lovely bright and airy space, clean and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Well equipped - would stay again!
What a gorgeous place to stay! The house is beautifully fitted out and feels comfortably luxurious. You feel like you're in a hotel, but with all the advantages of self-catering. It's a fantastic location too - just a short stroll down to the lovely harbour front and town, yet it's incredibly peaceful and quiet at night., so we slept really well. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. There are two gorgeous sitting rooms, and we also loved sitting outside to eat in the walled garden. Stunning!
Halcyon house was in a great location for the north Norfolk coastline. The house was very clean and well set up for pets. Great facilities. Would definitely come again
Wow! What absolute stunning cottage. Really well equipped in such beautiful surroundings, the garden reminded us of ‘The Secret Garden’ we loved the garden and its views beyond so much. Extremely comfortable beds, beautifully clean rooms and a real home from home feel made our stay extremely enjoyable.
The house was very clean, tidy and in good condition. Great view from the 1st floor living area. Had deer visiting the pond on most days. Convenient location for all amenities that Wells has to offer. Really enjoyed our stay there.
Beautiful little hideaway in a charming village setting. Only negative comment is that the sofa is not very comfortable but a minor issue. Local pub, The Red Lion, were very welcoming and the food excellent. Carol singing on Christmas Eve was lovely. Christmas tree set up in the cottage was a thoughtful touch, as well as the wood burner set and ready to be fired up. Would we visit again……yes definitely.
Lovely relaxing week even though weather turned cooler. Cottage very clean and comfortable. Arrival instructions were clear (although we have stayed previously so know set up). Great to have dedicated parking space in Blakeney. Kitchen very well equipped although didn’t cook much as so many lovely places to eat locally. Lots to do in area. Will be back in future
For our five night stay at Honey Barrel Cottage in Stiffkey, we were extremely pleased with our choice of accommodation and its location in a beautiful part of North Norfolk. The cottage certainly lived up to our expectations, both in its quaintness and character, being typical of the area. The accommodation was very clean and provided all the provisions one would need when self catering; there was even basic food stuffs and complementary milk and biscuits. A very cosy place to stay, set within a courtyard surrounded by other individual flint cottages, this was perfect to soak up the atmospher...more
Very quiet cottage in lovely spot. Stiffkey stores and Red Lion within walking distance and worth a visit. Cottage garden beautiful. Many places of interest nearby to visit. Front room not enough lights - very hard to read, especially if eyesight poor, and lamp wasn't working. Small bedroom would benefit from chest of drawers rather than large table and chair There was no visitor comment book that we could find which is always useful to see others suggestions Limited info on walks in area
Stayed there for a month , due to work on my flat . Nice quiet area . Really nice place rooms nice and big… comfortable beds a sofa , loved the walk in shower . Kitchen has everything you need . Garden looked nice also . The only annoying bit I found was working the heating … all in all was a lovely place to stay would definitely recommend…
This is a super little cottage which is well appointed, clean and cosy. The welcome gift was super, the jam is delicious….so was the cordial. Nice touch. Good communication from the hosts. The stairs are steep! They tell you this but it was still amusing to find out! Shower was great. We slept well too. Overall we had a fab time. The well appointed kitchen with tin foil, cling film, lots of tea towels was super, nice change from having to buy them. We hope to return to this or one of the other cottages on site. Can we recommend the Wheatsheaf pub for Sunday lunch. New community own...more
We had a lovely stay in Butterfly Barn, helped enormously by the beautiful weather! We really enjoyed the location. It was very peaceful but close to everything we wanted. The service from Norfolk Stay was excellent. The barn was very clean, well equipped but felt a bit tired and unloved. A few little extra touches would have made our stay feel a bit more special. We will definitely come back to Norfolk and will book with Norfolk Stay but we won’t come back to Butterfly Barn.
Wash House is a lovely place to stay. It is extremely spacious and comfortable. It is a great base for exploring the beautiful Norfolk Coast but in a very peaceful location in the countryside.
This cosy cottage was perfect for 2adults and our dog, not far from lovely beach walks, restaurant’s food shopping etc, bathrooms are lovely handy one downstairs small kitchen but nice I would recommend a short break here.
We had a great stay at William’s Barn. The facilities were brilliant. The barn is so spacious and has more than enough room for 10 people. The garden is so well kept and is huge, great for dogs. The only thing I would say is the attention to detail with cleaning could have been slightly better, the kitchen cupboards were a little dirty with crumbs in and behind the sofa needed a good hoover.
Tranquil setting, beautiful buildings & lovely secure garden. Interiors are tired & in need of full refurbishment. Would have been nice to have a clear map showing foot paths etc accessible from the barns. Children’s play area was closed which was very disappointing (& no prior warning).
The location was excellent. The ground floor was perfect, the bedrooms a little small, could do with a comfort touches, linen was good. kitchen well equipped but the cooker could have done with a good clean.
We had a very enjoyable week, electric heating provided ample warmth, well equipped kitchen, great garden.
Excellent location for touring the area, although the property does back on to the main coastal road. Very nice and cosy cottage which is well equipped. Mattresses in both bedrooms not comfortable for a good sleep and do need replacing. Lighting in the bathroom could do to be brighter. Very enjoyable stay.
The location of this place is excellent- it’s got a pub nearly next door, a lovely shop and is a few minutes drive from Wells and various other beaches. We thought the cleanliness wasn’t great- my mum arrived and re hoovered various places as it seemed like it hadn’t had a proper clean in a while. We had taken our own pillows and left them on the floor next to the bed and they looked dirty from just sitting on the floor. The house is very well thought out in various ways- outside is a bbq, crab buckets and lines, buckets and spades. There are a few games and a dvd player but sadly no ca...more
This was our 10th stay at this property and over the last few stays standards have dropped. This property is looking tired. The worktops are peeling, the sofa and chair are really uncomfortable,we had to put pillows n to sit on to get a certain degree of comfort. There is no rug on the floor which makes it cold..It needs a chest of drawers in the main bedroom. The hot water is scalding hot, a worry for any child that puts their hands under the tap.The cold tap in the kitchen had a constant drip, which was reported. The step down to the outside was dangerous for anyone with limited mobility,it needs r...more
Very enjoyable stay at this lovely property. Very comfortable and clean and well presented with a lovely gift on arrival. Surprised that we were expected to empty bins and strip beds - haven’t come across that before. Also the shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom needs to drop to the floor as when someone showers the whole floor gets wet (which is ok for a wet room, but not when it’s the main bathroom). But they didn’t detract from a good experience.
We really enjoyed our holiday in Norfolk staying in Rose Cottage. We loved the location, the garden, the comfy bed and having two bathrooms. The cottage was well equipped and clean. We were slightly concerned about parking right on the road and would not have wanted to get children in and out of the car. Useful feedback to owners/managers - the seal around kitchen sink plug has perished meaning sink won't hold water. Needs replacement or provide washing up bowl. Garden shrubs and hedges were very overgrown and untidy. The garden would be amazing with a bit of a tidy up. Some fencing damage a...more
Great location to explore the north Norfolk coast and just a few miles from the pretty village of Holt. Nice enclosed garden at the ‘back’, secure for the dog . Ideal having a downstair Bedroom and shower room for my less mobile in law’s. Although kitchen quite small in comparison to the rest of the barn, it was very well equipped. The Wheatsheaf in the next village (less than 0.5 mile walk) was very good and catered well for those in the group with gluten free requirements. Would return if staying in the area again.
Loved staying here in most respects. Brilliant location with excellent pub and shop next door! Cottage was clean but decor and furnishings only adequate. Kitchen needs updating - oven and fridge in poor condition. Value for money only average - I guess £1k/week is going rate for North Norfolk now (unfortunately). The location trumps most things though and we had a great week.
We have stayed at April Cottage twice this year the first being in March my only criticism then was that a handrail would be good for the shower area in the bath. I was pleased to see that one had been installed upon our arrival for our latest stay. The Cottage has everything you need for your base in North Norfolk. Comfortable, quiet with plenty of room for 3 or 4 adults. It's well equipped and there is a decent pub within a short walk. Fakenham is only 10 minutes away where you will find a large Tesco for all your needs.
