After staying in the Stables 3 times and the Tack twice we were a bit apprehensive before we arrived. That soon disappeared as we entered the Hay Barn. The team at Castle Chase have excelled themselves. In our opinion the Hay Barn was excellent for two plus our dog. Looking forward to booking again in 2026.
Superb accommodation in a beautiful, quiet countryside location. Perfect for our family weekend away. The cottages are equipped to a very high standard providing comfortable, fully accessible accommodation without compromise. The welcome pack was such a lovely touch, superb bread! Communication from the outset of our booking enquiry was outstanding. We were very impressed with everything and would highly recommend the cottages. Great villages to explore, not far from Rutland Water. A beautiful part of the country. Thank you!
Property is excellent and accommodates a disabled person brilliantly. Sarah is a terrific host and provides lots of extras to make the stay comfortable. We will return and I highly recommend the cottage.
Wonderful, well appointed property nestled in the lovely hamlet of Ayston, with far reaching views and easy access to Rutland Water, great walks around the surrounding villages (check out the little booklet in the cottage called Will's Walks) and historical interest in places such as Oakham and Melton Mowbray. Sarah is an excellent host and her property has everything you will need. The bed is very comfortable and the outside sitting area is excellent for watching the cows play in the adjacent field and the sun set over the hills beyond. Would highly recommend.
