During our stay the downstairs toilet broke but it fixed very quickly. The plumber and cleaning person were very friendly. All was good. Our second visit was a good as the first. (Suggestion: the pillows were a bit lumpy in the room with the two singles made up as a king zip an link).

This house was in a great central location and was very modern and clean.
The kitchen/diner was small - it really seated 4 well, but would struggle with the 6 the house can sleep.
The lock box instructions we received were also not correct as to how the lock box opened causing some frustration arriving in darkness and struggling to open it.

Just returned from a fabulous stay at Number Two with three generations of family including my 80+ year old mum. The location is absolutely fantastic being a very short walk to the high street which includes lots of interesting shops and a Saturday market; plenty to browse during our stay away.
The cottage is extremely well equipped; from enough sofa space to seat everyone to every kitchen utensil you could wish for. The beds are incredibly comfortable and there are plenty of loos to go round!
All the necessities are provided for: washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. A simple thing but allows you to be up and running within minutes of arriving without needing to go out and purchase loads of basic items.
The communication from New Forest Escapes was very clear and helpful. I would definitely look to book with them again as I was so impressed with both the standard of the cottage and the ease of booking. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay and the property was clean and comfortable. Well equipped and thoughtfully set up. Only little criticism was the top floor shower plug hole needs unblocking, the shower tray got full fairly quickly which we had to have quick showers. Overall very good property.

Thank you so much for a wonderful Holiday! The location was great, so near to the High Street, shops restaurants and cafes. Some lovely walks by the .Marina and lovely boat trips.
The accomodation was lovely, spotlessly clean with so many lovely touches. We all enjoyed the games and the courtyard garden was really nice. I really think the owners had thought of everything. The lemon drizzle was lovely it really was the icing on the Cake!!
I would also like to mention the lovely staff at New Forest Escapes, so kind each time I called and some very useful information in your emails. We really enjoyed Lanes of Lymington on our last night. Thank you again for a truly wonderful Family Holiday!

We had a good holiday with our grand children, great base for visiting the new forest. But not able to get our large car up to the property and car port. Car had to be moved between nearby car parks using the 'parking clock' supplied.

The house was in a excellent spot, easy walking distance to all pubs and amenities, after reading a review about the cleanliness we were worried, but the house was clean and spotless, everything you may need was in the house well stocked kitchen even to a cake and some milk.

Couldn’t believe the value for money. Such a great property in a brilliant location. 3 beds 3 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet! Perfect for a weekend break. 3 generations grandparents, parents and granddaughter all got along famously. Would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely stay again. X

No 2 is very well located just minutes from the High Street where there are numerous shops, restaurants and cafes. Despite this it is very quiet with no noise from roads or pedestrians. The house has 3 good sized bedrooms and the kitchen is particularly well equipped- overall level of maintenance is good. We used the local bus service whilst there and that meant we could do linear walks - really useful addition to our stay - the Solent Way long distance path runs through Lymington so it was a perfect location for us.
The customer service from New Forest Escapes was excellent.

This was the third time we have stayed at Number 2. Overall, it is a nice home and perfect for having three or slightly more guests. The location is excellent - close to our favourite things (the Solent, the High Street, the New Forest, the rail station, etc.). While a lovely home and holiday stay, we did notice the house needs a little TLC (tender loving care) as a few relatively minor, but noticeable, things need to be addressed. In short, the unit is starting to show its age. Two notes of caution to future users of Number 2 (both of which we were very aware of): 1) there are stairs, and they can be steep, especially for someone using the top floor bed/en suite; 2) the parking is very tight..., one has to maneuver very carefully into the parking spot.

But overall, Number 2 is nice, comfortable and very convenient for those wishing to be in the centre of Lymington!

Super little modern middle terraced house with wecoming sheltered patio terrace and table. Walking distance from the town centre and supermarkets. Parking is very tight to get into and I glad we came in our smaller car. Only issue we had was turning the 1/F shower on otherwise a nice stay.

Second time staying at this property because it is in a brilliant location and the kitchen is really well appointed but, sadly, I doubt we will be returning again.
1) The feedback we gave last year clearly has not been taken on board.
2) I'm on holiday and COVID restrictions have been lifted. I don't want to have to worry about emptying bins and stripping beds on my last day. That's what you pay a cleaning company for!
3) On arrival - I had to phone the management company - whose number I pretty much had to guess because no one had refreshed the chalk on the information board - to let them know the place was filthy! So, guests are expected to strip beds, empty bins, clear cupboards and vacate by 10am to allow the cleaners 6 hours to do what? Make the beds? The blanket on the sofa was dusty, the mirror was so dirty I actually struggled to see in it! The bathroom floors were hairy and dusty, the kitchen chairs were grimy, the kitchen itself had food debris behind every appliance I moved, the bedding had what looked like mould marks on it...I could go on!
4) 3 people staying at the property and there were only two sets of towels so I had to hunt around the house for more towels.
5) The garden is depressing! Get rid of the weedy plants and the dilapidated shed/storage thing! Paint the furniture, jet wash the stones and brighten the place up a bit!
6) Give the place a proper paint job. Skirting boards are looking scuffed and magnolia is no longer trendy. Oh, and the telephone box sticker in the hallway is peeling off.

No 2 is a fantastic house. Very central for the high street and amazingly quiet. The house was well equipped and clean for our arrival. I am very fussy but everything about this house was great. We all enjoyed our stay.

The location of this property is perfect! The kitchen is brilliantly appointed meaning family meals were no hassle to prepare. Lounge was perfect for kicking back and relaxing, the smart TV makes all the difference!

A few niggles:
Firstly, the bin situation is a joke! I'm on holiday, I don't expect to be chasing down information about bins and bin collections. Bringing the bins in from the road and then putting them out as well!

Please cheer up the outside seating - Replace or paint the rotting shed in the corner, pull up the tiny plants/weeds, paint or replace the table and provide an umbrella/rain cover just as the property next door has. The weather was amazing but the outside space was not actually as inviting as the pictures portray. I had to purchase a table cloth, tea lights and fairy lights to allow us to sit out and enjoy it a bit more.

There were far more handy amenities in the property that we were not told about. Great that the house is so well appointed but can you let people know beforehand. For example:
- Two highchairs/booster seats. No need to bring our booster seat with us then!
- A huge Dyson fan in the loft space. Thank goodness because it reached 28 degrees up there! And, again no need to bring our own!
- Two step stools for little people to go to the toilet. No need to bring the potties with us!

The linen in the 'kids' room needs replacing. Even though it was clean, it didn't feel it and the style is not in keeping with the rest of the property.

Door handles and doors need some attention as some doors didn't close properly or the handles were loose. Extractor fan in the main bathroom wasn't working and some lights were out throughout the house.

However! We will definitely be returning. The house is too conveniently located and well appointed for us to go anywhere else for a family holiday now!

This property is in a great location right next to the high street in Lymington. The property has great bedroom/bathroom facilities and was very clean when we arrived. The property however is very overlooked so very little privacy especially in the garden. The property is reasonably well equipped but would benefit from some additional plates and bowls. At the moment you need to run the dishwasher twice in a day if you have more than one meal in the property. The property is also quite cluttered with extra furniture and decorative items which could be reduced. This would help the property to feel more spacious.

We are a family of 4 with two young children (4 and 1 year old) and the house was perfect for us. There were some toys available for the kids in the living room, the kitchen had everything we needed and the house was very clean when we arrived.
In terms of location, it is very close to the high street and a short walk to the quay with the small shops/pubs. It is also a short drive to the sea which was really nice for us since the weather was quite nice.
It is also perfectly located for all the main activities in the New Forest (activity farm, deer watching, zoo...) which you can all reach with a 30min drive.
Very pleased overall!

We stayed at number two for a few days with our two daughters (6 and 9) and we all absolutely loved it!! It was really imaculate, perfectly kitted out and lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family meals. My daughter took over the lovely loft room and felt so grown up! the location is great as a base to explore the area. We did quite a bit of crabbing in Lymington! We would be very happy to stay there again.

I stayed in the Lovely Number Two with my family for a few days to explore the town and New Forest. It was very comfortable and we loved the well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and all rooms had plenty of storage space for clothes. It is right in the centre of Lymington with some lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. Highly recommend
