We loved the cottage and the lovely setting in the rolling countryside Handy for the seaside and Georgia the dog loved the animals!!
Host Alice and her team are very attentive - that includes her children who were able to point us to a few child friendly beaches that we may otherwise have missed. Nothing is too much trouble for the Coulscott team, we were made to feel welcome within the first minute of our visit with Easter Eggs for our children, while I guess the eggs were a seasonal treat (don’t expect these in the depths of winter!), on both occasions we have been treated to a welcome basket containing jam, crisps, cake and biscuits - nothing massive but a few extra items to consume. We had a wonderful week in this beautiful place. Plenty for us all to do on site and in the surrounding areas. Loved our daily feeding of the animals. The children loved the independence of going off and using the play area, especially the trampoline. Alice & Luke were fantastic hosts. We will definitely be back!
Our little one had a lot of fun on the farm. The pool was spacious and warm, the playground massive, animals really cute, our cottage comfy. We can definitely recommend this place. Be aware that the heating in the cottage always drops after some time and so you have to manually adjust it in winter to keep warm. Overall we can recommend this place and will be coming again in summer.
Lovely property. We enjoyed feeding the animals, the chickens and ducks were very funny. Loved the pool and hot tub. Chilly , windy and wet week so after a bracing walk we came back and had a great fire to enjoy. Devon out of season is excellent.
A delightful and comfortable property, attentive but not over-bearing owner, Amide, who was in hand to answer questions if required. Facilities well kept and as described- easy to access and use. Cottage was well equipped (only thing we couldn’t find was a cheese grater). Very helpful to have a dog walking loop on site. Well placed for local attractions too. Children thoroughly enjoyed the play areas and animals. Would definitely stay again.
Alice and Luke are excellent "hands on" hosts and ensure everything is perfect. We were 6 adults and 4 children ( 3 months up to 5 years old ). Superb house with lots of room and lovely high ceilings. Lovely lounge and dining room, plus a great snug where kids can watch TV. Big bedrooms with excellent beds. Bathrooms clean with good showers, etc. Great kitchen that was fully equipped. Large games room useful for storing wet clothes. Three generations enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Coulscott House. There was so much to do that the children were happy to spend most of the week on site. Alice and Luke have thought of everything to make sure that everyone is well catered for and any slight problems we encountered were soon dealt with. If we had wanted to venture further afield there was plenty to do on the doorstop but the furthest we went was Combe Martin Beach where the children loved rock climbing & rock pooling.
