Had a lovely stay at Middle Barn for a couple of nights in March for Mothers Day. Comfortably slept 5 adults and a baby. Had everything we needed (apart from a corkscrew!). Would stay again.

Great location, but a little tricky to find initially so instructions provided were useful.
Easy booking process and savings were worth it going directly with the agent, rather than via Airbnb which is what we found it on originally.
Good information provided on local amenities and the property is kept very clean and in good condition on the whole.
Noticed the property itself is actually up for sale via a local estate agent - whether this will affect future rentals I’m not sure.
Heating timer seemed a bit random (got very hot at night so often had to turn off).
Would definitely recommend staying again in the future though as ticked all the boxes for what we wanted and liked the extra free night thrown in as well.

Lovely cottage but EV charging didn't work

This is a lovely, well appointed and located cottage. Unfortunately the let down was the lack of instructions for the EV charger and a complete failure of the property manager to respond to 2 requests for information/help.

I sent an email request I sent several weeks before our stay for information on the cable type needed (FYI it turned out to need a Type 2 cable). I also left a voicemail on our first morning in the cottage asking for instruction on how to get it to actually start charging. I ended up contacting the maker of the charger who suggested a suitable app to download but the app couldn't "find" the charger. I suspect it hasn't been set up properly. This meant I had to spend several hours away from my friends and family while I recharged my car at other local public charging points. Since we chose this cottage over other options specifically because it advertised as having onsite EV charging this was a big disappointment.

So I won't be staying there again but it would still suit groups who don't want onsite EV charging.

We've just returned from a fantastic weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Middle Barn. I've nothing but positive feedback and would return here in a heartbeat. It was spotlessly clean and had all you need for your stay with the added bonus of being right in the centre of Chipping Norton. We will definitely return.

Our stay at Middle Barn was wonderful. It is stylish, well designed, spacious but at the same time cosy, thanks to toastie underfloor heating downstairs. Really good value for money too! The location is perfect for visiting many Cotswold villages and NT properties. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
