We have loved our time at the the reading rooms, a beautiful and cosy cottage, all on one level. Kitchen was very well equipped. Wood supplied for the wood burner. Situated in a small quiet hamlet The garden sits right next to the beck, & Sheep grazing on the hill sides. There was a well thought out welcome pack for us and one for the dogs. Although they did fight over the ball! We ventured out every day. There is so much to see and do. We visited Malham tarn. Hawes is close by for any supplies and we loved just having wonder past the shops. There are walks from here also. Hardraw is close b...more
This was our first time at Oughtershaw Hall and we had an amazing time. The home is absolutely stunning with spacious rooms to accommodate everyone. Its a grand space with a cozy atmosphere. The team that look after the property are friendly and helpful. The house has amazing grounds which can be enjoyed all year round. If your looking for some where special to make happy memories Oughtershaw will not disappoint!
We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Perfectly situated to explore the beautiful Northumberland coast line. The cottage is very comfortable, fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard.
This was our fourth stay at Middlerigg - we just love it. Despite the less than optimal weather we had a fantastic time doing some things we'd not been able to do before including a trip to Inner Farne at the start of the nesting season to see thousands of puffins, gannets, and kittiwakes and some grey seals. We walked to The Ship Inn at Low Newton from the house (get there before 12 if you don't want to queue for a table) and visited The Jolly Fisherman at least once every day. Middlerigg is one of our 'happy places', very much needed just now, and we're already looking forward to our next vi...more
We had the most wonderful holiday in this fantastic house. The house is so well designed, all new and with every amenity you could wish for as a guest. We were a party of seven adults and the availability of plenty of bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms was ideal. The sitting rooms provided fabulous views over the sea for sunrises and dolphin/porpoise spotting. The kitchen was the best equipped of any house we have ever stayed in - even having two dishwashers....what luxury! Plenty of big pots and pans to cater for many hungry adults along with copious amounts of cutlery, crockery and g...more
Harbourway is definitely the best holiday house we have stayed in and we are regular visitors to Northumberland. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Craster is a great base to explore different locations. We had a great walk to the castle and onto Embleton. We will definitely be back
The house was very well appointed which suited our family who are into cooking. Beds were comfortable and the house was warm. Great location as it was quiet but still close to shop and restaurant and walking paths. Communicating with the hosts was easy and they were responsive to our needs.
