Higher Wiscombe is near The Jurassic Coastline in East Devon. There are four cottages, one sleeps two, two sleep six, one sleeps twenty and all bedrooms are ensuite. There is a pool in summer, a games room and 52 acres for guests to wander and explore. Very private location, dogs and children welcome.
We had the most fantastic weekend celebrating my 60th birthday at this beautiful venue with a group of 34 people. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the setting is truly something special — every guest commented on how stunning the property is and how warm and welcoming everything felt.
The space worked perfectly for a larger group, creating the ideal balance between comfort, atmosphere, and practicality. It made for such an enjoyable and seamless experience throughout the entire weekend.

Amazing house with stunning views. The property has everything you would need for a large group, including a heated swimming pool with beautiful landscape. My favourite spot was the fully equipped Bar - just bring your drinks. The hosts are very good , flexible and kept great communication throughout. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Higher Wiscombe cottages.
We had a fantastic stay in Hank's Annexe. Exceptionally well equipped and a fantastic location. Nothing to hear but birds and sheep.
Extremely dog friendly and lovely to be able to walk out the gate into fields.
We had a very warm reception and in the heatwave the pool was a godsend!
We will definitely go again.
Lovely cottage … very well equipped. Ground floor bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my Dad who has a prosthetic leg. All extra bathroom handles and frames etc provided.
Beds are very comfortable.
Would definitely book again!

We had sole use of a swimming pool during our allotted times which our granddaughter loved. There were many places to visit nearby and we were only a short drive to beaches. Our host couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful and was generous with basic provisions such as toilet r...more
