.Stay at Tarporley is one of my favourite hotels to stay in around this area. This is my 2nd time here and definitely will be back. Trip to Cheshire Oaks, with a night here and an evening at the Swan before heading to The Hollies farm shop on my way home. Very easy communication and just lovely.
Excellent and friendly customer service. Fantastic location. Extraordinary house offering extraordinary volumes. Wonderful park and surroundings.
We have been to the hollies a few times, but never at Christmas until this time, the setting outside was stunning, lights entwined around trees and bushes. Inside the Scot’s pine was just as beautiful with a tree and festive lights around the fireplace. The farm shop and shops were just as festive and magical with lights and music playing. We really enjoyed a relaxing time here over Christmas. Well done team hollies on creating such a beautiful setting at Christmas time.
We’re just back from the most wonderful stay at Cathedral House, Dornoch. The property is immaculate and has been decorated in a very relaxing and appropriate manner for the age and style of house. There were 5 adults and 2 small dogs in our party, and there was an abundance of space for all of us. We had mixed weather on our stay, from mild and wet, to snow, and sub zero temperatures, yet the house was lovely and warm. The house is well equipped, and I’m not sure I can think of a piece of kitchen equipment that was not included! The golfers in our party appreciated the heated garage for stori...more
Very impressed by the Hollies. Ideal location - Tarporley is a very pleasant place, the staff was ever so nice and the breakfast food was on a different scale - delicious. The place on Sunday morning was vibrant. This is a farm shop with local produce, cards for any occasion and knickknacks with 5 bedrooms above. There are some nice restaurants close by and all in all a very nice stay.
Absolutely stunning lodge, even better with the hot tub. The new mezzanine room is gorgeous, however the green emergency light lights up the whole room at night which makes it difficult to sleep (especially as we had our 10 month old with us in the room!), it was quite a nightmare. There was also a few screws uncovered on the ceiling and walls and the hot and cold settings on the shower are the wrong way round. Other than these issues, we had a really lovely stay and the location was fantastic.
Once again another great stay in the Hollies lodges. The accommodation as always spotless and everything catered for. The most relaxing place to stay. Fingers crossed we get back up this year again. Well done to the team the effort you guys put in is second to none.
We had the most amazing and comfortable time at the hollies highland lodges, specifically the speyside suite. I missed the part where it says that this accommodation didn’t have a hot tub so was disappointed but I wasnt bothered about a hot tub anyway, a real log fire would be nice instead of an electric one but the suite was very warm and cosy. Shower gel, soap, shampoo all included and well stocked. Appreciated that tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk was provided. The bed was massive and very comfortable, the living room area is also so cosy and appreciate having full access to the smart TV ap...more
I wanted a quiet relaxing break away from life in comfortable surroundings and the lodge certainly provided that. It’s a great place to stay with all things you will need and with the farm shop on hand for food and treats it’s a perfect combination. The kitchen is stocked up on everything you might want for your stay in terms of equipment and cooking utensils, tea and coffee. The staff are for the most part friendly, helpful and approachable, which really makes a difference. The surroundings make this a perfect peaceful place to enjoy and relax.
Although it's self check-in, I saw a couple of staff who were very welcoming. Everywhere is very well maintained and good artwork. Breakfast in the farm shop was very good and special thanks to Claire for taking such an interest in my visit to the area!
Had the lodge for 5 weeks and had the best time - the staff went above and beyond for my family and I. Thank you so much!
Lovely lodge. Very clean. Breakfast hamper (additional extra) was great quality. Super location ~ quiet and peaceful with an amazing farm shop where you can buy superb quality food. Located well for exploring Chester and the zoo.
We really enjoyed our stay, this is our 4th visit to The Hollies and never disappoints. Staff in shops always helpful and polite and once they know you are staying in the lodges they always remember to apply the 10 per cent discount which is great. Lovely to have Christmas decorations up including a tree which was beautiful. We walked to the Fishpool Inn which was about 45 minutes not easiest and safest of walks so got a taxi back only around a tenner. Would be good to have some more basics like cooking oil, little packets of butter, milk jiggers, sauces just to save having to bring for a ...more
This was our first visit to The Hollies and we found the accommodation to be fantastic. It is by far the best lodge we have stayed in and we were very impressed from start to finish. The location is great, being close to lots of eateries and attractions, but also in peaceful surroundings. Bed was very comfortable and we had no issues with anything during our stay. We would highly recommend The Hollies and hope to visit again in the future.
Please could you help me with a stay again!! Many thanks, Andrew Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
