Higher Wiscombe is near The Jurassic Coastline in East Devon. There are four cottages, one sleeps two, two sleep six, one sleeps twenty and all bedrooms are ensuite. There is a pool in summer, a games room and 52 acres for guests to wander and explore. Very private location, dogs and children welcome.
Our group of 29 adults occupied the barn and cottages for a week's stay at Higher Wiscombe (our second visit). It met our needs completely on every level.
All rooms are ensuite and nicely appointed.
The communal area is spacious and relaxing and was large enough for us all to fit in together.
With the use of the kitchen in Thatched cottage, whole group meals were able to be prepared without overly affecting use of the main kitchen in the Winery. Cooking implements and equipment were more than sufficient for cooking for a group of this size.

Amazing house with stunning views. The property has everything you would need for a large group, including a heated swimming pool with beautiful landscape. My favourite spot was the fully equipped Bar - just bring your drinks. The hosts are very good , flexible and kept great communication throughout. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Higher Wiscombe cottages.
A fabulous 5 star accommodation venue. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed so well looked after by Lorna.
The location is so tranquil and relaxing. The proximity to lovely site seeing spots around the area is great.
Our two Pomeranian’s had a great time too and felt very spoilt as we did with Lorna’s well thought out gift boxes.
Two other highlights on Hanks is the glorious bed and the bath!
Our stay at The Winery & Flint was really very good and we had everything we needed for our stay. The house was warm annd clean and all the rooms were all equally good and the beds comfortable. The setting and the views from the property were stunning and it was a great location for visiting Branscombe, Sidmouth, & Lyme Regis. Lorna was very helpful when booking the cottages and with any questions I had. The one and only problem we found with The Winery was the kitchen, it is far too small to cater for a house of 20 adults. The area could only fit two or three people in it at a time, the small...more
Fabulous accommodation and beautiful location, we absolutely loved our stay at Flint Cottage.
There was everything you could possibly need, the pool schedule worked well, meaning all guests could get a private session.
Very dog friendly.
The configuration of the cottages meant you were not overlooked by anyone else and had your own private garden, we spent bank holiday weekend there, when it was at full capacity, yet we hardly saw another person, so very peaceful.
Out and about you have the stunning Devon coast with plenty to do, then relax in the evening with a BBQ or pop to the local p...more
