotswolds villages. The house quickly became hone. The aga in the kitchen gave the whole house a warmth which we appreciated.
Pretty much everything you want in a holiday cottage. Well equipped, comfy beds, quiet location but with two good pubs (and a community shop) within a short walk, walks from the door and lots of great places to visit nearby. Expensive but worth the money.
A large party of us met for a long weekend Birthday celebration for my Wife. Watery Park barn fitted the bill perfectly. It was plenty big enough for 16 of us and with great rooms where we could all congregate, to smaller areas where you could 'get away' from the throng, everyone's needs were catered for. Having enough bathrooms and a dining table that we all fitted round were big plusses. It was a shame the weather prevented us from using the excellent garden facilities but we did venture out on some of the local country walks that start literally from the front door. we will certainly ...more
The marketing pictures and info did not reflect the reality of the exterior or the parking problems encountered. The cottage’s Interior was comfortable, kitchen well stocked and clean. If parking issue was resolved, I would be likely to return.
Jasmine Cottage is excellent if you are looking for peace, quite and to relax. Excellent dog walking area with great pub within walking distance. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need, the hamper left for us was excellent. It is also very clean and well looked after and made for a very comfortable stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this property for 4 nights over New Year. It’s in a lovely sleepy village & has parking for two cars. Great location to discover the Cotswolds from. We were welcomed by a huge hamper of food and wine & even treats for our dog. Whoever was there over Christmas had also left a full cheese plate inc grapes & crackers! There was also milk, apple juice & Prosecco in the fridge. Local butter and fresh loaf of bread! The beds were very comfortable & showers fantastic - the heating worked very well, but we definitely needed the log fire on in the evenings in the sitting r...more
This was a few days away for my extended family, sons, wives and grand children. The property was unique and met our needs for everyone from Grandma to Willow our newest 1 year old grand daughter. Not far from Chipping Camden and Broadway and with local walks in the village and on Dovers hill. It was perfect for the local wedding we were attending. I can recommned it. Only negative was the muddy driveway but this did not spoil the holiday in any way.
Very nice location and setting. Only slightly let down by furniture which is well passed its sell by date, in particular the bed and settee. The bed is on a slope and when you’re lying in it you feel like you’re sliding out of it. Otherwise a good place for a few days break. The welcome pack was very much appreciated.
We had a wonderful weekend in this cottage with our friends. The annex unfortunately smelt of paraffin when we arrived which was explained by the owner and although had been cleaned the strong odour was present all weekend. The cottage however was well appointed and beautiful and Oddington is a lovely village.
After reading through the reviews describing the property we were expecting accommodation that was near perfect .......not so. Generally the equipment was modern and in working order however ..... 1) We were advised not to use the stove in the lounge (Inglenook fireplace) as it was emitting a lot of smoke 2) The oven was rather grubby on the inside and had to be cleaned before it was used 3) The sofas in the lounge and snug had biscuit remnants under the cushions together with other bits and pieces 4). Farm traffic constantly using the lane adjoining the property causing noise and a cert...more
no wash cloth to wipe down kitchen surface, tiny freezer was fully blocked with built up ice. One bin liner for a week, nothing to sweep kitchen floor apart from a dustpan. Very pricey for a basic outdated apartment, nice antique video player, some of the lamps was not working. Decent location for walking into town centre
