This all on one level, spacious converted barn boasts an open plan lounge, kitchen and diner, furnished to a high quality standard.

The beautiful bedroom features a king-size four poster bed, charming white furniture and French doors, overlooking the orchard.

A dazzling large walk in shower takes centre stage in the en-suite bathroom, along with wash basin and WC.

Private parking for one car and all our accomodation is pet free.

Our accommodation was above expectation very comfortable and spacious.
Away from the road the nights were very quiet, and peaceful ensuring quality rest before the next days activities.
Visiting all the towns in the region was convenient due to our location just outside Helston.
I want to return to this area and wont hesitate to rebook nine maidens.

We had another fantastic stay this year. The property was spotless as always and the sofa and bed were so comfy.

We found some new places to visit and visited some of our favourite places.

We are already looking forward to visiting again and would not hesitate in recommending Higher Carthew Farm to friends and family.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely cottage, perfect retreat, we arrived in a large vehicle, bit tight to access, no foot path to walk to close amenities, cycle good, if you can cope with hills, unfortunately, we weren't that fit, however, short drive to good eating out places and beautiful beaches.

A very nice quiet location in the countryside. The owners are very welcoming and helpful & on arrival a cream tea awaits you! We have have stayed twice before at FOXGLOVE, but NINE MAIDENS is more spacious and more comfortable.

We had a great holiday at Higher Carthew Farm. Accommodation was of the highest standard, was very comfortable and had great facilities. Location was great for exploring Cornwall, and owners were friendly and helpful.

Nine Maidens is one of four cottages at Higher Carthew farm and is ideally situated between Redruth and Helston. The accommodation is always warm, comfortable and inviting.
The cottage is very clean and well maintained. It provides a good place to return to after day exploring local woods, gardens, coves and Cornish cream teas! The owners are friendly and helpful and willing to share knowledge of the local area.

The whole experience of our stay at subject cottage was beyond expectations. The location, quality and standard of the cottage
was of the highest standard. Our hosts could not have been helpful in all areas. I would highly recommend this break to any friends or family.

Nine Maidens is furnished to a very high standard, with all the utensils etc you would find in your own home. Jane and Jeremy are very welcoming and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are extras such as towels, complimentary toiletries and a beautiful vase of fresh flowers in the lounge. We were also welcomed with a cream tea, no tea but a refreshing bottle of Cornish cider! It is in a very quiet location. Would certainly visit again.

This was our second stay at Higher Carthew Farm.
Although we were staying in different part of the accommodation, once again was in excellent order. The proprietors are always friendly and helpful. Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable.

We have been returning to Cornwall for many years. The nine maidens house is perfect for a couple. It is on one floor, well equipped with a very comfortable bed. This has been a very difficult year for everyone, so it is not surprising that the traffic in Cornwall was awful, parking is a nightmare and we seemed to be regularly stuck in traffic jams. However returning to the house was bliss,peace and quiet with only the sound of birds. A small private garden would have been a bonus. Nevertheless we would return in quieter times when this staycation madness has passed.

Just had a wonderful week in this cottage. Everything about it was exceptional. Fabulous comfy bed, lovely sofa and chair and really good shower. So lovely to be in the proper dark at night with no light pollution. Everything we needed was provided and we also bought wonderfully fresh farm eggs from our hosts who never intruded but were there if needed. The cream tea and cider was a lovely touch. The location is superb. Handy for all parts of Cornwall. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely cottage.

As last September, a great place to stay. The location is marvellous for north and south beaches. It is very quiet and the hosts are a delight. The cottage is a really good size with everything you could want. We had another wonderful stay here in June 2021.

Our stay was perfect at Nine Maidens and Jane and Jeremy were excellent hosts. Everything you needed and more was provided in the cottage with excellent facilities. Very comfortable and homely. It was a lovely touch having a cream tea on arrival and if we needed anything, Jane and Jeremy were able to help out. The location is perfect for being able to visit the majority of Cornwall, with most things within an hours drive. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely look to come back again.

We had a wonderful few days staying in this lovely place which is well positioned for exploring the local area, the ‘Poldark’ countryside and coastal paths as well as the fabulous beaches. The property was immaculate and there was a lovely cream tea waiting for us as well as milk in the fridge. We would highly recommend this for a fantastic stay.

The location of the accommodation was great. You can visit so many places N,S,E and W. The owners are very helpful and friendly. There were OS maps of 4 areas to use whilst staying which was extremely welcome. Nine Maidens is all on one level and very spacious. There is very comfortable furniture and the kitchen has everything you could want. There is plenty of hot water whenever needed. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
