Great house, clean tidy and great location. Lovely welcome pack as well. A family gathering with 2 dogs and we all loved the house.

Six friends and a small dog enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Southford Farm. The bedrooms were all a good size - beds quite firm, which suited some of us - with plenty of hanging space. The showers were good, plenty of hot water. Good supply of towels. Downstairs, the two sitting rooms gave us options for those who wanted to watch different tv programmes on evenings in and we loved having a formal dining room for suppers in and game playing afterwards. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen, plenty of crockery and enough pans. We like to cook so this is important for us. The dishwasher may need attention, we discussed this with the owner who lives close by. Outside, the enclosed garden was ideal for our small doggy companion and for us to sit in to enjoy breakfast or evening drinks. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed a lovely week although the weather was a little disappointing. We found the accomadation cormfortable and inviting. We did manage a few early evenings in the garden with a glass of wine and the children enjoyed playing in the garden.

Would you return?
Probably not as we enjoy going to different areas of UK each year.

We were a party of 8 adults and 2 young children and the house was a perfect backdrop to our first holiday in the IoW.

There is plenty of space for everyone to have a bit of freedom when things got loud but also enough to fit everyone in when we had dinner etc.

Situated some 3 miles from Ventnor and easily accessible to the rest of the island the location is ideal and we were able to get out and enjoy this fantastic place.

Southford Farm was ideal for our family of seven adults and one teenager.
Bed linen is especially lovely, although I personally found the bed a bit hard.
All amenities were good and we had a very enjoyable week.

We had a brilliant holiday staying in this fantastic large well equipped house.Ideally situated for visiting dog friendly beaches,pubs and family attractions: Shanklin chine.Robin Hill, Fort Victoria park were great and dog friendly as was Yaverland beach in Sandown.Totally recommend Southford farm for families wanting to stay in the countryside and only 10 mins drive from the lovely village of Shanklin.

What an amazing property.Spacious well presented house.Great space for 6 adults and 4 children.We absolutely loved it.Met the owner of the property who was lovely.Had a power cut and she came round with candles and a torch which I thought was very sweet of her as she was quite concerned for us.Lovely garden for the children to run around.Parking for 3 cars.Would definitely recommend a stay at this property.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren, we were blown away with Southford farm, it went way beyond expectations and there was a warm welcome of flowers, bubbles and an anniversary card to start our celebrations, there was also a welcome basket full of high quality products, my children hired a private chef for our anniversary meal and the house had everything needed to make it a special experience, we made some wonderful memories and we will definitely be returning, if you hire this property please ensure you look after it as it’s just way too beautiful to spoil, we said that we would like to spend Christmas there, just stunning

Southford farm was excellent in every way. We were a multi generation family of 6 including a 2 year old. We had plenty of space and the off road car parking was easily accessible both from the road and to the house. The garden was fully fenced and ideal for relaxing or playing. All the upstairs windows had lovely views and were fitted with safety catches. The farm is very quiet and the traffic on the road, which is not very busy, was not noticeable. We brought a travel cot (nicer to use your own) and a high chair. It would have been nice for the farm to have a high chair. We had plenty of crockery, cutlery etc and the kitchen was well equipped. We managed very well but could have done with some larger pans and I suspect this would have been more of a problem if the house had been fully occupied with 10 adults. It was good to arrive to full packs of coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits. There was also a vase of beautiful scented roses in the hallway. The owner lives on the farm and we had a mobile number to call if we had any issues but we didn't need it and were pleased to meet her on the last day and report we had enjoyed our stay. We found this farm through Island Holiday Homes who were also very helpful and also booked our ferries. (They told us we would need the highchair)

Stayed at Southford Farm with extended family to celebrate my 60th birthday. Great house in a beautiful setting and with a beautiful garden. Friendly and helpful host and an excellent base for exploring the Isle of Wight. The only thing missing were high chair and bed for small children - expected this to be part of a big house aimed at families.

Southford farm is a lovely farmhouse just in the the countryside. It is very clean with the most comfortable beds and best nights sleep in ages. It has everything in the kitchen that is required and needed
The house is in a lovely position to getting to both seaside and quaint country villages, we will definitely use again in the future

We had such a lovely stay at Southford Farm, the location is perfect and the views are amazing. Lovely garden and we had a bbq a few nights with our family and played games in the garden watching the sunset.
All of the house is well presented and very clean, lovely shower and generous kitchen with everything you need for a fabulous stay on the lovely Isle of Wight, we will be back!

We had the most amazing stay at Southford Farm this August. The house was breathtaking and completely spotless. It oozed character while still having all the mod cons we needed. There were so many little extras that we didn't expect and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. A cup of tea and slice of cake on arrival was just what we needed and there were even flowers to greet us too! The views from the windows were glorious and sitting in the garden enjoying some evening sun was one of the highlights of our stay. I am missing sitting on the window seat in the kitchen overlooking the lovely garden with its fruit trees and countryside views. The location was perfect with so many areas of beauty, great days out and places to eat only a short drive away. The owners were really lovely and so helpful. As a family of 9 we had so much space and were able to eat together and play games together in the evenings. All of the facilities were excellent (fluffy towels, cosy beds, wifi, TV x 2, washing machine etc) and I just cannot fault anything! We just wish we could have stayed longer.
I am incredibly thankful that we found this gem of a holiday home at a time when we all needed a good break. We would recommend Southford Farm without reservation!

Well equipped, spacious and comfortable accommodation. We enjoyed our stay and it was as described in the property description. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a high chair and cot but we managed to bring our own. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful week staying at Southford Farm, with children and grandparents. Lovely property in a great location, renovated to a high standard. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Southford farm has been recently renovated making it fresh and comfortable for a family holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped, the rooms are all great sizes, the house has a beautiful garden and the owners are onsite for any tips or assistance. We had a great stay.

What a beautiful house to spend your time in on the Isle of Wight. The house is very spacious and perfect for a family holiday. It has a lovely garden, fully enclosed. The owners are very welcoming and available if you need any help with anything. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at Southford Farm twice now and we absolutely love it. Great for kids, spacious and clean and we would not hesitate to recommend it. Look forward to returning again in the future.
