We really enjoyed our week long stay at Torfield over the summer holidays. The cottage was great with super comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well equipped. The internet was quite patchy but that was completely understandable with the location being quite remote, but the remoteness was also made what made break more relaxing. The amenities were amazing for our two boys and baby. Everything was very well maintained and looked after. We were looking for somewhere to stay with two lively grandchildren and Lower Elsford Farm did not fail to tick all the boxes. Lovely heated pool and outdoor play area just steps from our back door and a brilliant games room just steps from the front! Plenty of walks both around the farm, beautifully kept gardens and further afield, No need to take the car out. - unless you want to explore more of beautiful Dartmoor. Lower Elsford Farm keeps us coming back year after year sometimes twice a year. Owners are friendly and very approachable. Great for kids and adults alike + reasonable prices even during term time. Stable Corner is the smallest of the 4 properties but still packed with everything you need yet still feels light, spacious and comfy. Each of the 4 properties on site are different and very well maintained and clean. Great views looking out over the glade. Fantastic location on the edge of the moors for the adventurous. We really enjoyed our short break at Garden Cottage. Despite bad weather we were warm and very comfortable in the cosy cottage and it provided a great base for exploring the wider countryside. The grounds are lovely and obviously well maintained, having an on site pool was great for a relaxing swim at the end of a day.
