Peaceful, stunning location near Loch Ness, yet only 10 minutes from all the amenities of Inverness. Completely modernised, refurbished accommodation to a very high standard, with luxury furnishings and plenty of space. Dog friendly, with a completely enclosed garden including a Hot Tub and Firepit and walks right from the door. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed in, so well equipped and relaxing, I cannot recommend it highly enough - the owners have thought of everything and answer any queries very promptly and are very helpful.
Fabulous property with wonderful hosts. Our first stay was lovely so we came back again this year. And it was perfect again! Walk along the canal, watch wildlife from the back porch: deer, pheasants, rabbits. Soak in the hot tub, relax by the fireplace in the den... Only a few minutes drive to Inverness. It's a great location for exploring the Highlands. We will be back again.
We had a very relaxed break at Balnacraig last weekend. The abundance of routes available for walking walk in the woods behind the house gave us a wide selection of grades ranging from steep mountain bike tracks to more gentle forest roads. The autumn colours made the walks enchanting and drives along the north side of Loch Ness a wonderful visual experience. Balnacraig was spotlessly clean and really comfortable, we had all we required for a home from home experience and it is so well located for ventures north, east and west. Had a lovely restful few days at Upper Dunain. The house is ideally situated to have some peace, privacy and be surrounded by the estate land/woods - red kites flying around every day. Completely fenced in and my border collie loved the freedom while I knew he was safely contained within the grounds. Will be back …
