Superb cottage quiet location very family friendly although the pool was not as spotless as the cottage which was a real shame and put us off using it. We felt the pool and pool area (sauna too) needed updating as well as a thorough deep clean, unfortunately we didn’t manage to see Simon to say in person before we left. One of our reasons for choosing South Coombe was the pool… The games room had plenty to keep our teens entertained, however, which gave them a change of scenery and opportunity to pit themselves against each other! Orchard cottage and the whole complex certainly lived up to our expectations. We visited during a wet rainy week at the beginning of August and the facilities meant that we were never short of things to do. Our grandaughter loved the animals especially the hens and also made full use of the childrens playroom which was ideal for a 3 year old. The swimming pool system of allocated slots worked well and the games room was well used too. We came here for a long overdue spot of R & R with the dog and had the most fantastic weekend. Wonderfully appointed and furnished cottage with everything you could ever want in it. All the other cottages look similarly excellent. Simon was really welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. The indoor pool complex is unbelievable and another brilliant reason to stay here. Finally, I recommend that you visit the Mitre Inn in Witheridge (20 minute walk) for a delicious Sunday roast
We had a lovely 3 days stay and enjoyed the local pub. Comfy beds and a real home from home. Simon was very friendly and helpful.
