We had a lovely long weekend at pyatts pad!
Living space is much larger than pictures and the log burner was lovely!
Perfect location for trips out to cotswolds. In walking distance of local pubs and take aways
Despite kitchen being small it is well equipped and was not an issue!
Host left milk, wine and logs for the fire which were much appreciated!
Highly recommend!

Thank you for a lovely stay at Pyatt’s Pad. We felt that so much care, thought and attention had been put into ensuring a really relaxing and enjoyable stay would be had. It’s been a much needed get away. The cottage is clean and cleverly arranged (a tiny but very functional kitchen). The garden is beautiful and well maintained with gorgeous views. The bedrooms were really comfortable although you did need to mind the beams - as would be expected in a cottage this date. The sitting room was cosy and in colder months the fire place would be lovely to have on - great atmosphere. We came back after each day out feeling as though we were coming home. Winchcombe itself is a beautiful Cotswold small town with everything you could need. We had such fun nights out at the local pubs with local people (especially the Plaisteters with Irish landlady Liz) and great meals at a wide choice of places to eat - fab Indian restaurant. We were initially worried about on street parking but it really was not a problem. It was always available and our car was safe where we left it outside the cottage. We are really happy to recommend Pyatt’s Pad as a place to stay for a memorable holiday. Anna and Micheal.

We came from France and really enjoyed our stay.
The place is nice, clean and pleasant to stay (garden with a beautiful view), we liked the location near some beautiful walks in the countryside and the pub.
Wifi works very well, and everything is very detailed in the small book prepared by the owner (for the house and the surroundings). tks for this as we don't know all the UK habits.
Compared to what we use to know in France or Spain, it lacks some kitchen equipment (plates and oil for example). Beware of the beams ! but of course it is understood that it is part of an old house.
However, the mattress is quite old.

Customer service from Staycostwold has been perfect.

pyatts pad is a lovely old cottage. it’s maintained very well, extremely clean, and beautifully decorated. the garden in exceptional- flowers, views, bird song = so peaceful. i began every morning in the garden with a cup of tea and quiet. the upstairs beams are low, and it can be hot at night because only one window opens (bedroom fans would help a lot). parking on the street close to the cottage was easy, and although you’re on a main road it wasn't noisy at all even with the pub across the street (fantastic food and service by the way). tea/coffee and wash up supplies were provided, but no hand-soap (in these days of conscious cleanliness, hand soap in a toilet is a necessity). overall a wonderful stay. i’d love to return without my children so i could enjoy more time in this lovely home and beautiful village.

We spent a week in the cottage. We are all 5’7 and under and the ceilings were still very low. Kitchen far too small to properly cook in for four people and for the size felt very unclean, milk stains in fridge, dishes all needed washing and lots of stains on floor.
Generally cleanliness was ok but felt the property had not been deep cleaned in a while, as skirting boards all around the property were very dirty and we had a lot of dirty stains on socks.
On the plus, living room was cozy and it was lovely that the items within were traditional. Nice also to have additional programmes on the tv, for evening entertainment.
Bedrooms very small but were comfortable. Note, no wardrobes, so you need to keep clothes in your case or try and open draws within rooms.
Parking on road near cottage. People drive extremely fast down this road, so you need to park knowing the risk else walk 10mins to town centre to leave car in the town car park.
Location good for walks, if you like walking, else we got in the car and researched areas to have days out.

This is a characterful 18th century period property and the low ceilings which are described on the website description can be seen on the 3D virtual tour of the property, along with the Kitchen. We will pass your feedback onto the property manager to address the housekeeping issues. If you had been able to contact her during your stay she would have responded immediately to try and rectify your issues. The location of the cottage can be viewed on the location map on the website. Cars can be parked on either side of the road and it is opposite a junction, therefore speeding is impossible on the road outside the cottage. We do hope that you enjoyed your stay in Winchcombe and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Cotswolds soon.

We would definitely book again.

We would definitely book again. Everything in- and outside was as described and the accommodation was very tidy and clean. Perfectly situated in the heart of a wonderful Cotswolds town. Everything we needed was provided and I cannot share that there was much traffic noise. Even though it lies on the main street, we found it pleasantly quiet. There are three beautiful food-serving pubs in walking distance and if You need more kindling and fire wood, there is a shop across the street. The kitchen could provide another pan and bowl, but it was sufficient at any time.

Really cute little cottage. Excellent location. Was great for a quick get away with friends. Winchcombe is a great location for walking or just relaxing.

Very cosy cottage but shame about the road

The cottage itself is extremely cosy. While we couldn’t really use it because of the time of year, the garden is wonderfully extensive and must be amazing in the summer. The log burner is lovely, although we would have appreciated being provided with more than one small basket of logs - we had to lug these back and forth from the supermarket without a car which wasn’t easy. The real downside of the cottage however is the location on a busy road. Not only does it bear the brunt of the cars that regularly race through the village at top speed (presumably ignoring speed restrictions) but it’s also right opposite the junction with another main road and there’s a bus stop outside. All this means that you don’t really get that “countryside feeling” as you live with the constant soundtrack of cars (and their lights). That aside, it’s a lovely little cottage.
