A lovely well equipped and comfortable property in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Burford is a really interesting place to be based with great shops and lots of fine historic properties.

Ostlers is a charming property, extremely well located in the center of Buford, cozy and full of character, being a historic building. Excellent parking in the back was great for our big nine-passenger van. We stayed as a family of 4, and our kids enjoyed their own separate rooms. We cook all our meals at home, reason why the kitchen is such an important factor wherever we stay. The kitchen at Ostlers is very well equipped with any sort of kitchenware imaginable, as well as basics such as salt, sugar, oil, etc., which is very welcome for a traveling family. Appliances are modern and in perfect working condition. On the negative side I would point out two minor details: the house is somewhat dimly lit and there is the street noise. The single pane windows do not block the constant traffic noise of the street, however it is important to mention that the traffic is very light at night and in general it did not disturb our sleep. Contributing to the positive guest experience, is the responsiveness of Steve, our host. He is very hands on and available to all our questions and requests. Thank you Steve for your role in making our stay in the Cotswolds a memorable one.

We stayed here before our wedding and used as a grooms cottage to get ready for the wedding. It was the perfect space - the cottage has so much atmosphere and history and is right in the centre of Burford. Steve was really accommodating and was in touch before the stay to explain how everything worked. Thanks so much!

On the high street of this picturesque Cotswold town within walking distance of shops and restaurants and short drive from Burford Garden Centre.
Lovely period property, tastefully decorated and would be very cosy in winter with the wood burning stove.

6 of us stayed at Ostlers for my 40th birthday and we was not disappointed! The cottage was great, in the perfect location for exploring the pubs, restaurants and shops. We also did some great walks which looped back to Burford.
Our host Steve could not have been better with great communication from the outset, provided us with all the info we needed and even managed to get us an early check in! Would highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay at Ostlers in Burford. Steve was extremely helpful, letting us know all about this former coaching inn, and how everything worked. Also what to find in the local area, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Easy booking with StayCotswold, also very helpful.
The house is well equipped with everything with every day essentials, ie: coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, cling film, dishwasher tablets etc.
The position of Ostlers was perfect, all the local eateries were within walking distance. Can recommend the Angel and the Prince Of Burford.
Would loved to have stayed longer if time had allowed.

Perfectly located to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Burford, Ostlers was the ideal setting for our weekend get together with old friends. The cottage retains many features of its former life as a coaching inn, managing to be both spacious and cosy: if there had not been so much to do in Burford itself, we would have spent our entire time hunkered down in front of the fire in the wood panelled sitting room. The well-provisioned kitchen/diner afforded us the opportunity to cook dinner in a companionable environment and then sit around with a glass of wine and a game of cards. We had one meal out at The Angel which we would also recommend. Steve was a very helpful host and we were made to feel very welcome.

Our family had a lovely stay at Ostlers while attending a wedding in the area.
During a very cold spell of weather, we found the cottage very cosy and comfortable. It is a lovely old cottage with lots of history and most importantly, good beds!
Steve, the owner, was most helpful and friendly and was always available to answer any questions or give advice.
I can also recommend Staycotswold for trouble free booking.

Ostlers was absolutely perfect for family break in The Cotswolds. The house is full of character and really well furnished with in-period pieces. We especially liked the wonderful lounge with lots of seating and wood burner. Extra-special was the wonderful Christmas tree and festive touches around the house. The location is ideal for exploring Burford on foot - with lots of shops and wonderful pubs and restaurants lining the High Street, Sheep Street and Witney Street. Thank you Stay Cotswolds and the owners for providing us with a great home away from home.

We had a lovely weekend at Ostlers. Perfect location at the top of the High Street. The cottage is warm and very comfortable. We had everything we needed as very well equipped. Tea, coffee, sugar were provided. Also clingfilm, cooking oil and a few other basics. The Christmas tree was beautiful and added to the cosy feel of the cottage. As did the log burner with a supply of logs. It was a very cold weekend. We purchased more logs at the local shop, they were reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Only parking space for one car, we parked our other car in Sheep Street.

We had the best time! I took 5 of my girlfriends to the Cotswolds for a birthday weekend. The best stay! Would highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back!

This is a really lovely house - extremely well-equipped, beautifully furnished and with a nice little garden. There is some traffic noise at night from the road (we did have the window wide open) but the location is perfect for the village shops and pubs and the beds were so comfy that we all slept well. The arrangements for checking in were excellent, clear and most helpful - suggestions for a second car parking place, ideas for places to visit etc. The kitchen was seriously well-equipped and there were plenty of basics provided. We would have gladly stayed on for a few days more and agreed we would all like to come back again!

Ostlers is a really lovely property with an extremely cooperative landlord. Any request we had was never an issue for him. Burford itself is a lovely village and the house is literally on the main street with all amenities within walking distance. I would recommend the following places to dine; The lamb Inn, The Bay View Hotel, Prince of Burford and The Angel at Burford. There are some really nice walks in the area and The Swan Inn is worth stopping into if you are passing by it.

Again I cannot say enough about Ostlers as it has all amenities you want and a perfect location.

My family and I had an excellent stay at Ostlers in Burford. The Ostlers Cottage is just beautiful inside and outside and Steve is super friendly and helpful providing directions from the team to booking to checkout. When we arrived the cottage was immaculately clean and we felt we were in a beautiful home. The cottage is kitted out with 1) all basic supplies e.g. tea/coffee/sugar/salt/pepper etc. 2) a games cupboard with a great selection to keep the family/adults entertained and 3) a tv unit allowing to connect to local tv along with Netflix, Disney etc. The bedrooms are all a great size along with the en-suite and main bathroom. The location is excellent and Burford is a small beautiful little town in the Cotswolds that makes it easy to navigate to other Cotswolds locations and isn’t far from Oxford or Stratford upon Avon too. Local pubs and restaurants are also great to walk to eat/drink. I would definitely chose and book to stay here again.

Ostlers is a lovely cottage ideally placed for getting out and about in the Cotswolds. I was very impressed with how clean it was- immaculate! The cottage was a lovely size. Roomy kitchen and dining area and a good size sitting room. The lovely weather meant we could relax in the secluded garden belonging to Ostlers. Burford is a great village with many pubs and coffee shops. Lots of independent little shops and a Co-op. The owner made contact shortly before our holiday to give us handy tips and made sure we were happy. Thank you.

We found Ostlers to be a very comfortable, well equipped and immaculately clean property, located in a great position on the main street in Burford, but a sufficient distance from the bustle of the town. The secluded garden, although separate from the property, provided a peaceful spot for relaxation.
Communication with StayCotswold and the property owner was excellent. We hope to have a return visit in the future.

Great location, property really nice, one minor drawback, if cold weather need log burner lit when in living room. Due to location on main road, can be a bit noisy in bedrooms if you’re not use to traffic. Overall though great place to stay. Can recommend The Highway Inn for Sunday lunch and The Royal Oak for their delicious pies.

We stayed at Ostlers in Burford over Christmas time and had the most BRILLIANT experience. We were delighted to step into a warm and cosy cottage, decked out and decorated ready for our Christmas stay. Little extra touches like the hamper to welcome us were much appreciated and put a smile on our faces as soon as we stepped through the door. The rooms were lovely and clean and the oak panelled sitting room complete with fire place was just perfect on a cold winters day after a bracing walk in the surrounding countryside. The kitchen was stocked with every piece of equipment and crockery type you would need and there were even a few essential pantry items to hand that you might have forgotten (as we did..) to add to your shopping list.

Overall we had the most enjoyable stay and very much look forward to booking again.

Steve, our point of contact for the property, was very helpful and pro-active in ensuring we were prepared for our holiday by ringing us a few days in advance of our stay. Our only negative was the noise of traffic from the main road through Burford which was incessant throughout the day and night ( except for a few hours).

We spent 8 days at Ostlers. The house is lovely, very comfortable, well equipped & in an excellent location. The house is close to a number of good restaurants. It is located at the top of a quite steep hill. I am not particularly mobile but managed to make the climb with not much difficulty. We did not have a car but took an excellent private tour of several Cotswolds villages & hired a taxi to take us to another location. Ostlers has a lovely private garden area with a summerhouse. The whole experience was excellent & we would highly recommend a stay at Ostlers.

A wonderful location right in the centre of Burford .Lovely old charming house .Parking is a major issue.There is only room for one car .If you are two families you will have two cars and it is a nightmare to find parking in Burford .Twin beds would be better than three double beds.
Upstairs was lovely and warm but downstairs was cold even with the fire burning . There were not enough logs for three days . More could be made of the garden area.Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the accommodation .

Burford is a popular historic market town and Ostlers, a High Street property, is fortunate to have its own private garden area and parking space in addition to on-street parking and a free carpark nearby. I am sorry to hear you felt cold downstairs, this hasn’t been mentioned before but we will share your feedback with the owner. We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Ostlers. We arrived on Friday evening to find some lights on and the heating on, making it very welcoming and cosy. The property is beautifully furnished with everything you might need. We didn’t use the garden but this is definitely an added bonus for a summer break. All in all, Ostlers was excellent and memorable - I would certainly recommend this property and Burford with everything it has to offer.

Walking into the Ostlers to spend Christmas with gathered family was truly a holiday gift, with lovely decorations, a delicious package of treats, and a beautiful tree creating a cozy atmosphere on our arrival. The kitchen was (fairly) well equipped for preparing and serving large meals, and the house was large enough for a family of four adults to enjoy space together as well as some privacy. The only improvement I would recommend is the mattress in the master bedroom, as the bed was actually uncomfortable. Beautifully designed quality interiors. Scenic town with lovely shops and restaurants is right outside the door and its just a short drive to fresh farm shops, local sites and countryside walks. House was warm and comfortable and we all loved our week-long stay.

Lovely place in a perfect central location for Burford high street. All bedrooms are on the front so do get noise from the main road but the traffic is very limited at night. A couple of things could have done with a little bit more of a clean for my liking but nothing major. Overall, we had a great stay and would 100% book again!
