Willows House is a beautiful detached holiday home which boasts stylish interiors, spacious living areas with bespoke furniture and stunning character features, and a large landscape garden, complete with outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue. Located in the heart of Lower Swell, this fabulous property is perfectly situated to explore the Cotswolds on foot or be only a short drive from famous Cotswold hot spots.

On the whole a good experience, however one of our party was uncomfortable in the downstairs bedroom due to excessive noise from the boiler, which we were unable to switch off overnight!

We had a lovely say at Willows House. It is a spacious 4/5 bedroom property well located for exploring the Cotswolds.

The property is showing some signs of wear and tear (some stains on the upstairs carpets and the bathrooms are looking a bit tired) but is on the whole very pleasant and well equipped.

The major criticism is the water pressure at the kitchen taps and in the bathrooms which is mentioned in other reviews.

Beautiful house set in lovely surroundings and close to a Tesco and organic food vending machine really handy.
Loved the layout and kitchen and artwork.
Kitchen had everything you would ever need. Log fire was super nice too !!
Only issue we had was with water pressure in sinks.

The house was really comfortable for our family (me + husband, 3 yo, 5 yo, grandma + grandpa). It was spacious, the kitchen was organized well and the garden is beautiful (though watch out for the nettles and thistles!) The town is exactly what you'd hope for in the Cotswolds, and great proximity to Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, and more.
Our main complain is that we were surprised that it was missing some basics, like there was no shampoo/conditioner, one roll of TP per bathroom, and one roll of paper towels.

The property was spacious, the kitchen was organised and the garden is beautiful. It is within close proximity to Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and many other Cotswolds attractions. As this is a self catering property the owner does not supply shampoo or conditioner and a starter pack of 1-2 toilet rolls per bathroom is provided. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Cotswolds soon.

Overall my family really enjoyed our stay at Willows house. It felt very homely and the layout was perfect. Location in Lower Swell was great, really nice local pub and close to shops in Stow. Our only criticism would be of some of the amenities supplied. The pots/pans etc were quite old and not suitable for cooking for a large family.

We stayed as a group of 2 families and had a great time at The Willows House. The layout and bedrooms are perfect for 2 families, there is lots of living space and a great sized kitchen and dining space with all the amenities you would expect and need. Lovely village and a great location for all the local sites. One day we followed the footpath across farm land to Stow-On-the-Wold. Was an excellent and beautiful walk with a great pub lunch in the middle.
The house could do with some general maintenance (curtain polls barely hanging on) and a good clean especially looking for cobwebs. Very easy to book through Stay Cotswold. Thank you

Great place for a weekend stay in a quiet village outside Stow-on-the Wold. Kitchen very well equipped and worked well for a party of 9. 2 very good sized en-suite bedrooms and the other 2 are a bit smaller but the main bathroom is very nice. We found it very handy that you had several different areas (2 lounge areas) so no-one felt cramped. We struggled with the heating at first but the property management company were quick to answer my calls and everything worked out perfectly. A great stay with lots of parking space as well.

Absolutely fantastic property in a great location in order to visit all the villages around the cotswolds. Everything you would need was caterer for which was great. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The Willows House in Lower Swell was the perfect home for our family of four and another family of five to spend a week. The home is charming, well appointed, and very comfortable. The location, just outside of Stow-On-The-Wold makes for easy day trips to nearby towns, while the public footpaths provide for delightful walks to the neighboring villages or Lower and Upper Slaughter, Stow, and beyond. The booking was very easy and the rental agency provided good and timely communication. We would stay here again!

Willows House is a beautiful property in a stunning location, but unfortunately maintenance and cleaning of the property left a lot to be desired. There were cobwebs in the bathrooms, the paintwork was marked and the carpets were stained. It was clear this was a house used to provide an income, not a treasured property. In other less potentially spectacular holiday properties we have visited care was taken to make your stay a home from home, but this was lacking at Willows House, which was a great shame.

We are sorry that the housekeepers appear to have missed the cobwebs in the bathroom. Sadly, carpets and paint work do sustain the most damage in a holiday let. The hard -wearing carpet is unfortunately made of natural material so is unable to be cleaned. We have passed on your feedback to the property owner and manager for them to review and implement any appropriate actions for the benefit of future guests. The owners have confirmed that they will replace the carpet in the living room and end bedroom following your feedback.

Such a lovely place - wonderful touches as there was a bottle of wine for us on the table. And there was even a little candle holder with an L on! Such a happy vibe to the place, the sun shone and the birds sang. We had trouble with putting the heating on, but the guy we could contact was also great - helped out showed me how to sort it and was very friendly. Wonderful place highly recommend!

My friends and I booked to stay at Willows House for a girls weekend away - it was fantastic and just what we were looking for! The house was the perfect size for a group of 10 - plenty of space and seating areas so you were not on top of each other moving around. A short 5 minute drive from Stow-on-the-wold and beautiful surrounding areas for walks. The house was incredibly clean and the beds were super comfy. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again soon!
