The property was in a perfect location- south facing with view of windrush lake. The property was beautifully done out with everything we needed! Would definitely go back again.
The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was immaculately and tastefully furnished! The views over the lake were stunning! The location was close to many water sports and ideal for our family wedding in South Cerney!
This holiday was all about having some quality time together in a setting that suited us as a family. The house had everything we needed (& even though we couldn't find the tin opener late one afternoon, one was promptly provided the next day). There were one or two little glitches, which we rang Orion Holidays about and which were dealt with or noted. All the staff representing Orion were polite and attentative to detail. We loved the fact the property was open plan, something we don't have at home and right next to the lake. Every day the view just stunned us. We could hear the road wher...more
Thank you so much for a fabulous stay. We were greeted on arrival by a very informative rep. The house and location are both beautiful and had everything we could have hoped for in terms of facilities. One thing I would note is that, we chose the house on the basis of the ground floor bedroom (a search facility on your website) we did this as a member if our family has difficulty getting up stairs. The bed however in the downstairs bedroom is quite low and proved difficult for this member of our party to get in and out of. Just something to consider. I would however recommend the house as we h...more
The house has stunning view and very good condition. Kitchen provides all equipment needed. It also gives you a very detail guide about the facilities, dinning and shopping. No hassle to Google a lot before you go.
Had a lovely stay in this cottage in the Cotswold Water Park. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage is a really lovely, welcoming place to stay. We had a lovely family Christmas there
I felt at home as soon as we arrived. Little Maine was right next to Isis lake and was wonderful to wake up to every morning. My dog loved too and I taking her for a walk 3 times a day every day was a joy. Not just for the views and the wild life but also the very well kept areas around all the Lodges, lakes and wooded areas. I really needed the break and peace - no TV - no newspapers - and I only left Isis Lakes for a total of 3 hours!. Thank you.
Had a lovely few days stay at Natterjack Lodge. Lodge is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. Couldn't fault the cleanliness & furnishings. Will be back!
Having visited Isis previously, we were familiar with the site. In spite of a very wet week there was lots we were able to do in the area and we could return to the tranquil setting of our lodge.
Mill village site is excellent, very clean and safe. Good out door pool and plenty of stuff to do in the nearby lakes and spa facility. Also very peaceful and tranquil surroundings. The accommodation was very good too but some of the furniture needs an update. would definitely book Dragonfly again and highly recommend the Cotswolds Water Park holiday lifestyle it has that unique mix of tranquillity and action, if you want it
Perfect holiday - can't recommend this highly enough. Orion were great to book with and really helpful. Lovely welcome when we got there. House was lovely and Windrush was a great setting for the kids. Can't fault it!
We enjoyed staying at 07 Carpe Diem for the week-end: the cottage was clean, the kitchen was very well equipped (glasses for every occasion!) and there are 3 bathrooms upstairs, all with shower/tub and a toilet downstairs, perfect for our stay.
We booked this holiday with 2 primary aims and several other considerations. The primary ones were that Julian wanted to go fishing within walking distance of the property, and I wanted to be able to swim before breakfast every morning, and we checked to make sure that these were both available. Unfortunately the fishing was not the kind that Julian enjoys, as it was for large carp (more than 20 lbs), and he likes to fish for smaller species, so his fishing tackle is not geared for large fish. This meant that he could not fish within walking distance, although he found a suitable lake about...more
Our stay at No. 77 was very enjoyable - if only you could have provided better weather as well - the lodge was well appointed and met all our requirements. The property was very well heated which given the weather was quite an important element. We all enjoyed the hot tub which was well situated. If we had any complaints at all it was the last stretch of lane to get to our property which had many deep potholes and that the mattress in at least one room was rather soft and not really suitable for someone susceptible to back problems.
This is the second time we have taken a break in this property. It's great to turn up safe in the knowledge that as soon as you open the front door everything will be as you expected - heating on, clean, tidy and ready just to enjoy. The views from the balcony are also great and help take you away from the hassle of a busy work environment instantly.
Our family of 32 spent four relaxing days over the long May bank holiday weekend by the Windrush lake. In total 5 houses where rented out. Family traveled from The Netherlands, Austria and throughout the UK. We chose to use Orion Holidays for the central location, value for money, local attractions and ease of access for those flying into Heathrow and those crossing over by ferry into Dover. A perfect location for a family gathering.
From the moment we arived everything was fabulous. The view across the lake couldn't be bettered and the house was so well furnished and equipped that we felt we were at home. There was a plate of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits left for us which was so good as Tesco weren't due for another couple of hours. One of the Orion reps came soon after we arrived to check everything was OK which was something we have not experienced before at holiday lettings. The setting of the house was really good, a short walk to the pool (which was really warm) and tennis court and an even shorter walk to some wo...more
Amazing place, excellent for families and wonderful play area for kids of any age. House big enough to accommodate two families. Comfortable, clean and close to the places we were planning to see. Wonderful choice
We had an amazing holiday! I have never been to a house which was so fully equipped. It really felt like home. Comfortable beds, very childfriendly and beautiful park.
Had a great stay here, the house is beautiful and everything was a very high standard. The mattresses were extremely comfy! Kitchen is great and has everything you need. Location is also good as long as you have a car, Lidl short drive away, coarse fishing and fly fishing also pretty close. As we came here for a fishing trip, we were a little disappointed that the little lake the house is on was not stocked with fish which made our plan to fish from the terrace impossible. Other great fishing spots and cute country pubs nearby though. The hot tub was lovely also, even though we didnt use it as...more
This was our 5th stay at the Cotswold Water Park with Orion Holidays. We take 3 houses and they are always beautifully clean and well equipped. There is plenty for children to do on site and we take full advantage of WIndrush Lake for kayaking and sailing. You don't have to be in to water sports, there are lots of other interesting places to visit locally and pubs and restaurants that serve good food.
we have stayed here before and the property lived up to expectations comfortably furnished and very clean
As no one was in prior to or after leaving we had early arrival and late check out - which was great. I cant stand companies who ignore the convenience of this if able - well done Orion. Great weekend.
Really enjoyed a short break at 89 Windrush Lake. It was a lovely house, very well fitted out and in a great setting overlooking the lake. There was plenty of room for 7 or 8 adults inside and out. The outside deck with its seating and BBQ was particularly brilliant as we were lucky with the weather. Had the weather been poor we would have made even more use of all the games supplied. Just wished there had been some table tennis bats and balls to take over and play on the table.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well organised Orion was in letting this holiday house to us. Even the little details of a Christmas Card and Chocolates on arrival was such a wonderful touch. A member of the team came over to explain everything to us which was great too. The house and location was beautiful, very clean and very spacious. I have stayed in the Park twice now and would definitely recommend it especially for large groups.
The property is quite tired and needs decorating. Everything is very basic. The dishwasher did not work .... I put new salts and rinse aid in and it still did not work. I also cleaned the filter and it still did not work. I do not expect to do this on my holidays! So all week we could not use the dishwasher and with 6 of us staying there we had a lot of pots to wash. The people in the property previously had obviously used the dishwasher so when we arrived all the pots, pans and cutlery were dirty and we had to wash before using. Location for fishing is really good.
The house had decking that looks onto the lake, which was the main reason for our stay. It didn't disappoint. We were next to the Lakeside Restaurant and Bar which was great for lunch/dinner and a few drinks in the sun. The house is in a great location. The shop in the high street was a 25/30 minute walk away or 5 minutes in the car. There are lots of lovely restaurants/pubs close by.
What a wonderful weekend we had, the property was absolutely wonderful, had absolutely everything you could need and more than it says on the website Including a Nespresso machine & docking station. There was 8 of us staying for my 50th birthday and when we arrived a bottle of wine and card was waiting on the table , a lovely touch! The location was just breathtaking and the park its self has everything you could want , if you are looking for peace & quiet, walking, countryside, swimming , and a good restaurant/coffee bar & maybe some pampering then this ticks ALL the boxes. We went slightly o...more
We had a very enjoyable stay could find no faults with the accomadation at all. Very well positioned in a very safe gated compound.
Accommodation is a short walk from the spa and an easy walk to several options for eating out. Very well equipped and ideal for 6 adults looking for a relaxing weekend - spacious and comfortable. King size bed extremely comfy. Would benefit from a little extra seating in the living area e.g. Bean bag, as the sofas were really a bit cosy for 3 on each.
Property was perfectly sized for four couples and a baby. Booking was easy, and staff were polite and friendly at all times. We were shown to the property by Mark on arrival, and he was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Despite the spa/pool under-going refurbishment, it did not impinge upon our enjoyment of the facilities at all.
We rented 27 Clearwater for a November weekend to meet up with two other families. The house was lovely and the views from the windows were amazing. Lower Mill Estate is an absolutely brilliant place. Orion were fabulous at making us feel welcome, and the staff on Lower Mill were equally friendly and welcoming. If you are staying for just a weekend you don't need to leave - you can walk everywhere, go for long country walks, have a coffee or a swim.
We stayed for bank holiday weekend four adults and four children. Lovely house, very comfortable. Would be better if the windows had darker shades on as it was very bright in the mornings. Parking for the second car was also a problem. We were advised there were two spaces but when we arrived only one and the second car had to be parked quite for away in the overflow at park. There isn't any phone reception so you are asked to call on arrival but this is isn't possible. The maps aren't very easy to understand and difficult to locate things. Other than that it was a relaxing holiday and we h...more
Had to ask directions to find property, but on the whole we had a lovely weekend and everything was very satisfactory
The first view of Waters Edge lodges were disappointing, the cedar cladding has weathered on all lodges and now looks very dingy and unattractive. I know that cedar clad buildings do not need treating, but over time, they weather and discolour in different shades. I am therefore surprised that this has been allowed to happen. If they had been treated with a UV clear wood preservative it would have kept the cladding looking like new. The cleanliness of the lodge was good but let down by high level cobwebs with days, if not weeks, of spider catches attached. The sofa against the kitchen unit n...more
The unit itself had everything you would require staying in a house. I have few suggestions that you might like to take on board. 1. There was no safe for valuables i.e. passports, valuables. 2. The front door could benefit from a good locking system, everywhere in the house good security locks, felt very vulnerable as the door was glass and had only a sheer curtain, felt I was in a gold fish bowl. Some nights spent the night on the couch as there was a lot of foot steps which I really felt as though they were in the unit. The grounds are beautiful and the wild life delightful, I wo...more
