Bright, airy, a family home. Perfect for friends and family to eat, relax and play. Enclosed garden of two-thirds of an acre. The National Park surrounds you. The village shop is super cute. Walk and bike for miles. The coast is 3 miles away. Dogs welcome

We stayed for a long weekend with our elderly parents and had a really enjoyable time. The house was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and had eveything we needed to enjoy our time there.

An excellent venue for our family holiday. The owners were very welcoming and the house was well presented. It was homely and comfortable. Beautiful village with an excellent pub/restaurant and a nice village shop. Would definitely book again.

A perfect spacious setting for New Forest and Solent lovers.
Comfortably and homely furnishings with every modern facility, with a quaint village shop and excellent restaurant not far away.
We had a lovely time.

A very comfortable and spacious home in a quiet location. Suitable for all ages with bedrooms and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs.

A large and characterful, comfy house with spacious rooms, lots of relaxing sofas and armchairs and three bathrooms! Well equipped kitchen. Wonderful large patio with table and parasol just a step from the kitchen/dining area and an another patio with table and chairs at side of house. Lovely wrap-around lawn.
Ideal location with high quality gastro pub (Fleur de Lys) and local community shop just a few hundred yards walk from house and locals pub (Boldre Club) even closer!
Short walk to huge New Forest lawn and ponies with Beaulieu Heath beyond, yet only 10 min drive to Lymington. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As soon as we entered the door at 'Forest Edge' we felt at home.
We loved it.
It is spotlessly clean, spacious, very comfortable and homely.
The house is very well equipped with everything you would need on a holiday.
The Football Table provided endless entertainment for us all and the Playroom for the children in our party was just brilliant.
The garden was superb and the view from the garden gate over the Village Green was hugely popular as there was a constant stream of gorgeous ponies which the children in our party, indeed all of us, found fascinating.
The location of 'Forest Edge' is wonderful. It is an excellent base for exploring the New Forest.
There are lots of walks and cycle rides from the doorstep.
The beach is not far and the beautiful towns of Beaulieu and Lyndhurst are very close. There are many excellent pubs within a short distance.
We briefly met the owners, Stephen and Louise who could not have been kinder and more helpful.
They are lovely people.
We were very sad to leave but will hopefully return one day.
In short we would highly recommend 'Forest Edge' and are sure that you will have just as much fun as we did.

Brochure description is accurate about this property. This is a family home rather than the normal rental - We had four generations & it fitted us all in perfectly.
We contacted the company about something minor & the Owner contacted us immediately & it was sorted without any fuss.
Couple of points, like any family home things need to be upgraded from time to time & I feel the kitchen crockery needs a look at- it was difficult to find a plate without a chip or crack in it-
Windows -quite a few have blown & would benefit from being sorted.
Overall we had a lovely stay in a lovely part of the country-thank you

A family of 3 generations had a fantastic week away at Forest Edge, helped by the amazing weather! Lovely, welcoming family home and garden in a perfect location. Great for walks straight onto the National Park, excellent food at the very local Fleur De Lys Pub and close to amenities of Lymington. We spent days on the beaches at Milton On Sea & Barton on Sea, both within 25 minutes drives & not use at all in mid July.
The house was very well equipped & had everything we needed for an enjoyable staycation. The football table a particular hit in our family..its now on the birthday lists!

The house was damp and very dated. It felt extremely overpriced. The upstairs bathroom has not been updated in 20 years and the hob is faulty and doesn’t work properly. The sofas also had lots of stains on them.

If we had been contacted while you were staying we would have visited immediately to work out a solution if there were issues with the house. We are surprised by your comments as we have not had this feedback before from previous guests who have been happy. We try to be transparant in our 'home truths' section of our website about anything our guests should be aware of, such as dated but sparkly clean bathrooms and so on. We are sorry this was not the right house for you and hope you still made the most of your stay and enjoyed the beautiful location.

A lovely property set in a quiet village. The house had a real homely feel to it and felt warm and cosy in the evenings. The garden back onto a fields where horses are kept which adds to the feeling of being secluded.
Lovely home and well worth a stay! we will definitely be back

We had a lovely stay at Forest Edge with the family! The house is perfect, really spacious and a lovely garden to enjoy when the sun is shining! The house was clean and tidy and had all the bits and pieces you need to cook etc. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the beautiful New Forest!
