Kinloch Follart is a substantial holiday home set on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. Built in the 19th Century as the local manse, Kinloch Follart offers generous accommodation. There is a spacious lounge with open fire, dining room with open fire, conservatory, large and well equipped kitchen, 6 bedrooms, two of which are ensuite and a further 3 bathrooms. There are 2 acres of land within which there are walled gardens and paths through the trees to the loch shore. There is parking for up to 4 vehicles to the side and rear of the property.

Kinlochfollart provided a wonderful venue for a large family gathering. The spacious and comfortable home allowed us to share many special moments in spectacular surroundings.

Kinloch Follart is a really lovely home set in a convenient position close to Dunvegan. The property is set into its own grounds and has ample space for parking. Highlights included a table tennis table and the general nature of the home. The rooms are beautifully proportioned with a lovely staircase centrally. Access to Dunvegan (5 min drive, 1 mile walk) is excellent. The interior of the property is quite tired albeit reasonably well equipped. The cleanliness of the property was poor and there was a lack of certain provision upon arrival (hand soap and hand towels).

A most beautiful house in the most stunning location. Great accommodation with superb facilities and it's in an ideal location for every kind of activity from hill walking and sailing to dining out in the finest choice of restaurants anywhere, although the house does have a splendid kitchen for preparation of meals in! Very comfortable, perfect property and ideal for a large group.

Kinloch Follart is an excellent base for exploring North West Skye, close to Dunvegan shops and services yet with green fields around and direct access to the shore. It’s a well-restored nineteenth-century house with attractive large sitting and dining rooms, a large and well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms with some lovely views. There is good information about the many local attractions and activities, and plenty of books and games for visitors who might not want TV (also provided in all rooms). The Islands and Highlands team were super helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

We stayed at Kinloch Follart as two families (nine of us in total). The house is wonderfully warm, comfortable and clean, and was the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Skye. There was plenty of space for everyone and the decorations and furnishings were tasteful and welcoming

The house is wonderful, very comfortable and very well equipped, it is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday. I would suggest Kinloch Follart to everybody

The house and its spectacular location exceeded our expectations. It was perfect in almost every way. However, we did have to go out and buy logs for the fire as the ones provided were damp and there were only enough for one small fire. There also wasn’t enough loo roll left in the house!
Apart from those small issues it was perfect.

Overall we had an amazing stay. I would recommend that spare toilet roll is left for guests and it would have been nice to have a couple of extra logs left for the fire on our arrival (happy to buy our own but were expecting a couple to be there).

Firstly, a huge thank you to the team at Islands & Highlands - their customer care is second to none and gave so much time to us. Both them and the owners for the house were extremely flexible and helpful.

I don't think you'll find a better house in a better location, it suited us perfectly and having so much space for drying clothes was super handy!
Anyone that's visited Skye will know to dress for all four seasons in a day, sometimes in an hour.

What a place and a what a company!!

We absolutely loved staying in the house and the beautiful location. I swam in the loch at the bottom of the garden most days and we all enjoyed the gorgeous garden. Also, the table tennis was a great bonus. What's more, the weather was glorious all week so we had great fun exploring Dunvegan and venturing further afield. We were very sad to leave!

We rented Kinloch Follart for the week leading up to our wedding on Skye with 10 of our closest friends. The entire experience was beyond what we could've hoped for and Kinloch Follart as the back drop was an absolute dream. The beautiful grand staircase, well equipped bedrooms, expansive kitchen, beautiful dinning room, and unparalleled views - you are literally ON THE LOCH - were perfect. Our friends had never been to Scotland, or to Skye, and they all fell in love with the place with Kinloch Follart as our home base; we couldn't have wished for anything more! I communicated extensively with the team at Islands & Highlands Cottages and were attentive and accommodating (THANK YOU MICHELLE!). We hope to be back in Skye soon and will most certainly be back at Kinloch Follart as soon as possible, and if it's just the two of us we'll be using Islands & Highlands Cottages for their high quality service.

We absolutely loved our brief time at Kinloch Follart. The beautiful setting of the Loch, the fields and the sheep were stunning. The house itself is incredible. It’s been very well updated and kept up. The rooms are charming. Each window looks out onto a bra and natural scene. Some show the gardens, some you can even see the lake.
I know I will dream about coming back to Kinloch Follart!

We had a lovely 3 generation family holiday at Kinloch Follart.
The house is very spacious, warm and comfortable.
The music room, table tennis room and garden were much appreciated.
The location is very safe for children and a good location for exploring various island attractions.

We rented this through Islands and Highlands Cottages as a self catering holiday rental. We could not have been happier. The house itself is lovely. Kitchen is perfectly outfitted with everything you need. Bathrooms are spacious and nice with plenty of water pressure. There are rooms and rooms and more rooms so plenty to spread out. The grounds have a gorgeous garden and a walk down to the Loch. The location was perfect...close enough to everything but still giving the feeling of being in the country. We could not have been happier here.

Our group of 8 had a truly fantastic weekend at the house. It is huge and very well equipped, with a couple of the bedrooms standing out as being of the quality you could expect in a boutique hotel. The location is great and it’s an easy walk to the amenities in Dunvegan. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Kinloch Follart, the location was excellent and beds extremely comfortable. We have booked an excellent chef to cook us a wedding feast in the kitchen and he loved the space he had to do so. My only comment would be that the property would benefit in bigger pots to be able to cook for 12 people at once and that the large rubbish bins outside were not emptied when we arrived, which made it difficult for us to get rid of our bins at the end of the stay. The WiFi was only reaching the downstairs but it wasn't a big problem. Loved the fact there is a shop, petrol station and bakery in Dunvegan. We didn't want to leave at all!
