A beautiful place to spend 5 days. The pool was hot and brilliant fun with a 3 and 4 year old, the house was warm, friendly, incredibly well-equipped, and felt like home over Christmas. Thank you!
We had a fabulous stay at Cartwheels. Everything was just perfect. We really appreciated the extras provided, like eggs and Christmas decorations. The property was warm and welcoming and felt like a home from home. My children thoroughly enjoyed the pool, which was kept spotless. We will be coming back again.

Hurdles Cottage had everything one would need for a comfortable self-catering stay. The village of Thwing is small with minimal facilities - much like many of the villages in the area which are small habitations with few houses and many farms! Many of the village pubs appear to have closed down (a legacy of Covid I guess) so given it is a few miles to the nearest supermarket it is best to come well prepared on the food front. This was no problem as we came well prepared and had plenty of frozen ready meals (COOK frozen meals are highly recommended!) and plenty of general food supplies. The...more
