Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday. The lodges contain everything needed for a self catering break. The location is well placed for exploring the West Coast of Scotland. Fantastic scenery (shame about the weather this time but despite the rain still managed to do all we had planned). Wildlife in abundance (deer, owls, otters, seals - didn't mange to see a Pine Martin this time but have done in the past). Jim and Julie always work hard to ensure our stay is perfect - thank you. Creagan Inn is a short walk away where good wine, food and customer service is guaranteed.
Once again we had a fantastic time, Even with the weather not too good, it never stopped us, getting out, so much to do. The views are stunning, the accommodation is excellent, and the grounds are extremely well kept, the play areas for the kids are great, all our 2 wanted to do was stay out playing struggled to get them in. Our Kids Look forward to our trip and they are already asking when we are going back next year, so I will need to get this booked. See you soon.
Very large and comfortable 2 bedroom caravan with beautiful views across the loch. The location is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
We had great time considering the weather which was quite wet. Caravan was a nice comfortable place to come back to at the end of a long site seeing day.
a great location very clean this was our first visit but wont be our last. as we had a wheel chair user with us it was perfect easy for the wheel chair as the entrance was all on same level. the location is great for oban and fort willam and other lovely places to visit.
On arrival nobody was in reception. Called them on the phone and was told that our caravan was ready with the lights on and keys in the door. The caravan was absolutely beautiful, lovely and clean, modern and very spacious...I have never seen so much room in a master bedroom in the caravan. The only thing I would say is missing is somekind of table lamp in the lounge because you either had to have the main lights on or off, no in between. Just note that you are quite remote so there is minimal lighting around the caravans but this didn't bother us at all. The loch view was stunning and fro...more
Another happy stay at Appin Holiday Homes, usual welcome from Jim and Julie, chalet nice and warm, pity they couldn't fix the weather, lol, can't wait until we get back to one of our favourite places, will recommend it to anyone
Had a great stay here. Very spacious caravan (a little older than the other models but very comfy. Had everything we needed and more. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Beautiful spot on tbe loch - I would stay again.
This is the fourth time we have stayed with Jim and Julie and the quality of the grounds and facilities improves year on year. We love the caravan, the double glazing combined with a very good heating system makes it super cosy. The shower is also excellent, nice and powerful and stays hot. On arrival the lights were already on and the heating was ticking over, its these small things that make you feel welcome. On another note, the view is to die for, wildlife in all its varied forms can be spotted throughout the year from pine martens to otters, seals, oyster catchers and plenty of shell...more
Appin Holiday Homes is our perfect destination in Scotland. The lodge was warm, comfortable and contained everything for a weeks self catering break. Ideal location on the West coast of Scotland for Oban, Fort Willian, Glasgow (let the train take the strain) and offered the opportunity of visiting our son in the Cairngorms. Jim and Julie as ever are perfect hosts. Lucky with the weather and great to see the Creagan Inn doing so well. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely (if slightly soggy) week at Appin Holiday Homes. Our caravan was clean and fresh for our arrival. With the front windows looking out onto the grassy area our son could play happily with us able to keep an eye on him when prepareing dinner etc. But also with cracking views of the loch when sitting snugly in the corner. While the weather was, shall we say, changeable, we had good family times catching crabs, skimming stones and paddling in the loch. The grassy area was great for playing all sorts of games and cycling round. We also borrowed a set of boules from the games room...more
Just back from our fourth holiday in Appin. Cosy lodge, amazing views and lovely owners. We will definitely be back.
Perfectly located with wonderful drives to Oban, Fort William and Glen Coe. The cottage was better than I expected with all the mod cons you will need and the rooms are very spacious. A short beautiful walk down to the local pub which serves great food. We will definately book again. The Weir family which own the site are very welcoming and helpful.
Another fantastic stay at Appin Holiday Homes excellent customer service as always. Can't beat the location scenery or local amenities.
Lovely view... Quiet site with an exceptional pub half a mile away which does fantastic food and offers a really warm welcome! Each lodge even has a torch provided to allow you to find your way home! A car is essential for getting about but loads to do and see. The guide to walks is an amazing touch and they even give the kids a treasure hunt and guide to den building.... Fantastic!
Another great stay at Caravan in Appin Holiday Homes. Fantastic Location and couldn't want for more. Owners very helpfull and friendly. Although an older model of caravan, it was perfect for us. Everything you needed there and perfectly comfortable. Great walks in surrounding area and cycle path too. Handy for everything yet, a very peacefull place. Could live there no bother! Thanks again for everything and, we shall definately return. A true Gem of a place. Joan and Neil.
The view is unbeatable, the noisey road was not evident from the blurb, most of all the place needs a new bed (coming apart ) new mattress ( deid) sofa, ( see matress) kitchen blind ( broken and rolled up ) bathroom blind ( filthy and stained) as was the 3 legged dressing table stool which had years of stains on the cover. Most of the surfaces had significant dust and in some cases dirt deposits. Wouldn't take a lot to fix but looks like that if your getting £400 for3 nights why bother? Wouldn't recommend
I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week in Appin. The lodge was very comfortable and had everything you could need during your stay and the view from the sitting room area was beautiful in autumn colours. The outside deck would be a lovely spot to sit on a summer day. The location was great for a number of reasons - great views and lots of lovely walks all round the area, especially good when you have your pet with you. The lodge is located between Oban and Fort William so there are loads of things to do, see and visit in close proximity.
