Exceptional cottage on beautiful grounds. Very well looked after and maintained. Gamekeepers Cottage has a very large garden leading to a large pond and has outstanding views in front. Large amount of crockery and utensils - everything that you need! As a group we felt that the lounge furniture was rather uncomfortable as the seat cushions would move forward and you would have to repeatedly fix them (fixed seating would be better). After many visits to Rivercatcher we decided this time to have a family break and stay in Cilan House. What a wonderful few days it was, everybody had such an enjoyable time that we have already decided to book for next year. Even the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of the secure garden . A great highlight, especially for the teenagers, was the hot tub. The games room also was a hit. The atmosphere was very festive with all the outside Christmas lights and the indoor Christmas trees and decorations.
The lodge was perfect for a relaxing break after the Christmas madness. It has everything you need, warm and very cosy. We will definitely be coming back.
This was just a sublime visit. It far exceeded all our expectations and was simply perfect for us and the dogs. Absolutely everything that one would need was provided for. Thank you so much for a super stay.

This is the second time we have visited Rivercatcher and find the location very relaxing. The Flyfishers accommodation is exactly what we require.
The property is lovely with quality furniture and furnishings, and is in a stunning location. Although near to amenities, we could hear no traffic noise from the nearest road, it was just quiet and peaceful. We loved it there! We had a couple of minor problems whilst there, but they were sorted out very promptly by Aled, (one of the maintenance team on site). He is very helpful and knowledgeable, and willing to share information about the local area. Another fabulous stay at Rivercatcher. Perfect post Christmas relaxing treat after all the chaos! Wish we could of stayed longer!
We stayed in between Xmas and NY and it was lovely, the hot tub was ready when we arrived which was nice that we didn’t have to heat it first. There are radiators too - I was worried that it was just the log burner and therefore a little chilly when we were out all day but the heating was great. Nothing to do with the cabin and the location was great but to mention there is not a lot around and we almost ran out of fuel once as service stations are a rare find. We took our dog and he loved it, private garden is fully enclosed - they have added additional privacy bamboo to the fenced area...more
