We travelled their for Connemara Pony Sales held at the Mart. It's in a great location as it's in the town & only 10 minutes walk from Mart. Underground parking means we can park up on arrival & don't have to move until we are leaving if we want. Weather was good & we had a lovely time. We will be back.

Comfortable apartment in great location. Some problems with lockbox. Lighting not adequate. Recessed lights in living area not working and one bedside light not working. We replaced that light ourselves. Otherwise, fine.

Spent a week here in August (family of 4). The location was excellent (On the main street when you walk out the door.) Private secure parking another excellent addition. Also a car charge point in the public car park for hybrid/electric cars. Has all the amenities you could require. The apartment itself is a good size and in good condition. Some small fixes required (Storage heater in hall needs securing, shower screen seals gone) but not deal breakers. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Just returned from a wonderful week in Clifden thanks to Connemara Holiday Lettings. The apartment was like a home from home. The bed was really comfy and I couldn't fault the facilities at the property. It had everything you could think off for couples and families alike. Excellent location right in the heart of the town so ideal for travelling around the wild Atlantic way and all the sights. the beaches were lovely, blue water and golden soft sand. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning as we ran out of time to see everything we wanted to see.

The flat is spacy, parking is comfortable.

Kitchen:
The devices are old, the freeze part of the fritch was full of ice, the hood was broken, not enough tools; the quality of the tools was poor.

Cleanliness:
Was ok, just a thick layer of dust was on the heating devices.

The place was very spacious and the facilities were adequate. Not perfectly maintained, but it was fine for my purpose. My one complaint was cleanliness. The bathroom mats had some sort of fuzz on them and the floor under the furniture was dusty. Those were problems I could fix on my own. And, they are problems that can be rectified by the apartment maintenance.

The apartment was comfortable fresh linen lots of hot water and had everything needed. The maintenance of the building hallways and outside patio area were bit neglected which was a pity.
We arrived late. There was milk butter and bananas there when we arrived which was nice after the long drive.

In general we found the flat to be comfortable and pleasant to stay in. We loved our trip to Connemara and would definitely come back to the area.

Things we liked:
Excellent location in the town. Less than 5 mins walk to pubs and restaurants.
Very quiet and felt safe. We never heard any noise from any other flats above or next door.
Spacious, nicely decorated and furnished - standard of furniture is excellent.
The kitchen was well equipped with lots of pans, plates, glasses etc.
Very good shower - powerful and lots of hot water.
Secure parking is a real bonus.
Welcome pack was an unexpected extra and very helpful.


Things which could be improved:
The mattress and pillows on the bed are of cheap quality, saggy and providing little support. We tried moving the mattress onto the floor but this made no difference.
There was no plug for the kitchen sink which made washing up difficult for those items which couldn't go in the dishwasher.
The extractor fan unit was missing from the hood so could not be used.
Although there was a selection of DVDs provided, there is no DVD player.
The hooks, toothbrush holder etc in the bathroom are all very old and some are really poorly fitted so are hanging off the wall. A shelf or cabinet would also be useful in the bathroom as there wasn't anywhere to put toiletries, bags etc. One towel rail is insufficient for 4 towels.
Coat hooks would be very helpful in the hall.
Although there is a good hairdryer, it cannot be plugged in anywhere within reach of a mirror. The mirror in the bedroom is miles from a socket and the mirror in the hall is fitted comically high up the wall. An extension lead would be a helpful extra.
Some better furniture on the balcony would make it more inviting and usable.

We arrived around 3pm and I was met immediately by Siobhan who let me in and showed me around. Unfortunately she could not give me access to the underground car park which meant that we couldn't go up and down the lift with the buggy and had to walk the long way around. Thankfully the weather was fairly pleasant so we didn't get wet but it was inconvenient as all the short routes back were via flights of steps.
The apartment itself was very centrally located and just a two minute walk from the centre of town. The entrance areas were not at all clean or fresh, and there was a strong smell in the corridors that unfortunately carried through to the apartment. There were some empty air fresheners and diffusers on display but being empty, these didn't help with the strong smell in the apartment.
We were given a lovely welcoming pack on arrival with milk, chocolate, fruit, water etc which was lovely and thoughtful as it saved us having to go out shopping immediately. Unfortunately we discovered that there were only two VERY flat pillows available, and no wine glasses in the press, and only one roll of toilet roll for the weekend, so we had to go shopping for them anyways!
Although the apartment looks very clean, the baby's hands and feet were almost instantly black from crawling on the floor, so although they were swept, they definitely weren't mopped. Also the presses are full of jars of old screws, nails, dead batteries etc, so these need to be cleaned out before it can be called 'family friendly'. I had to tie all the presses together to keep the baby out!
There was plenty of hot water (and towels) for use, however with no plug in the bath, it meant I had to shower the baby which was no fun for anyone, also after my shower I realised that there was no hairdryer...
There is a nice balcony outside, and a larger communal balcony to share with the neighbours. The soundproofing is very good too as despite there being a large party a few doors down, and above us, we could only hear noise when the door was open!
The kitchen has good saucepans and crockery, but unfortunately no microwave and only one teatowel..!
Overall it is a lovely apartment but the owners/letting agents need to spend a weekend in it to see some of the not so obvious essentials that have been overlooked.
Clifden and Connemara are absolutely beautiful, so I would definitely recommend this area as a holiday destination!

Unfortunately as explained at the time when you arrived the fob for the apartment was not working, again we sincerely apologise for this. We are happy to confirm that we currently have 2 now to avoid this happening to any future customers. 2. The entrance / communal area is due for painting early 2017. 3. I have never come across any strong smell in the corridor or in the apartment. 4. We purchased 8 wine glass for this apartment - they were in the cupboard? 5. We have an excellent housekeeper for both apartments we manage in Courthouse Square at no time have we ever received complaints on the cleanliness of this apartment. If we have received a phonecall during your stay we would have arranged an inspection. 6. There was a bath plug for this property, again if we were made aware at the time of your stay we would have provided you with a replacement. 7. We are sorry that there was not a hairdryer, however a lot of self catering homes do not provide unless otherwise stated. We have since purchased one. 8. We have since purchased a microwave. There were ample teatowels and toilet paper in the cupboard beside the fridge/freezer. Once again we apologise with regards to the fob for the underground carpark. We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service and would have been more than happy to have helped you with any of the above issues if we were notified during your stay. Well my Irish friend said "they sure saw you coming!" She couldn't believe I paid so much for a 1 bedroom in a building with such dingy entry and hallway. It was very dark coming in at night. The bathroom shower mechanism fell apart when used, the towel rack fell off being held at one end by one precariously ill-fitted screw, no WIFI, very few dishes, no food storage containers....
The location was convenient and the space was good. A coat of paint on that entry hall is desperately needed. The owner should be on the condo management to get that done asap.
