We have stayed in better accommodation for less money so we will probably not visit north Devon again and stick with property on the south coast .

What a stunning house and a view to die for. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in a house that was exceptionally well equiped and very comfortable. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The view over Woolacombe Bay was amazing, although, the trip down to the beach via a very narrow lane was a bit hair raising!!!!! My only, very small, criticism is that the microwave needs changing as it was rusty inside and not very clean looking. Having said that it wouldn't stop us staying again.

Heating didn't work upstairs for the whole stay except in the afternoons briefly. Owners dad came twice to fix it but it kept tripping out. Result was the two main bedrooms and the main bathroom were cold at every time we actually used them. The owners/ letting agency offered 10% off another visit. The property is up for sale., the owners dad said they had only let it because it hasn't sold and they were shutting it up for the winter after we went, not even a Christmas let. So quite apart from not wanting to go back, it's unlikely it'll be available. Lots of emails with glib comments like the heat from downstairs radiated upstairs, it didn't, the rooms were cold, and "they" didn't feel a lack of heating in November impacted our stay, it did. No offer of any proper compensation beyond a bottle of Prosecco. The "hamper" was a packet of biscuits, two bags of battered crisps (one out if date) and milk.
The road up from the town is very steep and the turn in from that direction is not easy.
It's a nice house, lovely views, nicely furnished. It should have been a lovely weekend away treat for our freinds, but there is just a meaness about how these people treat you. The £400 deposit is a bit steep too.

We were very sorry to hear that the guests were unhappy with their stay at the cottage. The owners came out a few times over the weekend to try and get the heating working in the upstairs bedroom and bathroom that were being used but could only get it to stay on for short periods of time. The owners did ask the guests if they were okay with the situation and were told they were. The house is up for sale but bookings are still being taken including over the winter months, so the offer of 10% off a future booking was a gesture of good will on top of the bottle of prosecco that had already been given to the guests over the weekend to apologise for the issue. The welcome pack at Seymour includes milk, tea, coffee pods, biscuits and some crisps, which were purchased on the day of the guest arrival.

We had a fantastic time at Seymour Heights a wonderfully comfortable house with a great sea view

We had a wonderful time - relaxed and restored at this very splendid property - the view each morning was incredible and the sunsets heavenly. Close enough to the beach and long walks with the dog. Brilliant kitchen where we cooked lots of family meals and played games and cards and watched films together.

A stylish house, at the top of a hill, with spectacular views of Woolacombe beach and the surrounding countryside. You can be on the beach in 10 minutes (although it’s a little more energetic on the way back!) and walk to several cafes. Inside you have everything you need, with comfy sofas and nice thick duvets, for the colder nights.

Fab property, just be aware access is not for the faint hearted! Tight lanes but managed in a large car. Views incredible and very clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion is for more mugs with patterns on, not enough and we kept using each others!

Wow! What a view from the patio. We were looking forward to some family bbqs on there but how you can expect to cook enough for a family of 6 on a fire pit beats me.The welcome pack was very welcome and very nice. The location is in walking distance to Woolacombe, but be warned the hill is very very steep and narrow but worth it. There is a sign at the bottom saying "not suitable for motor vehicles" but people still do risk damaging the cars. The bathrooms could do with some soap dishes and shampoo trays in the shower enclosures. Overall we had a brilliant weeks stay.

A very well appointed, clean and tastefully furnished house. The provision of a dog bed, water bowl and treats was much appreciated. The view from the terrace is fantastic. The walk down the lane to the beach takes around 10 minutes. We appreciated the wine, local bread and homemade marmalade in our welcome pack. Thank you.

We had a very good holiday at Seymour Heights which is very well equipped and beautifully presented. Only issue is the very steep pedestrian access to the beach and the fact that there is not room for both a car and a buggy in the lane which provides access to the property and down to the beach so tricky for youngsters if you meet something coming up (or down) the other way.

We loved our stay at Seymour Heights last week. We arrived late in the evening but the clear directions made it easy to find the house and the house was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Luckily there were about 5 minutes of daylight left to see the spectacular view of Woolacombe Bay.

We had our two young children with us - 1 year old and 3 year old. The house worked really well for us. The very well equipped kitchen made self-catering easy for us. There were even some child friendly crockery and cutlery available. The downstairs space is very spacious, the living area was comfortable and we could access the normal TV apps. There was plenty of storage in the bedrooms to fully unpack. We were also grateful for the utility room complete with washing machine and dryer. We also appreciated the selection of toys and books which were available.

Whilst we could have walked to the beach, with two little ones, we found it easier to drive and park given the steep walk back.

The weather wasn’t hugely in our favour during our stay but the size of the house meant that we were still able to enjoy time together. There are lots of other things to do if it rains - aquarium in Ilfracombe, soft play in Braunton, brunch at the Beachcomber Cafe to name a few. There is a helpful folder with information on activities in the house.

Gemma (the host) was very much on hand to deal with any queries we had to make our stay even better. She also gave us a welcome hamper of goodies! We organised a grocery delivery for our first morning which worked well for us.

Thank you!

Family of six plus dog loved the week stay at Seymour Heights. House was clean, tidy and comfortable. Facilities were great with treats and bowls and beds for the dog. Views are stunning from the living space and master bedroom, perfect for relaxing and taking some time for yourself.
Took a few walks to the beach down the lane and back, it's steep so be prepared for that. Parking near beach was £7 for the day which we used a couple of times. Would absolutely recommend Seymour Heights
