We had a lovely stay at Little Barford. The kids enjoyed watching the tractors go by and the grown ups admired the peaceful surroundings. Lots to do a short drive away - we’d recommend Cotswold Wildlife Park. The house had lots of homely touches that made us feel welcome such as freshly baked cake and flower displays.

This is such a little gem… I almost don’t want to share how good it actually is ..
So beautifully renovated, the converted mill nestles into the countryside and has never ending views of fields and sky. It really is the most wonderful home to share with friends and family whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just want a break in the countryside. Amazing walks are on your doorstep and it’s a great location to visit all of the beautiful Cotswold villages from.
The hosts were so helpful and Tom is on hand if there are any issues. There were none for us!!
Hot tub and underfloor heating are fabulous and they even welcome furry friends.
10/10 from me !!!

This beautifully converted water mill is ideal for family get togethers. Plenty of space to relax, with the benefit of a hot tub. Peaceful, rural location, but not far from shops and pubs. Excellent for country walks and loved having the sheep for company. Equipped to a very high standard and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We drove up the farm track and the mill appeared, it looked as if we'd made the right choice. We arrived a little early and were welcomed by the owner who said she needed a few more minutes but to have a look around. Surrounded by fields, the only sounds were from sheep and the river. A few minutes later, we were wished a pleasant stay. We looked around the mill, the bedrooms, lounge, snug, kitchen were like flicking through a magazine of 'dream' properties. Views from every window and door were stunning. We knew our family would love it. The property had literally everything we needed. Although you are in a beautiful rural setting, you are not far from villages and towns. Passing traffic consisted of walkers, horses and tractors, whose drivers waved every time they passed, on occasions stopping for a chat to asked if we were enjoying our stay. As a family we all said it was the perfect place for our holiday.

Our weekend at Little Barford Mill was an absolute tonic from start to finish. The Mill has been so beautifully and tastefully renovated. Every detail is divine and the added touches such as dressing gowns in the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms add a touch of luxury. The outside space is ample and there are many areas to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. The patio has the evening sun which has uninterrupted views of the sunset. It really is the most magical setting and I do not think there are words that do it justice! I would absolutely recommend Little Barford Mill to anyone seeking a weekend retreat. The most perfect escape weekend with a group of friends from London!! There are walks on the doorstep into the Cotswold's countryside and many quintessential villages to explore too. Our only regret was we didn't stay long enough!!

The photos don’t do this place justice, it’s even lovelier. Beautifully modernised with lots of original features yet it’s lovely and warm, modern and comfortable. The accommodation catered for our every need and the extra touches like the flowers in every room and the delicious cake left for us made our stay extra special. The location is stunning with sheep and lambs in the field next door. A great garden for games and the hot tub was excellent fun. My 60th birthday celebrations were memorable for all of my family and none of us wanted to leave.

A really lovely place which has been very thoughtfully renovated as a holiday property - we had everything we needed for a fab at 50 celebration with a few old school friends. Tom was really responsive while we were there and we were very grateful to the owners who were really accommodating with a request that helped make the weekend enjoyable for all and extra special. The dogs also enjoyed the great walks from the house and their own separate dog cleaning house with luxury towels! Would definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay at Little Barford Mill for my Dads 60th birthday weekend.

Our stay at Little Barford Mill was truly delightful and very peaceful. The entire process booking with Stay Cotswold was one of the best I have encountered. Extremely professional and friendly.
It was my husband’s birthday and the accommodation at “The Mill” enabled us to get together with family and friends for a special treat. It was clean, warm and welcoming and the homemade cake was a lovely touch. All in all, “The Mill” and its location exceeded all expectations and I would have no hesitation in recommending this home. Indeed, we will be back.

We stayed at Little Barford Mill for my husband’s 60th birthday with friends and family. The house was perfect. Plenty room, lovely and warm with very comfortable bedrooms with plenty hot water. The hot tub was an added bonus. It was steaming hot and starting the day with a cup of coffee immersed in the warm water with frost on the ground was magical! We had some lovely walks from the house including one to the local pub. The area around the house is very peaceful and quiet. All in all, a wonderful weekend.

We stayed at Little Barford Mill as a group of 7 adults for our annual get together.
Booking with StayCotswolds was easy, and the portal was great to upload all the information needed.
There was plenty of information about the cottage online and was surprised for such detailed directions providing we had a what3words, postcode and written instructions.
First impressions of the cottage were great, we were concerned we were driving through private property when going through the farm, but on asking for directions found that they were extremely friendly and helpful.
We found the location to be perfect as it felt secluded and private so we weren't concerned with disturbing anyone during our stay, but we were also a short drive away from local villages. The surroundings and views of fields and footpaths made for a very peaceful stay.

The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful. The decor, the design, everything you can tell has been done with a lot of thought and planning with no expense spared. On arrival we had fresh flowers in the living areas and a homemade cake which included a list of allergens (very helpful and a nice touch!!).
The beds were all very comfy- possibly some of the nicest pillows I have slept on.

Outside the property was perfect with a seating area, dining table and chairs to accommodate all staying, sun loungers and the hot tub. We were lucky enough to enjoy bbq's 2 nights we were there.

The only thing I would say is that it is missing a microwave for ease of making porridge and scrambled egg in a morning, otherwise the kitchen was very stocked with all sizes of dinnerware and serve ware.

We all said we have now set a bar for our next staycation and are unsure if anywhere else will stand up to our expectations now we have stayed at Little Barford Mill.
I think for 7 adults to all say that they would return and thoroughly enjoyed our stay says just how perfect this cottage is. We had multiple people asking where we were staying when sharing images/videos on social media due to how nice it is.
Don't hesitate to book your stay here, as I imagine it will become a very sought after cottage and book up fast.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Little Barford Mill to celebrate a 70th birthday. The house met our expectations in every way and the little extra touches - fresh cake to welcome us, wild flowers in all the rooms, made it all very special. The setting lent itself to a private, relaxed and special weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay here, enjoyed by all!
Amazing property and renovation, it was so peaceful and restful, we loved it and will certainly come back!
Our only feedback would be for the garden lawns, they are covered in Thistle weeds which means you have to have footwear on at all times, we all played games including our young children and it was uncomfortable. Our two little dogs refused to walk on it as it hurt their paws! Not a complaint but feedback to improve..

I cannot say enough nice things about Little Barford Mill, it was absolutely perfect for our time away. The building has so much space and character, and it is so nicely done. The location is peaceful and has trails right outside the door and there are many nice little villages a short drive away for anything you may need. Every member of my family thought this place was perfect.

Our family - parents plus two adult kids and their partners - had the most wonderful 10 days at Little Barford Mill.

First - the house is fabulous. Five bedrooms (with ensuite bathrooms) separated into 3 private suites, beautiful living and dining areas, fantastic kitchen, lots of private nooks with comfy furniture, enormous patio and hot tub - it was perfect. Sparkling clean, well appointed, everything new but fit into the comfy old aesthetic. We all loved it, not least because we didn't have to live on top of each other.
Second - Tom and his family could not have been nicer or more accommodating. If we had a problem (e.g., multiple flat tires from running over curbs!) they quickly helped us to resolve it. Although we were on their home property - a large sheep and oats farm - they were not at all intrusive.
Third - we loved the location. Admittedly it is very isolated - it's in the middle of a large farm in a tiny village - but we were 10-15 minutes from anything we needed (groceries, stores, restaurants, etc.), 30 minutes from dozens of popular towns, villages and manor homes, and 45 min to Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. If you're looking to walk down the block to a pub, this isn't the place but it is a perfect getaway (and there's a great pub a mile down the road). A surprise to we city folk - there were absolutely no "farm odors."

We had only two minor issues - we would have liked to have a microwave to minimize cooking. And, Google maps has problems pinpointing the location (it never gave us the same directions twice).

We're grateful to the Lovells for making our wonderful vacation possible. This place gets a 20/10.

We stayed at Little Barford Mill for my mum’s 60th birthday celebrations with the family. We were keen to find somewhere that was suitable for my grandparents (who are in their late 80s) and an energetic three year old, plus six adults… and it is safe to say that Little Barford Mill was completely perfect!

From the fresh flowers and beautiful Victoria Sponge cake ready for us on arrival to the gorgeous interiors and outdoor space, Little Barford Mill is a true gem hidden away in the countryside. We had packed pretty much everything we thought we could possibly need, but it wasn’t necessary - the kitchen was kitted out with everything we could have asked for and more, and the house had an incredibly homely feel with all amenities.

Tom and the family were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. We were grateful for their recommendations for things to do in local area, however the house was so lovely we didn’t feel the need to venture out often.

The family were already planning our return trip next year before we had even left. We cannot wait to return!

The cottage was amazing to spend time with family there were 9 of us and plenty of space for everyone. Everything was finished to a very high spec fab hot tub and views were amazing! Some lovely walks and lovely pubs nearby - especially the George - well recommended. The owner Tom was very helpful and there was a gorgeous homemade cake for us on arrival - we would love to revisit - highly recommended!
