Perfect location for a pickleball retreat. Loved Tapnell farm, the cow and playing pickleball on the west wight.
Second time visiting Tapnell Farm and it’s an outstanding day out for our little children and then staying overnight ‘camping’ really made it a lot of fun. We stayed in the shipping containers and found it to be a lot of fun, and outstanding value for money at just £65 a night. The Cow Restaurant is also excellent quality food too.
Great house for our group and such a bonus to be next to Tapnell farm with all the facilities and such a beautiful location- we will definitely Italy be back!
Lovely place to stay nice and quiet. The perfect little stay for a night with no distractions. Breakfast was phenomenal.
Made a perfect day so smooth and enjoyable, staff were absolutely brilliant and so friendly and the perfect setting
We stayed one night at the Dome accommodation at Tapnell Farm, which was absolutely amazing. The **views were stunning**, and the setting was so **peaceful and tranquil**—the perfect place to unwind. The Dome was **comfortable, stylish**, and had everything we needed. A truly **exceptional place to stay**—wish we could’ve stayed longer!
The Wendy house and Tapnall Farm are both amazing. Idyllic location, everything you could need, well thought out - we had the most wonderful time. The only issue we had was with cleanliness. The bedrooms, bedding, bathrooms etc were very clean and no issues but lots of the crockery (plates, bowls, glasses, oven trays) in the cupboards were dirty and it appeared the upstairs has not been given a deep clean (cobwebs on the windowsill, marks on the glass etc). It didn’t spoil our stay and wouldn’t prevent me from returning but it was an issue. The outside table was also not clean.
Stayed in a piglet for a wedding and loved it. Creative use of space, with a comfy bed and the wherewithal for making tea in the morning. Lovely to step out of the door and see the fields all around. I was actually here in 1970 for the IOW pop festival, when the accommodation was a little more basic! Stable block has good bathrooms a few yards away. If you’re someone who needs to get up in the night a lot though, the Snug might be better for you than a piglet.
We have stayed at Tapnell multiple times before. We always know that we will always have a great stay, it is always clean and the facilities are great. Staying in February we were worried that the dome could be cold. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and warm due to the central heating. The dome itself was kept warm by the wood burning stove. We kept this constantly going and were nice and toasty. The beds also came with electric blankets for even more warmth. Would be more than happy to stay here again.
East Afton farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. We were a group of four families and we were blown away by teverything the farmhouse and annex had to offer. It is luxurious but homely at the same time, a beautiful warm and cosy famhouse in a wild and wonderful setting. We stayed over New Year and enjoyed wild walks in the hills, the huge waves on the beaches and lunch at The Cow restaurant. There are cows on site which the kids loved, the cinema room is an absolute winner and the selection of coffees, chutneys and snacks on arrival was a lovely welcome. A word too for...more
We loved staying in the Dome Meadow. Our accommodation was both elegant and cosy, and had everything we needed. It was very useful to be able to dine outside with our family whilst the children slept within earshot. The kitchen and whole dome was so well equipped. The views are just stunning too - I will be remembering them for some time.
The team were amazing! So flexible and helpful. We wanted to book a last minute birthday present for our parents and the team replied to emails super quick with suggestions. The modulog was clean, comfortable and perfect. Beautiful views, lovely walks and great food at the Cow. 10/10 experience
The views from our dome was amazing. The dome was very clean, in amazing shape with an amazing shower and wood burning hottub
We had a great stay for a Wedding Weekend. There was nothing missing. The house was cozy and the landscape was beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend it.
Excellent location a real glamping experience with fantastic toilet/shower block, peace & tranquility
Spacious tent with plenty of room for the 5 of us. Amazing views over fields to the sea. Great for kids - animals and play area - we were all adults!! Very comfy beds and good coffee, tea making facilities - kitchen in general looked great but The Cow just round the corner is a great restaurant/bar with good value excellent food.
Beautiful stunning location. Booked a last minute break for my two boys and husband for one night. Lovely lodge, everything you needed for the 4 of us. Available early . Super comfortable bed in the left hand room. My son wasn't keen on bed in his room. Made noise every time he moved. Couldn't find a chopping board. Also a lack of toiletries, two small bars of soap. Would have expected more. We didn't use the farm park or other activities as these didn't cater for our age range of children. 14 & 8. Aqua park and football golf were our options, but neither appealed. My 8 year old was ha...more
We were three families getting together for a significant birthday. Having our own space but all together was very important to us and we all had a glorious time. The weather wasn't always kind to us but the cosy woodburner, radiators and heated blankets meant there was no need to be chilly and made the board games we turned to feel like a chosen option, rather than a Plan B. Being on the fringe of Tapnell Farm was brilliant because we were a short walk from all that activity that we could duck in and out of, yet in the tent area we felt very much away from it all and there was loads of space ...more
Great to get espresso pods, tea bags and cookies. A nespresso machine was great The kitchen had everything - but the knives needed sharpening Good towels and comfortable bed linens
Just spent an incredible 3 nights at Tapnell Farm’s Modulog, and it was everything we hoped for - romantic, peaceful, and the ultimate escape. The Modulog itself felt like a real retreat, with cosy, comfy beds and an indoor log burner that made evenings so snug. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to whip up meals after days filled with exploring the Isle of Wight. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub. Sitting there under a blanket of stars with nothing but the sounds of nature around us? Absolute magic. This Modulog was such a special place to "come home to" each nig...more
Location is perfectly situated by scenic surroundings and tranquility. Great stay there. Overall 10/10 . Thanks . We see u again in future.
Overall our stay was great. The lodge was lovely and clean. The bench seat was a bit hard to sit on for long, but the bed was comfortable. Great facilities. The view was amazing and it was nice and quiet to relax in. The only negative was that there were no staff on arrival. We didn't know where to go, park or that we would have to use wheelbarrows to walk our luggage to our lodge. No one answered the telephone when we rang either. Luckily we spotted another person staying on site who told us what to do and where to go.
Lovely cozy cabin with great amenities. Wasn't able to use the hot tub unfortunately as was too busy during the day to get it going in time. But the cabin is lovely with everything you need.
We loved our stay, checking in and out was very easy, we asked if we could arrive earlier and check out later which the team were very flexible in accommodating. The pods were incredibly well kit-out and clean. Our stay was pretty much perfect, everything you might need was available on hand. The pods are charming, cosy and well equipped. Perfect for what we needing during our stay in February. Excellent access to wider Tapnell Farm facilities, as it was the winter months and we were without a car, when we come again we will come with a car as access to public transport and some shops be...more
Never disappoints! Staff friendly and helpful. The Farmhouse retains its idyllic charm, and Tapnell Farm remains an excellent venue for kids and adult entertainment....and The Cow... fab
we had a short 4 night stay at Tapnell farm in a log cabin which was spacious and had everything that you would need for adults and children. we had brought our 2 dogs as well and had area that the dogs could be toileted the only problem was the garden area was not secured by a gate. would highly recommend as lots to do at the farm and near by areas.
Great glamping experience with wonderful facility and fun activities at the farm. Highly recommended!
Beautiful surroundings, the modulog is very cosy. Having the hot tub is a real bonus on a clear starlit night, very romantic. This is the second year we have been, and love it here, nice little touch leaving some treats and a ball for Lazzlo the dog, he was very grateful xx
Love this place Our group of 8 ladies Love this place as it re sets us for the next year. Beautiful setting
Couldn’t fault the facilities which included power and water next to container, kettle, microwave and even 2 air fryers in the kitchen area, great shower block too. Container had 8 beds (double + 3 x bunks) plenty of storage, and place for dog too. Only downside was the mattresses were plastic-coated and were so noisy it was like sleeping on a crisp packet.
We had a brilliant relaxing weekend with the family. Something for everyone raning in age from 15 months to mid fifties. Also the weather was great which always helps.
We were a group of 4 adults on a short break. Ideal base for exploring west of Isle of Wight - Yarmouth, Needles, Freshwater trail, Tennyson’s house, etc. Dombala recommended for lunches & photo exhibition. Pleased with ferry discount available when booking accommodation, good value. Pretty house, easy to find, good views from upstairs bedrooms. Everywhere spotless. Milk in fridge & free eggs available, coffee pods, tea, sugar & biscuits. All appreciated. Kitchen very well equipped. Doors to back garden bit tricky to negotiate & lounge space great for 4 but probably not for larger gr...more
Beautiful Farm, perfectly equipped Safari Tents. Kids just loved it. We definitely will come back next Easter.
Myself and my (now!) husband stayed in the snug away from the main house for our wedding We LOVED it! It was comfortable and a had all the facilities you may need including milk in the fridge! Only thing to note was it could do with a blind in the toilet, im not sure you could be seen but anyone visiting the facilities for the piglets but it does lead you to feel a bit exposed when getting out of the shower. Although this certainly wont mean we wont stay again, it was PERFECT!!
We spent the weekend staying in one of the containers at the Farm and it exceeded all our expectations. The container itself was surprisingly comfortable—spacious enough for a relaxed stay for the 4 of us, with comfortable bunk beds. Everything was immaculately clean when we arrived, which instantly made us feel at ease and enough space to drop bags We had excellent access to all the on-site facilities—showers, toilets, and the onsite activity areas and the Cow co restaurant was AMAZING and just a short walk away from our container making the whole experience really convenient. We were initially a bit nervous about sleeping in sleeping containers but the set up is excellent!! Everyone had a fantastic time and we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets after making the most of all Tapnell Farm has to offer.
The booking of the house was ver straightforward. The team were responsive to all my questions. The discount on the ferries was much appreciated. The house was lovely and really worked for our family group. We also had Poachers Lodge - and managed to get 12 people eating in the kitchen with ease. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The bathrooms were all clean and good water pressure for the shower. The BBQ kit was great with coals and fore lighters. The locations is excellent. We went to the needles, Freshwater Bay and also back towards Newport and Cowes for a spa and golf. Would rec...more
The only thing I would suggest is to make more obvious number of beds in a container. We had 8 but actually would prefer to have fewer beds and more space inside.
Second time visiting this place. Such a lovely spot and so fun for the children. Facilities excellent. Only trouble was some people arrive not expecting camp site and assume hotel facilities! Showers and toilets fantastic. Staff prompt if any concerns. Very practical accommodation layout. Suggest a pump dispenser for washing up liquid as people use too much and it's gone within a day. Thank you
We loved our stay for half term, despite the weather, we really enjoyed the farm, all the activities and eating at The Cow onsite. So accessible with free and easy parking; it's what we love about staying at Tapnell Farm as the facilities are second to none. The chalet was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed BUT a bit tired in places and really needs a new lick of paint to brighten it up.
Great clamping experience and lovely location. Loads to do on the farm. Good facilities. Definitely recommended.
A fabulous stay with breathtaking views! The piglet had all I needed for a fabulous few nights sleep. The separate bathroom was really spacious and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful experience
We had a brilliant stay overall! Loved the location and facilities were very clean and well maintained, lots for the kids to do and the camp was really well set up. Great communication and discount on the ferry. Amazing meal at the cow. Also dog treats as a welcome gift was a lovely idea. We would have loved there to be less beds in the cabin to allow for more floor space! There were 4 bunk beds for 8 people so these took up all the floor space and there was no room to sit inside comfortably - we were a family of 4 with our dog!
