Clachnaben sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with an ensuite shower room plus full bathroom. The beautiful open plan kitchen/living/dining room has patio doors opening onto a covered deck.

Well located, clean and good value.

This is a lovely lodge, clean and well located for the area. The only downside with a family of four was patchy wifi (something working off the mobile signal rather than a landline might be better).

Lovely lodge & great area, it would have been even better if weather was better so children could play outside so next time we will come up in the summer
Warm enough & plenty of space & owners were brilliant & checked in with us
Lovely decor inside
Would recommend these lodges to everyone & will deffo stay again

Thank you for a lovely stay. 6 of us stayed at the lodge and it worked really well for us. The lodge was spotless and a great base to visit our family across Aberdeenshire. Lots of birds and we even spotted a dear out of the window too. One word of warning, our satnav took us across the Cairn O Mount to get there. This is a very twisty, high mountain road. It would be a beautiful drive if this is your thing, but we found it a bit too much for us in our van so we had to turn around and came via Stonehaven instead. Not a problem at all, just worth knowing if you don't have a head for heights or are travelling in the winter . Thank you to Ursula for a lovely stay, we'd definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Perfect rural retreat in the breathtaking Aberdeenshire country side. Plenty of things to do within a short drive, taxis aren't to expensive to local destinations. Owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful

Great lodge near Banchory, with lots of nice places to visit. The lodge was very clean, warm and comfortable. There are two lodges so we arranged to go with friends and rent both. Our hosts were excellent - friendly and happy to tell us about the local area, things to do and places to go. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

We stayed as a group of 6 and had a great stay, was perfect for us, was an ideal location for travelling around the area.

As stated, not as advertised. The virtual tour was misleading - had the correct view of the outside been available I would certainly not have booked. It is a shame that this once charming and characterful facility has been reduced to this sad state.

A beautiful lodge with amazing detail and amenities. From the lovely flowers on the kitchen table to the welcome basket and sweet pot plants outside made this adorable Lodge very welcoming. I will definitely be back. Thank you for making my daughter's wedding weekend a beautiful memory. X

A really nice lodge in a quiet location.
Well equipped and comfortable with very nice furniture and furnishings. Outside was lovely too and we enjoyed having a barbecue and then eating out on the decking.
Very comfy beds. The third bedroom has bunks which might not suit everyone. Lovely hot shower in en-suite.
The welcome pack was lovely with some very tasty treats but the inclusion of a few teabags and a small carton of milk would have been welcomed.
We found a child’s sock under a rug which suggested to us that cleaning, particularly in Covid times, was not as rigorous as it should have been. Having said that, the lodge did otherwise appear to be spotless, so we thought the sock had possibly stuck to the underside of the rug and that was why it was missed.
Our grandchild loved the play area but there were nettles under the slide which should have been cut back. I did actually get stung trying to knock them back to prevent her getting stung. It was lovely to have the play area though and our granddaughter keeps taking about it! She wants to come back!
We really, really enjoyed our stay in this very lovely lodge and hope to come again soon.
