I visited Solsgirt home farm to do a little research for my stage play about emus. I instantly fell in love with not only the emus but the entire farm experience. 11 beautiful piglets were born while I was there. They were leaping around and loving life after a day. Inspiring. The cattle are also extraordinary up close, but my main passion was for the emus, who are so chilled out and friendly. 9 of all our group members loved the house. Very clean and high quality furnishings especially I liked the kitchen facilities since we had to cook dinners. I will book again when I visit Scotland next time. The host members were also very kind and helpful
We booked The Dower House as additional accommodation for a family party. It was a lovely space and even though it only sleeps four there was enough room in the main open plan area for everyone to comfortably get together. The views of the sheep in the morning with the hills in the background was fun and felt like we were on a farm but in luxury!
