Another super holiday at River Edge. I always enjoy staying here , and this time particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the wee decking each morning, which was sheltered even in the rain. A super way to start the day, with a calm peaceful outlook in the spacious setting. Great place for families to meet and get together, in well equipped , practical accommodation. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Another lovely week at River Edge Lodges. Weather was good and we always seem to find new places when we are up here. This time on our list was Pitlochry Morton's tea room on the main road. Been coming to Bridge of Earn about thirty years or more and Mary and John are always the perfect hosts. Lovely to see you once again looking forward to next year.

We booked a short break, just 4 days for a friends wedding that was in the area. I'm so glad we booked this instead of a hotel - the lodge was just the right size for us (2 adults, 2 kids), had everything we could need, the kids absolutely loved it, the outdoor space, the chickens, the goats and playing with the other kids. Location-wise we could not have asked for more; close to Perth, 45 minutes to central Edinburgh, the countryside and scenery is amazing.
Everyone staying there was very friendly, Mary and John were great hosts - it felt like a little community!
I would highly recommend, and we hope to return in the not too distant future (with golf clubs this time)

I booked Lodges 2,3,and 4 for 10 people during the May school holiday week, 28th May until 4th June 2022. The Lodges as usual are tidy and well equipped, the doors and windows at the Lodges have been recently updated so everything looking fresh. My grandchildren love coming to River Edge Lodges as they feel safe and enjoy the freedom they get from the large green area at the front of the Lodges. They always get upset when they have to leave but look forward to returning. They love feeding the goats and trying to find the chickens that have free range around the site. The Lodges are ideally situated, there are numerous shops nearby and within the Bridge of Earn there is the Village Inn for a hearty evening meal or The Earn Café for a breakfast if your own cooking isn't great! It also has easy access to the M90, A9 so no problem getting to the Highlands and a 10 minute drive to Perth. John and Mary who run the site are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, kind, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this location for a long weekend or a week or two holiday! I've already booked 5 Lodges for next year!!

We have stayed at the Lodges several times on short breaks and on one occasion enjoyed it so much we were reluctant to return home and were lucky enough to be able to extend for two nights. The lodges are comfortable and super clean. The new double glazed windows and door are great. Grounds are immaculate and a pleasure to walk around. We so enjoy the outlook over to the hills with a cuppa in the morning and a glass or two in the evening. Highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Mary and John for your welcome as ever.

We booked river edge lodges as a last minute break. River edge lodges provided us with a calm and relaxing break which was exactly what we needed. Mary provided us with lots of information on both local amenities, walks and activities but also things to do further afield which was really helpful. Local shopping, takeaways, restaurants and cafes are all within walking distance from the lodges. The lodge was spacious, comfortable and clean. We would book here again.

The communications from Mary before we got to the lodge were superb, including the most comprehensive list of local attractions and things to do. the lodge was spot on on arrival and the stay was fantastic, the kids loved the grounds to play in, the location was great for daily activities and the village has enough facilities as well.

I have been visiting the lodges for nearly twenty years. The River Edge Lodges are a great place to stay which is why me and my family keep coming back. You will get a warm welcome from Mary and John who will be able to suggest days out if you are new to the area. If you don’t fancy getting in the car you can just chill at the lodges or go for a local walk.

We have stayed at the lodges before and every stay has been so enjoyable. The facilities in the lodges are excellent, very clean and comfortable. A good nights sleep is guaranteed in comfy beds and peaceful surroundings. Love sitting on the veranda watching the changing colours of the trees at different times of the day. John and Mary go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you don’t want to cook there are restaurants and takeaways within walking distance plus a well stacked Co-op for essentials. Central for exploring Perthshire too. Looking forward to returning.

We have again enjoyed a stay at River Edge lodges. John and Mary have put a huge amount and thought into ensuring your stay is safe in view of the current pandemic. No small feat! The lodges are so clean and comfortable, We so enjoyed and valued the views from the lodge relaxing with a cuppa (and a glass or two). The co-op is only a couple of minutes walk away. There are lots of local walks and if you want to drive it is so central. Look forward to returning.

We booked this as a last minute stay as lockdown restrictions lifted. We were recommended River Edge lodges by a friend. We had a wonderful stay, the lodge was immaculate, everything we needed for our stay was provided (except food and toiletries of course) the setting was beautiful, the customer service was spot on. It was wheelchair friendly for our daughter and my son loved feeding the goats daily. We look forward to booking our next stay.

Had a lovely peaceful Christmas. The lodge was a cosy home from home and a great base for visiting family and friends in Fife and Perthshire. We are so pleased to find self catering accommodation that doesn’t allow dogs as one of my daughters is very allergic to them. Mary and John are genuinely lovely people, very welcoming and happy to meet any requests for extra bedding etc. We will be back next year and highly recommend the lodges.

River Edge Lodges is very special to us. We've stayed with Mary and John 4 times since 2004. Mary and John are tremendous hosts and very attentive. The location of River Edge Lodges couldn't be better for day trips all around central, east and northeast Scotland. We've even gone to the west coast. Unfortunately, I'll soon have reached that age when renting a car becomes impossible. We'll miss not being able to return.

Mary and John made sure that our stay was a great experience for the whole family. The girls loved spending time outside on the huge grass area and at the goat’s. The stove plus heating use quite a lot of energy, which could sum up, depending on how long you’re staying. We’ll be back :)

Visited River Edge Lodges between 18th May to 25th May 2019. I rented 3 Lodges for a family week, 6 Adults and 3 Children. This is my third family visit but have stayed over a twenty year period for golfing tours with 20 golfers. This place is ideal for family and sporting tours. For children there is a great open and safe green area in front of these particular Chalets so you can keep and eye on the children whilst they are out running around and having great fun.(They can also rise their bikes or scooters, so don't be afraid to bring them). There are also 3 goats Cally,Cleo and Tim that keep the children amused for ages especially when feeding them (The goats that is). The Chalets sizes are perfect and well kept. Each chalet has it's own parking area which is really handy. Shops are within easy reach, Co-Op a 4/5 min walk or Tesco in Perth 5 min drive away so you can never go short of anything you need. Close to the M.90 so easy access to all major tourist places of Interest but a visit to Glencoe (Highlands) is a must. John and Mary manage and live on the site are the perfect hosts, warm, welcoming and will always be happy to help with any problems an you can't get better than that.

This was our second visit, and we have two more planned this year. We love everything about the Lodges, clean and homely. We come here as my daughter has therapy locally, but we always make a little holiday of our trips and the location is great. We’ve been to Dundee, St Andrews, Pitlochry and Glenshee so far, but there is so much to see. Finally, Mary and John are great hosts and there’s always a great welcome

We had a lovely stay in a two bedroom lodge in August. It was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed our balcony looking out over the open green space and children'a play area, and our two children loved the goats! Mary and John were keen to do anything they could to make our stay better. Easy access into Perth, or alternatively onto the motorway if you want to travel further. We would happily stay there again!
