Generally very clean and tidy and well equipped except for:-
Cleanliness:- Dust on back of barn doors.Many cobwebs throughout especially round lounge window which was easy to see.
Customer Service Excellent.
Comfort:- Beds comfy but too high. Lounge sofas very in comfy and in a poor state.
Lack of dressing table meant having to stand to blow dry hair.
Location:- Main bedroom right next to busy road which kept us awake due to noise.
Village green at the side noisy and lack of privacy. Lack of privacy from the glazed hallway. Parking difficult to access due to owners vehicles also we were blocked in on the first morning of our stay by trades vans. I had to ask them to move but this must have been a planned visit and showed little consideration for paying guests.
Would be nice if fencing and rear garden area was finished!
Generally it’s a beautifully appointed Barn/Cottage but lack of privacy, access and road noise spoilt our stay.

We are pleased to read that you found the property to be clean and tidy and well equipped, however we are very disappointed to see that you have only rated the cleaning as 3* based on a few cobwebs. Cobwebs are not a reflection of uncleanliness, they can appear as soon as they have been cleaned away by the housekeeping team. The property owner has informed us that the fencing is currently being repaired as it was blown over in high winds recently and they are undertaking some landscaping work to improve the area. He has reassured us that there are blinds on the windows that overlook the village green and he will be installing voile blinds on the Lounge/dining area patio doors for extra privacy. He apologies that a tradesmen van was in the drive when you arrived, this was easily resolved and moved away very quickly. The property layout is viewable on the virtual tour on the website and the location is viewable on the location map. We hope you will return to the Cotswolds soon.

We had a lovely time at the Corner House Barn. It was a great location for the 5 of us (one baby) to relax and enjoy a break. Also it was close to beautiful villages to explore. Would definitely come back again.

We absolutely loved Corner House Barn. When we arrived, the owner met us and got the keys out of the key safe for us. The property was really spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, while there was a family bathroom for the other bedroom. The living area was a great size and included 2 sofas and a big dining table. The kitchen was open plan to the end of the living area and had absolutely everything we needed. The design of Corner House Barn is contemporary but with plenty of beams and Cotswold stone - it's only about 18 months old and still looks new.
The location of Corner House Barn is excellent and is a short drive from all the places we wanted to visit. The owner was really friendly and helpful.
The only advice we would give anyone is that the easiest way to find the property is to go up the side of the village hall and the property is round the back. There's on site parking for 2 cars which is really helpful

Corner house barn is in a quiet location in a beautiful village in close driving range to all the lovely Cotswolds sights, yet within easy reach of good amenities eg supermarkets. The barn is very clean with great bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen for cooking and comfy beds. We had a lovely short break made even more perfect by the gorgeous weather. We will definitely come again!

The owner welcomed us on arrival, asking us to let him know if we needed anything.
The property was well equipped, spacious, and spotlessly clean.
Ideally located, with a lovely adjacent recreation area, and a friendly local pub, the Chequers, where we had an excellent meal.

Corner House Barn is not a location to go to for a quiet holiday. The property is right next to the main road through Churchill with cars and lorries racing past from 5.00 am to midnight. The village green, whilst very nice, has a ball play area and climbing frame RIGHT BEHIND the property which attracts noise from shouting children and ball bouncing. The village green was mowed twice whilst we were there, and the play area strimmed, further adding to the noise volume. There were also helicopters overhead on a number of occasions. For the property itself, all the curtains have to be pulled in order to watch the television in the main seating area. At night time the outside lights, when set off, light up the main bedroom to daylight levels. The television in the second bedroom flashes on and off in the middle of the night and was therefore not usable. Similarly, the torch in the hallway did the same. The beds are far too high for anyone with a mobility issue and the sofas are uncomfortable. The heating was impossible to work out and on cold days, you would meed a blanket over you whilst sitting in the main seating area. There was no microwave and the check-in time of 5.00pm is too late.
We were also advised by the owner that gypsies may turn up on the village green for the Horse Fair - this worried us unnecessarily and clouded our holiday.

Thank you Teresa for your review of Corner House Barn. We are disappointed to receive your feedback as the property owners cannot be accountable for any noise generated outside the property boundary. As the previous reviews will confirm, no other guests have reported hearing children playing, lawn mowing or helicopters flying being issues during their stays. The property does have large patio doors and windows so on sunny days the sun will flood the property with light which may mean that you will need to close the blinds or curtains so you can see the TV clearly. We do supply every guest with the contact details for the property manager so we are saddened to hear that you did not call to report an issue with the TV in the second bedroom, the torch which is for emergencies in the hallway or issues with using the heating controls. The property listing confirms what appliances and amenities are available and as no microwave is listed, this should not be expected to be at the property. Stow Horse Fair is a one day bi-annual event that has been taking place for over 500years so it should not cause you any worry. We do hope that overall you will be back to stay in the Cotswolds again soon!

House was lovely, well laid out and very clean. View of church across the village green was lovely. We took my mother and father in-law and they loved it too. Christmas tree was a nice touch. Perfect location for Stratford-upon-Avon and Bourton on the Water. Only issue was my mother in law found the bed a bit high to get in and out of but other than that it was perfect.

Corner House Barn is well situated just outside Chipping Norton in the beautiful village of Churchill. Easy to find, good on site parking and facilities (we have debated the lack of a microwave that other reviewers have mentioned here and in the guest book at the property). Great for exploring The Cotswolds. Ate at The Chequers just over the road which was good - very busy so book ahead if you definitely want to go there. Only stayed for a weekend but would consider booking again. My only criticism is that I think the 5pm check-in is very late and would have preferred 3pm especially as it’s not countered by a late check out as that is still a fairly standard 10am. This just makes the cost seem slightly over-priced especially for a weekend stay.

WIFI! I contacted StayCotswold once we realised there was no WiFi device to connect to in the list of WiFi devices in our iPhones, we followed instructions detailed in the information book at the property, and unfortunately staycotswold ignored my last email half way through our holiday so I thought with 2 days left there is little point in stressing about it and causing more of a fuss.
Just thought I’d detail this If you are someone who requires WiFi at the property, for us it wasn’t an issue because we were less distracted by our phones however it was just frustrating as there was no signal at Corner House Barn, (my partner and I are with EE) so calls/streaming became impossible. I had to wait until we had gone out for the day to contact anyone. Not what you want to do when you are trying to enjoy your holiday and have to ring your GP!
Apart from all of that, we could not fault the barn, we would definitely come back, perfect location, everything seemed to be within 20 minutes drive and StayCotswold were really good in the lead up to the stay in terms of information sent on time etc. Such a gorgeous building with luxurious interior - we will definitely be back. Unfortunately we never met the owners but there was a guest book where people had said really lovely things.

Wonderful place to stay providing you have a car as there are no regular transport links and taxis are hard to get and expensive. Having arrived at Kingham Station my husband and I were forced to walk the mile or so to the pub in Kingham (in the rain) as it proved impossible to secure a taxi. Our friends were then able to pick us up later to go to Corner House Barn.
The accommodation was beautiful and the beds in particular were extremely comfortable.
We enjoyed eating twice at The Chequers pub which is only a few minutes walk away and were warmly welcomed. We had morning coffee once and a game of darts.
Churchill is a beautifully kept and quiet village and the barn is adjacent to a large recreation ground, ideal for children to let off steam.
Many lovely Cotswold villages and attractions are within a half an hour drive.

An ideal area to visit the many attractions of the Cotswolds. Corner House Barn was perfect……extremely clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The only thing missing was a microwave which would have been handy. Would definitely return in the future.

Two couples had a wonderful stay at Corner Barn. Very convenient for all we wanted to see in the immediate area of the Cotswolds. The barn was very spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Ample parking for two cars and a wonderful pub just down the road. Had a fabulous stay.

Great find. Comfortable, clean and well positioned.
The little extras were spoiling and useful.

We had a great few days at Corner House Barn, the property is newly built so everything was clean and in great condition. Very well equipped, plenty of space and easy parking. Booking was very easy and staff very helpful.

This was a spontaneous booking just a few days ahead of our trip date and we couldn't have struck any luckier! The Corner House Barn is both beautiful and very comfortable, especially the beds, and makes a good base for exploring The Cotswolds. We met the owners when we arrived, who are lovely and very welcoming, as was their dog! The tea bags, milk & biscuits on arrival were a nice touch too. Apparently, we were only the 2nd people to stay at Corner House Barn as it's fairly newly built so there are a few things that I'm guessing are probably in progress to make stays even more comfortable: the owners have already planted some bushes along the road-side of the barn for screening and I'm guessing will put curtains on the poles in the open-plan living/dining area for more warmth (we stayed in February so a bit chilly). We didn't go to the pub in the village but did try The Plough at Kingham (3 miles down the road), which had a cosy atmosphere and very nice food. StayCotswold were easy to deal with and provided great customer service. We would highly recommend StayCotswold & Corner House Barn to other potential guests and would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Really needed a break from a chaotic period at home and this place was the perfect find!

Barn itself was spotless and so much attention to detail, had everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds, loved the under floor heating and the feature wall was perfect for relaxing of an evening. Plenty of parking for 2 vehicles and there is a car park a few steps away you can use too. Added benefit was the 2 quiet play parks behind the property, kids loved it!

Situated in Churchill which is a stunning little village with beautiful scenery.

Cotswold wildlife park and gardens is a 15/20 minute drive and was brilliant for the kids. Shakespeares birth centre and Tudor world were also our faves in Stratford upon Avon (about 35/40 mins away)

I stayed for most of the week with my 2 children and we done lots of exploring around the area (Stratford on avon, bourton on the water, Kingham - just to name a few!) Found the roads getting around were absolutely fine, couple of smaller lanes but plenty of passing places and very short.

Peter is very kind and helpful! The information folder he created was brilliant too and really helped us find local spots and places to visit.

We ate in a lot with the kids as it was easier but did enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch at the local chequers pub! My advice for restaurants would be to book as far in advance as you can, especially if visiting in peak times.

We were all sad to leave and hope we can return in the near future. If you’re hesitating…don’t! You won’t regret it.
