Our charming roundhouses, all recently refurbished, are ideal for a short break, romantic weekend or special celebration in an idyllic coastal setting.

Roundhouses comprise a double bedroom, lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and are double-glazed, centrally heated and tastefully decorated throughout. They’re fully furnished, with a flat-screen TV in both lounge and bedroom.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for self-catering, including an electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge.

Each roundhouse has a modern shower room, now with a roomy walk-in shower.

Electricity and bed linen are included, but you do need to bring your own towels.

What a wonderful action packed short break.
I didn't take my sea swimming gear and could have swam every day.
A good three hour beach walk every day.
One day with a double rainbow over the sea.
Cam home refreshed and ready for what needs dealing with once more.

I booked this for my son and his girlfriend. They were impressed with the property and the position over the valley. The restaurant was close by and served good food with large choice. Car parking on site near to the accommodation. They will certainly be returning

Everything was excellent in the Roundhouse. Was just a little disappointed that there is no WiFi, as I needed to see business emails and had to go to the reception building.

This would have been the 3rd time we have had this roundhouse and again a very nice stay and will be back again If i had one thing to suggest the entrance to the house could do with some repair work it is not great a bit of filling in would be good

We had a really enjoyable 2 night break in the Roundhouse. The property was exceptionally well appointed. The views across the dunes from the property was beautiful. The swimming pool was lovely. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the meal was so good we returned the next night. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A lovely roundhouse which was clean and had all the necessary equipment for a great stay. Beach chairs were very welcome. Staff on reception helpful and friendly. We will come again.

We arrived around 7pm and were greeted by a friendly, well presented receptionist. She welcomed us and handed our keys and information needed for our holiday home for the week. We stayed at Number 16 and was very clean, well presented and comfortable, have to say very spacious!!. We had the most amazing sea views and seating outside for us to enjoy our coffee, the extra camping chairs came in very handy!!. The highwayman bar and restaurant was very good serving good quality, reasonably priced drinks by lovely, friendly staff the food was very tasty and good quality. We didn’t use the swimming pool but apparently was fabulous for families. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

first time back after 30 years lots of changes over the years . we had a very nice time and good weather. bed was comfortable as was the settee . kitchen area well fitted out . we took a short walk to the village and got a bus to yarmouth town centre took about ten minutes longer than driving but no parking worries and only cost two pounds . staff at hermanus were helpfull and friendly ..

We booked this as this is where my friends were staying, but I’m highly disappointed. Check in was fine and the place seemed nice enough, not much space. They tell you bring your own towels but they don’t event provide you with soap to wash your hands.
I parked in the lay-by outside my friend hut as the staff said they could. Came to find after 3 hours, they had a stuck a ‘parking fine’ sticker on my window. We were in the house so they could’ve knocked but they have now left residue on my window and not even an apology. It was simply a piece of paper to say don’t park here. They then called after I had moved my car to ask them to move their car and then proceed to knock. They handled this so unprofessionally, surely you knock first and ask politely especially as staff said we could park there.
We think went to complain about this and were told that the young girl who checked us in so told us we could park there ‘didn’t exist’.
Wouldn’t recommended staying here to be honest, was completely overpriced for what you get and the customer service was awful.

We only had a few days but fitted a lot into it.
Including a visit to the 27 Century Spanish Galleon docked on the River Yare.
A very quiet and peaceful break with a catch up with my brother and his wife.
We return in July for a catch up once more for my brothers 60th birthday.

We had a lovely visit. Was sad to leave. The roundhouses are surprisingly more spacious than they look from outside. The location is amazing. The village is beautiful and locals are friendly. Didn’t spend much time in the clubhouse.

The only 2 things missing in my opinion was WiFi and some toiletries (I.e. shower gel, soap & shampoo). I also think £16 for towels is a bit of a joke, given that a lot of places provide them complimentary… it doesn’t cost £16 to wash and reuse towels. Next time I will bring my own.

All in all I really enjoyed the stay and would love to come back soon!

We booked the roundhouse mainly for its location, virtually on the beach with views of sand dunes and sea from the windows.
It was 5 minutes walk to see the seals which come to Winterton beach this time of year.
The roundhouse itself, apart from its uniqueness (looks like a Zulu hut) was comfortable and warm with all the basic equipment for a self-catering holiday.
We really enjoyed the stay and will make this an annual visit.

Had stayed on the site before in a standard chalet and wanted to try the round houses. I was very pleasantly surprised to see they had been upgraded to a high and comfortable level. Everything looked and felt new. Hope to stay again next year.
My mark 4 as to value for money is only because for a single person I think it is a bit high but real good value for a couple

This was our second visit to Hermanus, which we used as base to visit family during our stay. It's in an ideal location to access the coastal path and some beautiful Norfolk beaches without having to use a car. Horsey wind pump and Caister-on-Sea are within easy walking distance along the coast path and the County Council list a number of paths of varying distances as well. There is also easy access in the village to a good bus service if you should want to go further afield.

I have stayed in the Hermanus Roundhouses over many years and it's always a great experience. The site is well-run and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, with a short stroll over the dunes to the beach. The swimming pool on site is lovely with room for a proper swim as well as a shallow pool for the little ones. The Roundhouses are clean and cosy and parking couldn't be more convenient. Highly recommended, and great value for money.

It was our first time here and what a lovely peaceful place to stay. The roundhouse was clean , furnished exceptionally well, had everything we needed. The only comment I have is that it had no WiFi which would have been nice to have. We had a lovely quiet holiday in our roundhouse. Perfect for two people. The staff were very attentive and friendly. As it was pre-peak season, the site was peaceful. Lovely to wake to the sound and sight of the sea. The village had a couple of shops which stocked most things. We also tried the pubs, you need to book at the weekend. We will be going back in the future.

The Roundhouses were a fun and wonderful place to stay. The sand dunes and beach were minutes away and it was just a short stroll into the village. The village itself was extremely friendly and lovely.

The reception & bar staff were very friendly and the food was nice in the bar.

I would recommend a break in the Winterton Roundhouses. Looking forward to another visit soon.

We love the Winterton Dunes for walking the coastal path and the Dunes.
The Roundhouse was ideal for our needs. Very well kitted out for self catering.
The on-site Highwayman Cafe/bar/ restaurant was great BUT…. closed on Mondays (our arrival day) was a shame. Also the daily opening time of 4pm ruled out a lunchtime snack and drink. The evening meals served were excellent and the service was friendly and very good.
No WI-FI in the roundhouse but available only in the main building was a bit disappointing.
We would most definitely use the accommodation again.

Stayed in roundhouse 16 for two nights. The accommodation looks like it has been recently refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Nice views over the dunes to the sea and very peaceful, probably due to not very many guests there when we stayed, so not sure what it will be like when they get busy. Ideal for a base to explore Norfolk. The only disappointing thing was the bar and restaurant where not yet open, but there is a pub, shop and chippie in the village, only a couple of minutes walk away.

The perfect place to getaway and enjoy long walks and fresh air. The wonderful quirky huts are perfect and have everything you need. You are so close to the beach and can walk miles along the dunes. You wake up in the morning and you have beautiful scenic views from your bed whilst sipping your coffee.
The reception team are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is always clean and well presented. I was very grateful for the washing up liquid available as I had forgotten to bring some and the hospitality refreshments are a nice touch. I noticed there were chairs available to use outside which is another great idea. Thank you for a wonderful weekend away.

Great location, stayed 2 nights. Nice quiet place with a sea view, from the bedroom. Wasn't quite prepared to bring everything, like washing up liquid. The bed linen although being clean had a mild unpleasant odour.
The 9.30 am check out was inconvenient as it was a romantic break, would have preferred more time in the morning.
But would recommend and would like to return.

We love Hermanus, the little roundhouses are brilliant- very snug and cosy. You can watch the sunrise from your bed in the morning, great views of the sunset in the evening as well. The roundhouse has everything you need for cooking- cooker, microwave, pans, frying pans, chopping board etc. The chippy down the round is lovely as is the pub, also down the road. You can be on the sand dunes and beach in around 5 minutes (walking). The only slight nag we would have is the lack of internet, but even this we turned into a positive- good to get away from the access all hours 24/7 world we live in. Staff are always lovely as well. Probably be back in the spring/summertime.

We had a lovely weekend in the roundhouse, it wasn't our first visit as been several times before.
Beautiful scenery, super clean and friendly lady on reception.

The only thing I would say is that we couldn't find a WIFI code in the room or on reception.

My partner and I had a very relaxing & enjoyable three night stay in this unique & characteristic roundhouse. It was very clean & well equipped & the clever layout made it feel like a real “Tardis” inside !
The bathroom was clean & the shower was very good. The double mattress was VERY comfortable. We slept soundly each night.
The location right next to the dunes was idyllic, tranquil & peaceful.
The ample parking right outside was very convenient.
We would definitely choose to stay again.

We have always wanted to stay here but never got the chance until this year.We were able to book.Our daughter and son-in-law too.
Our little house was number 16, when we opened the front door, unfortunately a smell of cigarettes welcomed us. We opened the windows to air it.The kitchen was modern and clean.The bathroom needed a total refit.The bedroom was another matter we are in our 70's and 80's every night I had to climb over my husband to get into a very uncomfortable bed.It had certainly seem better days.This was a no smoking area but our little house smelt of smoke.The setting was beautiful and we had a lovely time. Please make a few changes and it would be idyllic.

Such a cute tidy clean little house so convenient for the beach
No need for a car once you are there
We walked everywhere so easy to local post office / shop / Chip Shop even to nearby villages
We took outside camping chairs but these are provided and there is outside wooden seating at the back of the roundhouse
All in all a lovely little getaway

Well equipped, clean, tidy, only thing I could say wrong was the bedding smelt a bit musty and the pillows didn't smell very nice, other than that it was absolutely lovely. Great food at the restaurant, good value for money all round. Would definitely visit again. Even the village is beautiful. Thankyou x

We had a lovely stay in one of the one-bedroom round houses at Hermanus Holidays. The accommodation is perfect for a couple - well thought out with all facilities and equipment required for holiday. The round houses sit on the hill overlooking the beach and we had a table/chairs behind the house which we used for breakfast. The on-site bar/restaurant and swimming pool are all good too. Nice, well-priced food and everything is very clean and well maintained. The area is brilliant too - near to Great Yarmouth and the Broads, so there's loads to see and do off-site. Winterton on Sea is a lovely little village and the beach is stunning - sandy and huge. We even managed a swim in the sea :)

From.booking, to check in and checking out, everything was perfect
Hassle free.
Clean, comfy and in a great location.
It was my first time but it definitely won't be my last.
I ate once at the restaurant, very pleasant.
I swam in the outdoor pool. Hottest day in UK ever! 19/07/2022, what a treat.
I had all that I needed in the roundhouse.
