1902ish Building. Two bedrooms & very roomy. Oozes class. Everything works Great. Switches & Timers on Demand Hot Water a little confusing but we figured it out. It was (as normal) in the 50s (F) teens (C) & rainy & windy. Utilities in Scotland are high so don’t expect instant indoor climate change. The room heat is high efficiency electric radiators so remember that not only the air must warm, so must the walls furniture, beds etc. before indoor life changes. Timers shut it down in 3 hours or so. Mobility challenged Folks beware. There are 3-4 flights of stairs (depending on how you count...more
We had a very nice stay at the townhouse. We loves the living and dining area, the kitchen is perfextly equipped. We just stayed for 2 nights...
Booked this cottage mainly because of its location , so we were more than happy when we arrived at how lovely it was inside. It has everything you need for a stay in wet and windy Fort William. The owners were on hand if we needed anything and there was a sweet treat of shortbread waiting on our arrival. If we are in the area again we will be back, we’ve already passed on the name of the cottage to friends.
Moved here after another property in town didn't work out, and very glad we did. Wasn't sure initially about the distance from the town, but turned out to be a nice short walk, and right past Morrisons which was really handy! Very comfortable, spacious and warm home with everything you need, and parking is always a huge bonus.
A fabulous cottage perfect for exploring Fort William and Ben Nevis. Added bonus of hot tub. Just what we needed
We loved our stay here. Plenty of room for 5 adults. Only issue we had was a blown fuse for the hot water, but company offered us a refund for it. All in all, a wonderful base to stay at to enjoy the Scottish highlands.
We stayed for three nights in this holiday cottage. It was clean and comfortable, and it had all the facilities we wanted - fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. It is in a good location for visiting lots of scenic places. We enjoyed our stay.
This place is great. Spacious yet cosy, Clean, tidy, useable, welcoming, warm and very well equipped. Ideal for a group of outdoorsy friends from uni to reunite or two families to holiday together. Or even one family with both sets of grandparents if you’re that lucky and they get on well enough. The surroundings are quite frankly why we were given senses! The wiggly drive in off the main road through Laggan is perfect for Dad to (safely, respectfully and within the speed limit) pretend to be a Wrc champ while the kids pretend he’s Postman Pat. The air is so fresh and clear, the ...more
A lovely little cottage which was clean and well maintained. The host was lovely and the location was perfect.
Cottage was excellent and the beds comfy very clean on arrival with good facilities for a self contained holiday. Highlight was the seclusion. About a mile and a half from Spean bridge with no major roads and easy access to the forest meant that we could let our child out to roam free and explore. A lovely family break and very peaceful.
Cozy, neat and tidy place which, alongside with the mountain views and the Great Glen Way river walk, made me feel at home all the time. Loved the kitchen modern design with a mountain-inspired look that feels fresh. Nothing’s missing there. Sun-filled living room that made me feel cozy and relaxed. Enjoyed the books and the TV films. Absolute cleanlinesses.
Perfectly located away for a quiet retreat in Scotland. Close enough to town when required. Lovely fire to keep warm.
Very clean with all you need to have a pleasant stay, nice and quiet, great view 10 minute drive from town centre.
Very comfortable stay with excellent facilities and a great base for a trip to Mull. Plenty of nice places to eat too.
Within 15 mins walking distance of both station and town centre meaning not needing to use the car all the time. Being at the top of the building meant a great view of the surrounding area including the Jacobite steam train, the main reason for choosing this accommodation. Only thing on the downside is the amount of stairs to get to the accommodation though this is to be expected. As there is normally 2 of us unlikely to stay here again but ideal for a 2 couples with no issue with walking the number of stairs to get in and have no problem sharing a bathroom.
A cosy apartment brilliantly located on the harbour in Tobermory. Quite well equipped kitchen, comfy bed
3 days spent at the pod and had a lovely time. Uninterrupted views over the road to Loch Shiel right from the sofa were an added bonus. Pod well equipped with good size bathroom and well fitted kitchenette. Excellent host - very helpful and accommodating. Pod located in an elevated position at end of the drive of a development of a few houses so didn’t get the feel of being on a working croft although grounds directly in front of the pod are well landscaped. There was a lot of coming and going of residents past the pod who can look directly in so maybe some low hedge screening or planters...more
A beautiful house with the gorgeous views. The house was warm and the beds were comfortable. The unlimited supply of logs was very much appreciated. The kitchen and the appliances were well used and I guess that replacing items such as missing wine glasses is not as straightforward as on the mainland. This did not spoil our stay. Contact with our host was limited to a message from the house keeper before we departed.
The only thing that would have improved my stay would be if the fridge had a freezer box or there was a separate freezer.
Zugegeben...
Short stay after completing The Great Glen Way. Comfortable property with beautiful views of Benn Nevis.
I can’t fault this place. It is truly fabulous. A great family holiday, made perfect by staying in this wonderful holiday home, located in a beautiful place. The absolute highlight is the floor to ceiling window providing ever changing and stunning views. We will definitely be back!
Delighted with the cleanliness and location of The Galleries. Great place to have time to self and to explore this part of Scotland
We had as amazing week at Achintee Cottage 2. Absolutely brilliant weather helped! Great location for walking and exploring. Cottage had everything we needed. Washing machine and tumble tumble dryer was a bonus.
Very nice cottage Clean and comfortable Only for the future .keep an eye on the mould on the ceeling bathroom Maybe some more ventilarion ?? Gr
The generally good finish to the apartment was let down by the badly discoloured kitchen sink. For your information During heavy rain water was being driven in above the big picture window. I'm sure the walking to town times are accurate I think mention as to the severe slope or number of steps should be added
We were very happy except the beds for the parents was too short. The rest was good. Very strong wifi which helped a lot. Beautiful view
Perfect location, comfortable room. TV didn't work and no easy instructions. Windows didn't open. No accessible person to ask for help. Alot of instructions for the visitor on the wall but no help available when required. It was in general a positive experience, however, as the weather was good
Useful location next to station and bus station and huge Morrison supermarket. Very short walk to the Centre of town. Spacious and well equipped. No dishwasher. Heating is by electric convector heaters, so you keep having to turn them on and off. One platform of the station is immediately parallel to the sitting room and double bedroom, so trains are about 10 yards from the windows. The Caledonian sleeper is moved there at 6:30 pm every night and revs up its diesel engine continuously until it leaves at 7:50 pm. This is very noisy and you should keep the windows closed to avoid the fume...more
