we stayed overnight in the Bhurtpore room (for a second time); the room is fantastic with its panelled walls and view over the mere. Stefan cooked us a three-course breakfast the next morning - fabulous food and so interesting to talk to him.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Crossley cottage for four nights over Christmas. The cottage was presented beautifully and a lovely hamper and essentials left for our arrival. The surroundings were perfect for daily walks and all the staff were amazing helping with advice. We would recommend Combermere cottages to everyone. X
I have been visiting Combermere for well over 25 years and whether its with friends or family it never disapponts. Was pleased to introduce it to a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. We booked 2 cottages Malbanc and Wellington and had the perfect weekend. Malbanc was great for gathering us all together. Plenty of room to chat and mingle. Everyone loved the place. We definitely will be back.
Our 3 rd Christmas at Combermere and 2 nd in Beckett. The cottage is perfect for family gatherings. We also booked Stapleton . Very dog friendly, beautifully decorated for Christmas and customer service is excellent.
Beautiful cottage, well equipped and very accessible. Booked with Beckett for a family gathering . The woodland walk and gardens are beautiful and the whole setting is perfect for Christmas.
I had the most delightfully relaxing stay at Empress Cottage, on the Combermere Abbey estate recently, and I absolutely would sing the utmost praise for the truly welcoming accommodation, outstanding architecture, fabulous furnishings and truly the highest standards of everyone involved in the design and cleanliness throughout the property and all of the the grounds. Once you enter through the gates, the landscape opens up its arms and greets you - the absolute expanse of this gorgeous green land and beautiful trees and wildlife is truly Mother Nature is at best, as it all feels so relaxing ...more

Wonderful location. Superb walks. We were really lucky with the weather so could make the most of the surrounding woodlands/walks without having to venture out in the car. The cottage itself was very well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful hamper left for us as well as for our dogs. Lovely decorated Christmas tree Highly recommend for a Christmas getaway from it all with family
We have been lucky enough to stay at Combermere over Christmas or the New Year for the last 8 years in one of the lovely cottages but have always wanted to stay at Stone Lodge. This year was the year and we were not disappointed in fact it far exceeded our expectations. Everything about the cottage is perfect, from the moment you arrive, to stepping inside and then being able to shut yourself away and just relax and enjoy everything the cottage has to offer. Thank you to all at Combermere.
The property itself was spacious and clean. It looked tired because of things like the worn carpets etc. The kitchen was well equipped, however the breakfast offering of bread, cereal and jams were minimal and didn’t feel “luxurious” compared to the venue itself and the cost of the stay. On arrival, we were informed that the rooms would be ready from 4pm, however at 4:15, the room still hadn’t been cleaned, yet my case had been moved to the cottage.
