A beautiful lodge with all we hoped for and more. Super clean and comfortable. Lovely location with good walks on the doorstep, perfect!
Trouble free, fantastic location and facilities. The on site pub sold excellent beer. A great weekend.
We were very pleased when we arrived at High Borrans. Althoug the way to the place is a bit narrow, the surprise when you arrive is overwhelming. Very nice lodge and very nice host. Unfortunely we were there only 3 days.
Lovely Shepard's hut and very modern. Never stayed in one before would stay again for two night just less luggage as wasn't much space to move about with our bags.
Dogs are allowed in this lodge, and you always expect a lower standard of cleanliness where dogs are allowed; however this was not the case here. You would never know dogs were allowed here, as standard of cleanliness was extremely high. Facilities in lodge were great. Lovely scenery, & peaceful. Would definitely come back here again.
Accommodation was very comfortable and luxurious for our week away. First time to visit the Lake District and will certainly be back.
Had a great break at fallbarow in bowness on windimere the park is clean and well laid out, the reception, shop, and bar are spotless and it's all in walking distance to local pubs and restaurants
Stayed for a 2 night break in October. Lodge was spotless and just like in the pictures. Lamps and heating were on when we arrived which was a lovely touch given we arrived around 6pm. The lodge location is excellent with lovely mountain views and right by the onsite pub. Definitely will be back to Keswick Lodge!
We arrived in pouring rain and what a luxury it was to walk into Elder Lodge. Home from home. Everything was provided to make our and our dogs stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Perfectly set with beautiful views.
Great cabin for a couple, the bed frame was a little rocky but otherwise everything was great. Has WiFi radio built into the cabin and all essentials provided
This is a superb lodge which is situated in a lovely position, both in the park and also for visiting surrounding areas. The lodge itself is spotless, comfy, spacious and very well equipped. The outside decking is a perfect place to sit, loved having breakfast outside, and the hot tub is the perfect end to the day.
This was our second time at lodge we have book again for next year hot tub was brilant couldn't fault anything about it would recorment it to any one roll on next August
Best holiday I have ever had, most relaxing place I’ve been can’t wait to book up again, see you’s soon
We stayed here for 3 nights with no complaints. The location was perfect next to the beck. The lodge was well equipped with very large decking. We would certainly return.
Our 2nd stay in this lodge. Its got everything you need. The hot tub is amazing, especially after a days walking. Will definately be booking again.
the lodge was really nice. there were 7 girls sharing the costs so it was a bargain for what we got. well kitted out in the kitchen and bedrooms had plenty of storage and comfy beds.
Lovely little lodge in a lovey location, plenty of walking routes around and easy access to ferries across the lake :) enjoyed our stay, lodge was lovely and clean and well presented. The hot tub was amazing and definately a highlight! No issues at all :) easy to book, easy to access the lodge and plenty of instruction about checking out etc. Information also provided in the lodge about local walks, shops, pubs etc. Very helpful.
We stayed at Horseshoe Lodge, Limefitt Park for a weekend break. The position is fantastic, with stunning views over Troutbeck. The lodge was lovely, and accommodated 4 adults and 2 children with ease. We parked 3 cars on site, 2 at the Lodge. My grandsons both enjoyed the play area . We had a pleasant meal at the pub on site. We will definitely use the site again
We have just returned from a mon-fri stay at Helm Cragg on Limefitt Park. Really enjoyed it, the lodge is perfect, clean and comfortable. It's very spacious and easily accommodated 4 adults and a youngster, who slept on our own blow up bed. Perfectly located on the site, we could actually see the pub! Very quiet site, no entertainment for the chn, other than special events the pub puts on, like a movie night under the stars - which was lovely! Pub does great food and adventure play area is great too. Lodge had everything you would want, so would definitely recommend a stay here.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lodge on a 4 night midweek break. Although the weather was not too good, the lodge itself was very clean and comfortable. Love the layout which is very spacious and would not hesitate to rebook this lodge in future.
Shoreside is a clean and very comfortable lodge with good facilities and a great view of the lake, and Bowness is just a few minutes walk away.
My recent stay at the high borrans dell lodge was amazing! I couldn't have asked for more! The lodge it's self was well equipped (even down to there being a small amount of coffee, tea and sugar), comfortable and most importantly immaculate! The location was perfect for us, we wanted to be able to get a way from the noise and enjoy the country side and thats exactly what high borrans provided! There is a bridal path walk on site through the fields which is beautiful, as long as you don't mind a few sheep! A small drive into windermere town is really worth it, a beautiful town with a gr...more
We had a fantastic stay immaculately clean very well equiped boys enjoyed the hot tub. Staff at reception were great very helpful booking was easy and had plenty information sent to us well in advance. Excellent all round will definitely be booking again. Thankyou.
Arrived at this lodge and was just Wow how nice and clean and professional. The layout of this lodge is stunning. Everything you need is there in the fully equipped fitted kitchen with integrated fridge & freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher, slow cooker, kettle toaster, cutlery, utensils and crockery. living room with a great layout with tv on wall. The bedrooms are Beautiful with master having ensuite shower room. Outside with Decking and not forgetting huge hot tub that was lush in the evenings.
We decided to book this lodge as a little getaway for our anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations! We could not fault a single thing about the Lakeland View lodge, or Limefitt Park! We travelled from North Wales and arrived rather late on the Friday night, so we were both extremely tired and hungry. When we entered the lodge for the first time, we were hit with the lovely scent of home. What striked us first was how unbelieveably clean the lodge was, and how homely it felt with such a lovely open plan kitchen and living area. Of course the most amazing part of the whole experience ...more
We had a lovely break, the lodge was very welcoming and homely, very comfortable and everything you needed was there. Also a very nice thought and just what you need on arrival a bottle of wine waiting on the table!. Would definitley recommend and stay again, the hot tub was so relaxing after a busy day out exploring.
Everything you could possible need was here in the lodge. Unfortunately we lost signal on out TV and it was off for 24hrs. Reception did very little to help, and infact seemed very disinterested. We only got help from Chris at the help centre who very kindly came out and put the problem right.
Having visited Herdwick Lodge in May here we are again in September, which can only mean one thing - we love it. what more can we say. We returned with friends and they were of the same opinion. We look forward to our next visit in 2018.
Excellent condition cosey and comfortable loved the hottub after the long walks site clean and well laid out .
Beautiful log cabin in a superb location definitely would reccomend this cabin to others!! The hot tub was perfect after a long walk! The site itself is lovely!!
We enjoyed our stay here and i would stay again We loved the hot tub we had everything we needed cabin was in 1 of the better places
I was happy to see it was immaculate and exactly like in the photos. I have inspired many people by my photos in wanting to book and even the folks to potentially own privately on the site. Beautiful settings in Autumn but can imagine all year round too. Definitely would book again.
This was our first stay in Wansfell Retreat, but our second time at Limefitt. The position of the lodge is beautiful. The elevation gave wonderful views over the countryside and meant we were not overlooked from the front of the property through the lovely huge double doors. There is so much space outside with the decked veranda and adds to the spacious interior. It was comfortable and warm, staying in September, the odd time it got a little chilly, so we turned on the heating, which after a short time we turned off again as it warms up very quickly. It's a lovely lodge and couldn't fault it r...more
Had a lovely 4 day stay at Valley View Lodge, lovely view of the mountains & valleys, lodge was lovely & comfortable, definitely book again in the future
My wife and I stayed here with my 81 year old mother and my sister and we found Grandpas lodge perfect
Couldn't rave about this place enough, everything about it was great, everything had been thought of, so well catered and in such beautiful surroundings. Perfect.
This lodge was amazing, cosy, clean, attention to detail, amazing decor and relaxing will definitely be returning in the future.
Along with my husband, daughter, her boyfriend and our dog we all had a wonderful four night stay at Badgers Hollow. It is in a quite location. It is clean, cosy and well equipped including a large American fridge with an ice dispenser which was well used. The hot tub was brilliant and used every day . We were also fortunate to have good weather and sat outside on the patio area.We enjoyed it so much the four nights went over to quickly but we hope to go back next year.
We spent four nights with the pooch at lingmoor lodge and thoroughly enjoyed it. Spotlessly clean, modern and felt straight at home. Perfect spot in white bay.
This lodge is located in a quiet area with one of the best views on site from the lounge & the outer deck. You are paying a premium for the location rather than the lodge itself, you can get larger lodges on site for less however we wanted the view ideally. No real bad points - that said we have a large 4x4 and parking is tight, you need to reverse into the space in order to make the return to exit ( This is no bad thing, and you can get 2 normal size cars on the parking area if required ). No mention is made of this on the overview - just to re-iterate though this didn't bother me. On a...more
We stayed at Pine tree Lodge for 2 nights in September. The lodge is beautiful in a beautiful setting. It has everything you would want for a very comfortable stay. It has a large veranda with furniture. The location is perfect for exploring Boweness Windermere & Ambleside. The park itself has a nice pub/restaurant a small shop & swimming pool. I would not hesitate to recommend Pine tree Lodge and loom forward to another stay in the near future.
The location of the holiday park is very good for getting out and about and seeing the sights of the Lake District
I booked this break for a long weekend with family. Love the Lake District and this park was ideally located for Boness and Windemere. The lodge was just as it looked in the photos and immaculate. . Everything but the food you needed was supplied. Great site with a park for the kids. The pub on site served excellent food. Would book again.
Enjoyed lodge very much .it was very nicely laid out and loved the hot tub.was nice and peaceful location would love to do it again sometime.
Perfect get away from the busy lifestyle with walks cycle routes and views lodge is home from home everything you need clean Just perfect our second visit in 6 weeks so 3rd around the corner thank you again
Don't know who cleaned /prepared the lodge for our arrival, but they deserve a special thanks. the lodge was like a show home. The only negative aspect was upon arrival I climbed the steps to the outside decking area and gained 12 pairs of legs going in 25 different directions. upon gaining my balance I noticed on my second foray up the steps a small notice warning of the slippery nature of a wet deck. Please either use a nonslip material on the deck and stairs similiar to my daughter's lodge, or enlarge the warning sign. As we were attending a wedding I only sampled the breakfast in the s...more
Everything was excellent, only issue we had was the wifi is pretty poor but that might be a good thing Thanks Keith
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Latterbarrow lodge in Limefitt Park. The lodge is very well presented with everything we needed for our stay, from a well equipped kitchen to the walking books and childrens games. The lodge is situated on the banks of a small river and we frequently spent our evenings listening to the sound of the river while watching the horses in the paddock on the far bank. Pony trekking is available if required, a short distance from the park, as is the local tavern which has a good selection of ales and does good food throughout the day. In summary, gr...more
Great lodge in a great location.....................................................................
The lodge was lovely, very clean,it had everything you needed, we only stayed a couple of nights but wish we had booked for longer, The area was very peaceful and quiet, just the place if you want to get away from everything and relax. I would highly recommend it and i will be booking to go back again
The Lodge was lovely, everything was great the only things I didn't appreciate is you cant get in until 3pm on the Monday and you have to be out by 10am on the Friday after you've stripped beds and vaced. This means you only get 3.5 days which makes it rather expensive and too short a stay ! It should be 1pm in and 11am out at the earliest.
A couple of things tea coffee sugar cannister would make it better foil for oven trays left enough washing up liquid for about 2 washes on arrival we was early and went into office to get fob for gate to be informed we couldn't have it until 2 of clock which we sat outside and waited said we could go through and the hay barn would be open for food and drinks as we could not go into lodge while 3 on arrival at haybarn it was shut and informed by someone in another log cabin it did not open while 5 so we drove round to our cabin to then realise that reception had kept our booking form with o...more
The lodge was very clean and welcoming with excellent facilities. The location was great too. We enjoyed exploring the park and my friends particularly enjoyed feeding the horses and ponies in the field. We had a great stay.
Lovely location with beautiful views. Lovely and peaceful at this time of the year. A little issue with sone bedding but quickly sorted out. Lovely friendly staff. Would recommend coming here for a truly scenic and relaxing break in the Lake district.
We had an excellent stay at Lavander Lodge! It was welcoming and warm. Very clean and excellent throughout! Restored our faith in Limefitt park. Just two little points the steps leading to the lodge we very slippery and could do with pressure washing to get rid of the Algie. Plus the remote would not work the TV. Minor points and the lodge was far better than we thought it would be. Thank you.
We had a 3 night stay - Thirlmere Lodge was beautiful and was in a great location on the park. Used the bar on the Friday - good facility there.
The Lodge was much nicer than I expected and in a great spot with fantastic views of the hills from the balcony. The equipment inside was great apart from a couple of issues those being the oven door which would not close properly therefore making it impossible to cook anything properly and a drawer handle in the main bedroom which was broken - I am sure these could be easily fixed if the owners were made aware though. The bi folding doors seemed not to work either? These were only minor problems which had no impact on our stay. The Lodge was modern with good kitchen equipment. There is a dish...more
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rowan Lodge despite the awful weather!! It is a very well equipped comfortable holiday lodge in a great location in terms of peace and tranquility and the nightly badger visits to the decking. Whilst the park wifi is good, the seperate broadband facility in the lodge was a definite winner for us. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff courteous, polite and extremely helpful, a truely professional team. The Haybarn was nice for a drink and a bite to eat but was a little disappointed that they had stopped taking orders by 8pm on the Saturday ...more
The lodge is in a lovely quiet part of the park with a hot tub which we took advantage of, it was a shame the lights were not working. The lodge clean, spacious and well equipped but unfortunately one of the bedside lamps was not working. We will definitely be back
Esk Pike is a lovely cosy lodge located in a quiet area of the park, this was our first visit to the lodge and we will definitely be returning . The hot tub was fantastic to relax in at the end of the day so is a bonus . The lodge provided most things I would like to suggest that a maiden would have been most helpful to dry out the towels and clothing this would be a great addition as there was nowhere to hang wet items this was the only thing that I can have a negative comment about as everything else was just perfect for a relaxing break . A good day out was had at Aira Force , lots of di...more
We booked this lodge for the second time as we were so impressed the first time we stayed. We were pleased with the redecoration of much of the lodge which has been tastefully done. The lodge is very comfortable and nice and warm after days out. We did experience an issue on the first night of our stay in that the twin room had wet patches on the beds. We hadn't noticed this until we went to get into bed at around 11.30pm but despite the late hour I can only commend the night reception staff who dealt with the matter promptly. We are looking forward to a return visit and would recommend thi...more
Enjoyed our stay at Oakwood which was situated in a quiet cul de sac and had a private hot tub which was fantastic after long walks. A few basic things were supplied for arrival. The furniture and bed was really comfortable which also helps an enjoyable stay.
Absolutely loved it.. will definately reccomend and will be returning. We picked a sunny day so enjoyed having a day out in windermere then having a bbq back at the cabin. Brill that you can take ur dog too :)
Woodland Nook was a lovely place to stay in. The lodge was clean and fresh. It was extremely comfortable and warm. We were out everyday exploring around Lake Windermer and found the lodge a great place to unwind. The owners had left several leaflets of places to see or visit. The owners should be proud of their lodge, I know we ate greatful to them for letting us stay in their "home".
We had a lovely stay at Bramble Bank with our dog Missy, the log cabin was perfect for us and the hot tub an added bonus. We didn’t use any of the facilities that White Cross Bay offered as we went off site everyday to expore the Lake District. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to return some day.
Pros: Scenery, Quiet site, Situation was perfect Cons: Too expensive for a week. Mirror needed in small bedroom.
Our 2nd stay at Striding Edge. The location is perfect - peaceful with stunning views. The lodge is spacious and cosy with a huge decking area and excellent hot tub. We look forward to coming back one day!
Our second visit to Roe Deer and enjoyed it as much as the first time, it really is a home from home!
The location of the holiday park was very good for us to get out of about and see the Lake District sites
A beautiful lodge in a great location. Definitely going again in the future. Highly recommended ****
Easedale lodge was exactly as advertised. From booking to the end of our stay the process was easy and efficient. The Lodge catered for all our needs and the facilities were good. The hot tub was an added bonus, clean and filled on our arrival. I would definitely recommend Easedale lodge to people with restricted mobility or indeed anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in this area.
Excellent and generally clean lodge in very good condition. Easy to find, perfectly located within a two-minute walk of the centre of Bowness. Would be fine to stay in even in poor weather conditions.
Another visit to JinnySpinner, just as cosy, lodge might not be as modern as others we have stayed in, but it's in a superb position by the river, probably the best in the park. Lodge would still benefit from having a washing machine. Limefitt is a lovely park, but it would be greatly improved by replacing The Haybarn with a much better pub.
Lovely location and lodge was well presented and had everything we needed . Would stay there again .
Despite heavy rain and flooded roads, well its called the lakes for nothing, we enjoyed our weekend stay. The biggest bind was driving and parking on the M6 !
a Great location for a family reunion. There were about 25 of us stopping in various lodges throughout the site. Woodmere lodge was a great place to stay, the accommodation was big enough for 3 adults and two children. The lodge was clean and in good condition. The only faults we found were the cooker knobs had been melted which made using the oven a bit unpredictable and a shelf in the shower was broken. Apart from that, all was good. The hot tub was superb.
This was our first trip to the lakes and this lodge was lovely. Clean upon arrival and plenty of room. Hot tub was brilliant, but due to time of year decking was looking worn and full of leaves. Pictures are slightly out of date, but nothing to drastic. Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. Great location as it’s situated not far from Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere. Recommend this lodge for families as well as couples.
Beautiful lodge in a great location between Ambleside and Windermere right on the bus route or a taxi was fairly cheap too. Excellent and well maintained although new plastic cups would be good. Hot tub was brilliant and ade the stay even better! Overall a lovely stay and lovely lodge.
Had an amazing time in both the lodge and the Lake District itself lovely walks followed by a nice relaxing hot tub. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Will definitely be back! Geoff and Kim
The cabin was very well equipped with everything we could possibly require. The location was excellent with access to fabulous walks. We would happily recommend.
We stayed here with my parents to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a nice lodge we could chill out in and relax as a family, in between trips into the local villages in the Lakes. The lodge is exactly as in the pictures, only better! It is very clean and has a good stock of cutlery and everything you need for a short break. We didn't get chance to use the seating area outside due to the weather but there were chairs and tables outside which looked comfy. The only hitch we encountered was having no electricity on our last day - which meant we could not cook breakfast or have sh...more
A long weekend at the lodge in September..... arrived to find the lodge in the enviable position on the water front at the park. Can’t fault the layout and size of the lodge, and it has all the facilities to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. BUT..... The lodge was looking very tired and dirty in places. The living area had not been vacuumed and the fixtures and fittings not dusted for a while. The bathroom was shabby and the extractor fan needs replacing as it does little to relieve the steam when in use - hence peeling paint and doors in there. The bath has a high side which some peopl...more
Nice clean, comfortable lodge with everything we needed, close to lake too which is ideal. Hot tub was great.
I have stayed in white cross bay previously but i must say this has been the best lodge! right next to the lake so amazing views and good for walks. lovely lodge swell
The lodge was cosy and well equipped. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us so were unable to sit out on the deck and enjoy the surroundings. The bed in the main bedroom was a little two soft for my liking but overall the cabin provided a great base for which we could go out on day trips.
Our family stayed in Yew tree lodge during September and one of our children is a young baby. The baby essentials we requested for our arrival were available when we arrived. The lodge was maintained and presented beautifully, its location is in a lovely spot on the holiday site nestled in some trees (which gave it that extra charm). We really enjoyed the cosy evenings in this lodge and when faced with a slight issue with the bolier Lake District Lodges team attended to this straight away and made sure it was fixed. Customer service was excellent. Communication on the run up and after our sta...more
Great lodge and ideal for most of what we needed. One of our party had to go and get a hotel elsewhere as he is 6ft 8 and once out of the living area the ceilings are lower and not practical for someone of that height. The rest of us had a great time and the park is very well kept with a very modern and clean bar lounge area. Will definitely consider this park again for any future long weekends.
My wife booked this for my 30th birthday celebrations and we had a lovely time. The lodge is lovely and hot tub is brilliant. The decking as other reviews say is fairly worn but this personally is not a reason to not want to stay here. The bathroom has the smallest bit of paint peeling off so not sure why people are complaining about that as it is a nice bathroom. We would definitely stay here again and were upset to leave!
My partner and I wanted a quiet relaxed break where we could take our dog. Badgers Rest at Limefitt Park was perfect for us. The lodge was very comfortable and very well equipped, it was like home from home. The views from the lodge were beautiful and being self catering we could eat in or out depending how we felt. The parks amenities were good with a pub The Haybarn from which we had a couple of meals that we took away to eat in the lodge. There was a reception with small shop that was very handy. The park had a lot of open areas to walk the dog. A lovely holiday which we would highly re...more
Very pleasant stay in this comfortable lodge, Whitecross bay has all the amenities you would expect and is well located as a base for exploring the Lakes and mountains. Really enjoyed our stay here, great breakfasts in the onsite restaurant, both Ambleside and Windermere are within walking distance and have excellent restaurants and bars.
Beautiful lodge in a nice spot. Family enjoyed the hot tub. Only negative was the decking as although there are some anti slip strips going to the door the rest of the decking becomes like ice once wet. I think someone could have a serious fall so would be better to coat the decking of have the anti slip strips all over. Beautifully done inside with everything we needed.
This lodge is in an excellent location, it's fitted with everything that will make your stay comfortable. The outside sitting area is nice and big, plenty of room for children to play. We really enjoyed our stay. White cross bay is perfect for us being in between Ambleside and Windermere. Lake District holidays were brilliant as always. Thank you.
Lovely stay have been comming to the lakes for many years......Fallbarrow is an ideal bade to stay and Skiddaw Lodge was ideal. Good location and everything that we needed. There was confusion between owner and cleaner when we arrived.....beds not made but it was rectified as soon as we called Lake Distric Holiday Lodges and the cleaner was with us in around 15 minutes and sorted straight away. The lodge was very clean and everything that we needed was there. After we arrived home there was an e mail appologising for the beds not made and a refund .....very good company to deal with and highl...more
