We've been going back to High Borrans for 9 years now, great holiday with dogs, good base to explore the lake district and Cathy is a super host. Hopefully be back next year.

Another fantastic stay at High Borrans, this time in Spinney with our dog. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Such a lovely quiet place to relax and unwind after exploring the lakes. Comfy bed and a fabulous bath! The outside space is perfect for a warm evening and the gated veranda perfect for our dog to sit and watch the wildlife.
Already booked another visit later in year!

The lodge is very spacious, has plenty of storage, is well equipped and was glean.
This is ideal for getting away from the masses and being a stones throw from the Windermere area.
Excellent walks from the doorstep.

Have been to High Borrans on numerous occasions but have not visited for 3 years. Very pleased to find that everything was just as remembered. A wonderful break in a beautiful location. Looking forward to our next stay.

We stayed with our 2 labradors and is was in a beautiful location and the lodge itself was amazing! It had everything you needed inside, the bed was comfy and the bath was amazing a nice relax after long days walking.
The host came down to say hello and was so welcoming.
I would highly recommend booking here and we will be back to stay again!

Stayed in the Spinney lodge over the New Year period and would highly recommend this lodge and location. It was perfect for both of us and our 2 French bulldogs. The surroundings were amazing and the location was very peaceful. We would also highly recommend the Queens head restaurant in Troutbeck, only a 10 minute drive away. We had the most amazing Roast Beef on New Year’s Day and the quality and service were outstanding. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at high borrens in recommendation fro somebody else who stays there we went cos one of our dogs is really frightened from fireworks and we didn’t hear any The lodge was amazing first class very warm and cosy we will be staying again next year definitely

We enjoyed a fabulous six days at High Borrans. Absolutely blown away by the lodge and the attention to detail. It was like staying in a high class hotel. It was great to stay in a place of such quality were dogs are welcomed. Such a peaceful spot with easy access to nice walks. Felt totally de-stressed on our return home.

We had an excellent week staying at High Borrans, Spinney. Such a great location, quiet surroundings but just minutes car drive to all local amenities. The lodge itself is immaculate and equipped with everything needed and more! Spacious modern accommodation and absolutely spotless, especially for a pet friendly lodge. We would definitely recommend and would love to return!!
