Our quirky new rivers edge holiday lodge (April 2023) features a timber interior and boasts a prime position on the River Yare.

Nature’s Nook is in an excellent location, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, perfect for fishing breaks. Wildlife enthusiasts will love watching the river activity and the sunsets are incredible!

The double doors open out to a veranda with dining furniture and steps down to the waters’ edge. Moor your own or hired boat right outside your cosy holiday lodge! Nature’s Nook has the use of a slipway at our marina just minutes away and boat and canoe hire is available locally – pre booking is advised. Don’t forget your kayaks, paddle boards etc. to explore the Norfolk Broads from your decking!

Our second stay in Natures Nook was just as special as the first. The lodge is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is powerful and perfect temperature.
We had fantastic weather for the end of October so we could sit out on the decking and enjoyed fishing and watching the boats go by. The temperature dropped in the evenings but the lodge was toasty warm inside. It was lovely to see Witchy T fly in on her broom on Halloween night with her treats. A brilliant hostess as always!
Norfolk holiday lodges are the best. We cannot recommend them enough. Looking forward to our 3rd visit to River Retreat and our 6th stay with NHL next summer. Thank you Tina for everything ❤️

Lovely lodge in a fabulous location. Everything was clean and fresh with a nice cozy feel. We had a couple of days rain but were still able to sit outside under the roof overhang. Can’t wait to return next year!

Our week at Nature's Nook was great. The lodge is in a good position overlooking the river and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We were greeted by Tina on our arrival who was checking that the property was in perfect condition. A replacement fan in the bathroom was scheduled for a couple of days after our arrival and was organised with minimal fuss. A very fast job and a chance to have another chat with Tina (and the nice man who did the job - sorry, didn't get his name).

We visited RSPB Strumpshaw Fen, Ranworth Broad (Norfolk Wildlife Trust), Norwich and also hired a day boat from Broom Boats (great fun and a lovely way to explore this lovely stretch of river).

Fishing from the lodge is challenging but still managed a good number of roach and bream.

Evening sunsets from the decking are beautiful!

We had a wonderful time at Natures Nook, the weather was brilliant along with everything else, such a beautiful setting right by the river so relaxing.
We did find it uncomfortably hot at night but the heat was extreme for our week so it was not surprising really, maybe extra fans or small aircon unit would help but that’s not a complaint just an observation related to our week, we will book again, thankyou.

Great company to deal with and lovely people, it’s a slightly unusual place being in a working marina but the moment you step into the property all you can see are beautiful tranquil views. Quiet, beautiful and convenient. Our son loved watching trains up at the pub ten minutes walk away, boat hire was fun, we paddled over to the pub on the other side and loved watching the boats sail by. Beautiful sunsets and great value. In the weather we had it was a little warm at night so open everything up before bed but generally speaking no complaints at all - a great trip had by all!

We have recently returned from staying at Natures Nook, fantastic riverside location but let down by a few points.Holiday cottage facilities were not too bad however master bed is uncomfortable and small, however I appreciate it’s difficult to get a mattress to suit all guests. Bathroom basic but has what you need, the same as the kitchen, however I would have preferred a washing machine in the property. Lounge area excellent for watching the world go bye and decking area, some comfy outdoor seating would be ideal for this area.The main downside for us was cleanliness, floors dirty, under settee cushions with lots of crumbs and definitely not to the standard expected, so great disappointment here. When this was raised it took a number of days before a re-clean was even offered, however we declined as we only had a couple of days of holiday left, you shouldn’t have to walk around in shoes to avoid getting dirty feet! Tina even agreed it was not acceptable. I’m not one to normally write reviews but as I clean cottages myself this was unacceptable, standards are there for a reason and this was very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that you encountered issues at Nature's Nook and that you found it not to our usual high standards. We have taken your comments very seriously and have since had a meeting with the housekeeping team. We were in contact at the start of the holiday; Friday and Saturday, but unfortunately we were not notified of any issues until the Monday. I would have liked to have rectified the issues on the Saturday or even Sunday had I have known sooner. New systems have now been put in place to ensure that the cleaning is to the highest standard. Outstanding riverside lodge, with beautiful decking and access to the Yare and the Broads. We enjoyed paddling to two local pubs and tranquil meanders around the local broads. Our holiday was enhanced by the fabulous service provided by Tina, who couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. We loved the local marina cafe and the train provided fabulous access to Norwich and other places. Strumpshaw RSPB reserve nearby was really great.

Staying here at the moment and it’s perfect! Whoever designed the interior needs a gold star . It has EVERYTHING you need and I can’t believe how much it does have for a small 2 bed. When we first arrived I was super pleased with the decor it is all so fresh & well maintained. Then I checked out the kitchen and it has all the utensils you could need. I looked in the bedrooms and thought what a shame there are no wardrobes as it’s nice to hang your clothes BUT then noticed this ingenious clothes hanging part at the side in each bedroom and you can hang loads of clothes on it. The main bedroom bed has drawers all round so there is loads of storage space and a chest of drawers in the second bedroom means there is absolutely no lack. The bathroom is only small but has loads of storage in an under sink cupboard and there even a shaver point on the mirror. A large smart TV. There is literally everything you could possibly want! For a small cabin there is far more supplied than we have had in far lager rentals in the past. The decking area is large and the views are amazing. We could not have asked for more! I also have to thank you for arranging ramps so my Husband could get into the property in his wheelchair. I really cannot thank Norfolk Holidays enough or recommend Natures Nook any more highly. We had THE BEST WEEK!

Good value.great outlook with pub and amenities close by .train station to take you to different places which is a five minute walk.

We have had another fantastic, relaxing stay with Norfolk holiday lodges. It was our first stay in Natures nook after 2 stays in river retreat and have already rebooked for next year for Natures nook and the beautiful new Ferry lodge, which i had a sneaky peek at
Natures nook is on the main river with wonderful views and lots of wildlife. We come to Brundall to fish and chill. Which we certainly did. We saw families of swans and cygnets (very inquisitive), ducks, the heron was a frequent visitor and a kingfisher. We caught lots of fish this visit, with more caught as the tide started to go out.
We were also treated to a yacht race on sunday morning. We had a daily fly over from the jets.
Our stay was so peaceful we hardly heard or saw anyone. It was lovely having a visit and catch up with Tina, she is a fantastic host and cannot do enough to make sure you have everything you need for a fab stay and listens to ideas and takes them on board.
We stayed during storm Ciara and witnessed very high tides, some flooding and high winds but we felt very safe in the lodge. Its so cosy and warm on cold, wet and windy nights.
The lodge is well equipped but id prefer a washing machine rather than dishwasher. But thats just my personal choice. We had a smart tv so could log into the apps we use at home and also downloaded a radio app so we could listen to our favourite stations whilst fishing.
We are looking forward to returning next summer and now regard Brundall as our second home.

Amazing lodge in an idyllic location. Clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The children loved seeing the swans and cygnets up close every morning and there are beautiful walks near by.

Amazing location right on the water’s edge. Very idyllic. Good local amenities. Norfolk Holidays were available if needed. I could not fault anything.

The accommodation far exceeded our expectations with very comfortable lounge, eating, sleeping and shower room all spotlessly maintained. The waterside patio and decking area made for beautifully serene relaxing nature lover and anglers perfect place to chill. Definite thumbs up!!!

Wonderful lodge in the most stunning location. Lovely and quiet but with such lovely views. Sitting watching the boats and yachts and being visited daily by the swans and ducks was enchanting. Loved my stay , as did my labradoodle. Even though not enclosed at the front of the property, it was easy to make it safe enough for her, using a long line. Great communication with Tina the owner too.
So hope to return soon...

We found the holiday lodge (nature’s nook) to be a very comfortable place that allowed us to have a relaxing stay with all the required amenities.
The host (Tina) kept us well informed with email, phone calls and greeted us on arrival and went through everything.
I would recommend the holiday lodge to anyone as it offers; fantastic views form inside the lodge due to the double patio doors or on the two levels of decking along with fishing from the low level decking (outside fridge for bait).

We had a wonderful stay at natures nook. The lodge is amazing very clean and modern the beds were so comfy and my son loved the bunk beds. The kitchen facilities were also very good and we didn’t even feel the need to eat out!there is a lovely pub a short walk away and the staff were lovely! We loved nothing more than relaxing in the evening and enjoying the wonderful views. A very relaxing stay and we can’t wait to return.

Clothes hanging area not great would prefer wardrobe / small mats by bed trip hazard for wife who has mobility issues

From the moment I booked the customer service was amazing conformation emails and directions for the stay. Tanya made our visit extra special going the extra mile.
I will definitely be returning, the place was really clean comfortable and really great space inside , the outside waters edge is such a beautiful view sunsets was a dream .
